I love it how on December 9th everyones on here giving Hatton credit for makin Floyd fight, and takin the fight to him, and havin heart. But of course once a few days pass by now he's a bum and Floyd put it on him and all that. Why cant people accept that on December 8th Hatton proved he is on Floyds level and is an elite fighter. He just lost a close fight to the best fighter in the world.
I think as it stands wlad has the best shot. He's got the most complete package at heavy right now. Hes got the size, hes got power, and he throws good combos. If its not him, dont be surprised if calvin Brock comes in and turns it all upside down. He may not have dynamite in both hands but hes got enough to get it done. It might be boring to watch, but just because hes boring doesnt mean hes not any good.
Why so much hate for the guy? What did he ever do that was so bad? You know with this post i'm officially changing the name of this thread to "Why all the Klitschko hate"?
It seems that no matter what these guys do, it could never be enough for some people. Its almost at the level of hate that Lebron James gets on the basketball forums.
Am I the only one who remembers Tarver closing his eyes and swinging for the fences? The punch was pure luck, watch it, slow it down, look at tarvers face, he closes his eyes swings away and braces for impact. Luckiest punch ive ever seen in my life. And the only reason Tarver won the 3rd fight was because Roy stopped fighting. If you watched it, When roy was throwing he was landing at will, i mean he slapped both his feet then punched tarver right in his mouth. That fight was roy's to win and he gave it away. Dont be surprised if you see Hopkins win this one decisevly. Tarver is the biggest coward in the sport. He desrves no respect or props for anything hes done. He's had one real victory against glenn johnson and now wont ever fight him again because he knows johnson would prolly floor him in the rematch.
also with your replies name one current heavyweight that could beat him. Go ahead i dare you to name one without having people laugh at you. I mean hes up for biggest bitch in boxing so it shouldnt be that hard.
Oh and as for the decrease in size of wrestlers. That trend started in the late 90's after the fans started to become bored with the same suplexes and bodyslams they had been seeing for 20 years already. Wrestlers saw how succesful the cruiserweight divison was in WCW because of the high flying fast paced action. The Hulk Hogans and Ric Flairs of the world just werent keeping the fans interest in the ring any longer because they were too slow and predictable. It was now the rey misterios, chris benoits, and eddie guerreros that everyone wanted to see. Thats the reason why wrestlers are smaller now, it has almost nothing to do with steroids. Wrestlers just like every other athlete are in it to make money. If the big guys are selling, your gonna have more steroid abuse, if the little guys are sellin, well then everyones gonna be cuttin weight. Just like with the lineman in the nfl. Theres been lineman dying every year because of their massive size combined with the intense heat of the summer workouts. But i dont see them getting any smaller, because all the players know that that size is what the teams are looking for.
Vince has never "forced" anyone to do any steroids. This was proven in the supreme court when the U.S. Government tried to put the man in prison for doing just that. And eddie was never 240lbs, at his heaviest which was probably at his time of death he was 225lbs. And yes you can get that big at that height, its called hardwork and dedication, I know people with a simalr build to eddie and they've never done a cycle in their life.
Ive been watchin wrestling since the 80's and prolly know more about it than anyone on here. As for the comment on Triple H, he was 240lbs when he came into the wwf in 1995, when he became the wwf champ in 1999 he was 260lbs, the heaviest hes ever been is 265 and that was a couple years ago. He only started looking flabby in 2002 after he came back from fuckin his knee up because he wasnt able to train for so long. To this day he has 2 bad knees and hasnt been able to weight train as hard as he used too. Thus him not bveing as cut as he once was. Oh but just blaming steroids is a lot easier i guess. And by the way the plan to put the wellness program into effect started over a year before Eddie Guerrero died. But i guess you could just tell yourself that maybe they were planning on him dying? Sounds about as reasonable as your last reply.
Oh they were succesful in ecw? When the cruiserweights who started the divison in WCW were in ECW it was on at 1:30 in the morning on the local msg network, noone outside the tristate area knew about it except for what they read in magazine articles. I wouldnt call that a success. Did Bischoff raid ecw for talent? you bet he did. But those wrestler didnt make a penny before they got to wcw. And by those wrestlers i mean, Misterio, Benoit, Jericho, Guerrero, Malenko, Psycosis. Trust me, I am not lying about the length of time I've been watching wrestling.
Thats not true, the also have a drug policy now, but they call it a Wellness program. And if you havent noticed wrestlers are a lot smaller than they were 15-20 years ago. Then the average weight was prolly around 260-280 lbs, now its more like 230-240. So could we please leave steroids out of this, legal or not theyre in every sport, dont belittle wrestlers for doing the same things all pro athletes do. And still its not all of them, actually most of them dont do it. What people dont realize when they see a guy like Triple H that hes been lifting since he was 14. If we had been doing the same thing and working as hard as he has we would be just as big as him. So could we leave steroids out of this, wrestlers get tested like everyone else.
There is also no way you can tell me that a pro-wrestler trains harder or even as hard as boxers or football players.
Actually there is a way. I played some football in high school, I've trained in a boxing gym, and I've also trained to be a wrestler. There is no comparison. After the first few days of training in the ring, i could barely walk the next day, somethin i've never experienced after a day on the field or in the gym. You are sore for a week after just an hour or so training in a wrestling ring. You have no idea what they go through night in and night out. Which is why a good portion of them become addicted to pain killers. That is a necessary part of their life, no matter how tough you are. I'm gonna chose not to blow up on you because its obvious your ignorant to the business. And by the way, more former football players early deaths have been attributed to steroid use than professional wrestlers, dont beleive me? do the research. Oh and stop bringing up Eddie guerrero as his death had nothing to do with steroids, it was a combonation of a long time addiction to alcohol and drugs, including pain killers, that caused his death. He also was considered one of the clean guys when it came to steroids. This info coming from guys such as chris benoit, misterio, chavo guerrero and chris jericho who traveled with him almost his entire career.
This was definately a very close fight. By rounds i had it scored as a 5-5-2 draw. But, In Round 8 the ref took away a point from Castillo for hitting after the break, making that round a 10-8 round. So i scored it 114-113. Most rounds were close enough however that either fighter could have been awarded the round. But if you ask me, yes mayweather won the first fight, and then proceded to prove he was the better fighter in the second fight.
I gotta say Hatton - Mayweather. People have been polling this fight for years now at 140 and 147. I know i've been hearing about it since the Kostya Tszu fight and all the while it just continues to build interest. The other fights really havent been built up for too long.
I got Mayweather 8 rounds to 4 or 7 rounds to 5. Hatton will give him a lot of trouble in the early rounds and probably be leading 4-2 at the halfway point. Then floyd will settle in, time his shots and take over by round 6, after that every round will most likely look the same. Hatton trying to get inside and mayweather just potshotting and sidestepping his way to a UD
I hope for floyds sake he is still runnin cuz Big Show didnt look to happy and I thought I heard shane o mac say "I know that wasn't supposed to happen but..." then he trailed off. The shots were definately legit, lets just hope for the sake of boxing that that was supposed to happen that way and its just storyline otherwise Floyd better out the buildin with the quickness!
