There are some Huge fights happening later this year...
Which one are you waiting for the most?
I personally can't decide :dunno:
Mayweather / Hatton
Mosley / Cotto
Taylor / Pavlik
Calzaghe / Kessler
Pacquiao / Barrera
Other personal favorites, not included in the poll.
Vitali Klitschko / McCline - Just glad to see him back
Ibragimov / Chagaev - Finally a unification fight in the HW division
Peter / Maskaev - Should be a good HW fight
if i had only "one" fight to watch, it would be the 'Mosley/ Cotto' fight. I would also say this is the best PPV fight for the fall/ winter 07 line-up.
It's true, as some people have mentioned there are a lot of 0-loss fighters, putting their record on the line this fall... Great talent and great titleholders too.. simply amazing!
Props to all for signing their fights!!
I can't wait :la: :headbang: :fingersx: :hail:
Mayweather
Hatton
Cotto
Taylor
Pavlik
Calzaghe
Kessler
Ibragimov
Chagaev
Mosley vs Cotto cause:
I like both guys, not just as boxers but the people they seem to be
This will fight will quickly turn into a knock down drag out brawl and the guy with the biggest heart will come out on top of the heap regardless of what happens between Mayweather and HAtton, which although I am also looking forward to I think will be mainly boring until one guy wears down. I just hope Mosley knows what he is getting himself into and has enough left to make this fight everything it has the potential to be.
Taylor vs Pavlik
this fight takes 2nd place for me because Taylor will finally be in with a guy who if he backs up against will beat the absolute shit out of him. I think this will bring the fight back out of Taylor and we will have a barn burner on our hands. The only downside is the winner will probably be moving up to 168 so its not really setting up the next middle weight dynasty just a real deal contest for the move up to 168. Personally I hope Taylor eats canvas.
For me it's Hatton vs. PBF. I will finally get to see one of them fucks lose, I've been waiting for that for a while.
For the fight itself, Pavlik vs. Taylor is a great fight, I think Pavlik takes it.
That is a great list of fights, but as a few people have pointed out, there are a few more great fights not even on the list. This is going to be a great few months for boxing fans.
to me its mosley cotto just because of how much of a toss up the fight is
all of em are great though the actual biggest fight is prolly calzaghe kessler tho
add vargas mayorga and dawson tarver to this
goddammmmm
I think it has to be Floyd-Hatton for the simple fact that you have 2 young undefeated fighters in there primes, both are on the P4P list, both have had big wins in there career, and both are coming off of big wins. That sets it apart for me. There are other undefeated fights on here but those guys dont have enough big wins for both fighters. Cotto-Mosley is great also but I give the slight edge to this one for what I mentioned. Shane is also a little long in the tooth so its not a prime matchup
Mayweather-Hatton just because it's time for Ricky to have his bitchass shut up once and for all. He ran for two years and he's going to get two years worth of a beating for it.
I gotta say Hatton - Mayweather. People have been polling this fight for years now at 140 and 147. I know i've been hearing about it since the Kostya Tszu fight and all the while it just continues to build interest. The other fights really havent been built up for too long.
Mosley-Cotto.
I can't wait for this one. I think it really has a lot of potential to be a great fight. This is a big step up for the unbeaten Cotto. Ring Magazine recently declared Miguel "on the verge of greatness", and a win here would put him there. It's not going to be easy though. Mosley is arguably one of the top fighters of this era and at 35 years of age he's showing no signs of wearing down; just ask Luis Collazo. I just worry this fight won't get the hype it deserves because both guys are pretty soft-spoken.
calzaghe kessler because calzaghe will shut a lot of mouths up...
closely followed by cotto-mosley, 2 of my faves
all other fiights are mismatches....even though pavlik may have a shot at taylor if all weve seen isnt all he has got, he's so untested its hard to predict...
Great thread topic. This year is turning out to be a really great one, huh? We've had some big fights already and every single match on that list looks to be intense. I know most people are going to say Mayweather-Hatton. Not me. Why? Well, I think it's a good opponent for Floyd but I personally don't see how anyone thinks Hatton stands a chance. I think it's going to be a one-sided fight.
For me the biggest fight is Mosley-Cotto. Mosley was amazing. Fast, powerful- a real pound for pound fighter. While he's not done yet there's no way for us to know how much he has left. Cotto is strong, young, and a good fighter- this fight looks hard to determine the winner of. A young unbeaten champion facing an experience, skilled boxer the likes of witch he has never been in with. It's going to be awesome.
