give him angles, work to the side constantly and work his body as u move to the side, everyone works right in front of mayweather, doing that works right into his style of slipping and countering with his right, also if someone could counter floyds counter right with a left uppercut they might be able to do dammage cuz floyd hangs his chin out there when he throws it but nobodys been able to do it cuz there trying to avoid the right from floyd and floyds reflexes are so fast
i felt pac won by a little bit. for me it was mainly the right hook of pac over the jab from marquez thet won him the fight but the 2 most dominate rounds were marquez rounds
by the way if u saw 10 rounds thet could go either way then how can u not see how pac won
hopkins, i know he only had 2 fights but one of them made him the oldest champion of all time. if its anyone else it should be the winner of the super 6
its gonna be mayweather.just think about it hes got a bad relationship with his current trainer, hes undefeated, hes a big name fighter.just kidding iwould like to see roach training canelo i think that would be a good fit for both of them
Since watching it on HBO lately I started to think who beat Mosley more convincingly IMO it was cotto what do you guys think????
mayweather, it wasnt even close although the mosley thet fought cotto was probably a much better version and in cottos defense he beat judah much more then mayweather did
tyson and gatti always come to mind when your talking uppercuts, i know gatti didnt knock a lot of guys out with his uppercut but it was a punch he used to get himself out of trouble alot
both those guys are tougher than hell and hit hard as **** and taylor does a lot of things good but nothing great and he has a some major flaws like backing str8t up with his bad defense. and dont be to down on pavlik he only has 2 losses, 1 to hopkins whos among the greatest of all time and the other one to martinez who also is a great fighter wasnt as 1 sided as everyone remembers the rounds that he lost did look bad but that string of rounds thet pavlik won looked like he was going to ko martinez.
pavlik vs bute would be a great fight or pavlik vs froch would be great, these are both fights i think pavlik could win if he gets his head out of his ass. but for fights that we know are happining mares vs agbeko is going to be great and darchynian vs perez is going to be a great fight i watched there fights live in tacoma in there last goaround and they were 2 truly clasic fights
MARES OVER AGBEKO by split decision
cotto will never be able to keep himself from getting into exchanges with pac its just not his style.and i dont care if steward is in his corner or not i still see the same fighter as always which is a pretty damn good fighter but not quite good enough to beat pac.
the way hopkins didnt have any of the foot work he normally does against pascal is a shot fighter or atleast a fighter thets on a major down hill slide. by the way i thought hopkins won that fight but it was all his experiance and skill thet carried him and not his physical attributes
it was just a way for manny to get one on floyd just like floyds drug testing demands
i really doubt floyd thought manny was on peds and i really doubt manny thought floyd would come in overweight. both were just trying to get a victory over the other before the fight ever happened
idiotic question. it falls on the same easy work, easy mantra. pac fought nothing but weight-drained fighters. he's one dimensional, no footwork, no defensive skills (another idiotic assumption considering most of his wins were mostly because of it), he's one dimensional. then a complete turn around and say pac is too good to be true. he should take a test first.
man, how many times do we have to repeat this?
u can say manny is 1 dimensiona (which i dont beleive) but the one thing u cant deny is thet manny probably has the best footwork in the game, just listen to what a lot of his opponents have to say about him
Im sick of people saying that Lewis's punch caused the cut. Yeah, I think it was a punch, but an illegal one. Lets go to the rules
"They are prohibited from holding the ropes for support when punching, holding an opponent while punching, or ducking below the belt of their opponent. If a "clinch," a defensive move in which a boxer wraps his or her opponents arms and holds on to create a pause, is broken by the referee, each fighter must take a full step back before punching again."
The punch happened at 2:50 in the third round where Lewis grabbed and held Vitali, the ref told them to break, and then lewis while holding hit Vitali. It was an illegal punch, history will remember it as a DQ.
what history will remember is thet klitsko did very well in a fight thet everyone thought he was going to get schooled.
IT WAS AGREAT FIGHT dont tarnish one of the last heavyweight fights even worth whatching
id be buying it any way (even though i really dont like the matchup in the main event) but itl be interesting to see if the pavlik thet kod taylor will show up.
julian jackson, mike tyson, and felix trinidad are the guys that come to mind right off the bat. tyson wasnt as artistic as jackson or trinidad but made up for it with aggresion and power.
as long as he simply retired and stayed retired, and didnt make viral videos talking about how much hes going to beat up someone and spout a bunch of inaccurate racial slurs. if they arent total douchbags about it then any fighter can retire any time they want and theres nothing to be mad about
the great thing is thet nobody is talking trash about either fighter.
thats cuz both were the kind of guy thet gave us everything they had and asked for nothing in return. it would be a great fight and the biggest winner would've been the fans. these are my 2 all time favorite fighter cuz the way they left everything they had in the ring everytime they steped into it.
I think this could turn out like Gatti against Manfredy. Corrales is tall, punched with power and knew how to get leverage especially when his opponent was squared up. Gatti was a decent boxer when he wanted to be but Corrales wasn't necessarily bad at cutting off the ring (minus against Floyd but Floyd was at his peak). He was able to catch up to Freitas and Gatti was easily lured into shootouts. Thats bad news.
good point about corrales and freites, thats why i thought they would go to war later on in the fight but corrales didnt fight anything like manfredy and even if he did gatti was catching up to manfredy when they stopped the fight due to that horrible cut so i dont think it would look much like gatti manfredy. i think it would look more like corrales freites but gatti wouldnt quit. so in the early rounds i think it would be an ok boxing exhibition (not great) by gatti but later i think corrales would make it a toe to toe battle which is something gatti was always wanting to do and both guys were pretty good at that kind of fight with a not so good defense so down the stretch it would be a slug fest and i give gatti a slight edge there mainly cuz his body work. but corrales was definatly the crisper puncher so it would be a real great fight
corrales vs freites should give you a hint of how this fight would go but gatti wouldnt give up. freites had an almost identacle boxing style to gatti but he wouldnt dig in and fight like gatti when it got tough.
i think gatti would outbox him in the early rounds but by rounds 8 or 9 they would go to war and from there its anybodys fight but i would be leaning towards gatti by late stoppage
Shut the fuk up you know nothing of what you talk about. Of course he's going to get hit more because he's opening up his game and becoming more offensive. He's becoming more exciting and giving fans what we want to see. He's trying to end his career on a bang. He's as good now as he's ever been. Why don't you log of boxingscene for a while.
even hopkins admitted thet hes getting hit more because his age.
thet being said it was a great win for hopkins and he should retire now cause theres really know one that could be as big a win as last nights performance
i saw the same thing, hopefully they just edited out the parts were he was training hard cuz it will be an easy night for pac if that is really the way he is training.
