In all honesty I watched the fight twice and I came to conclusion that it's no way Pac won and this is my reason why. The fight was extremely close seeing as how every time one guy would score the other guy would, which made 10 out of 12 round close which could go either way. But it was 2 rounds that Marquez won very clearly. With that being said I would have to say Juan won 7-5.
I watched the fight for the first time this afternoon and kept the sound off. The only round I didn't quite come up with a winner for was 11. Two judges said Pac and one said Juan so I went with the judges seeing I couldn't make up my mind. When I tallied I got a draw. Hence my conclusion is Manny definitely did not win and Juan could have won.

Close rounds/fights tend to get awarded to the champion or the more agressive fighter. JMM tried to counter punch his way to victory and looked to always be on the backfoot because of his strategy.
BTW I have no problem with a draw in this fight.
I watched the fight again today and heres my thoughts
1. Compubox numbers are seriously out, if not fixed to make people believe Pacquiao was landing more than he was even throwing.
2.My angst for Pactards does not affect my judgement of Pac himself, I feel he is slightly overrated but still a HOF fighter.
3.In my heart of hearts i feel Marquez won 116-112, and that was trying to giv Pacquaio the last round because i heard so many people quoating 7 rounds to 5.
4.I now actually like Max Kellerman he is a beast of a commentator inpartial to any boxer and rightly questioned Ledermans suspect scorecard.
Pac fans and Pactards feel free to rip on me with childish posts and i will correct you and make you look stupid time after time. :boxing:
If I had to judge the whole fight by what happened in round 2, I would fine both fighters for a sorry performance. Round 2 was the most boring round of the entire fight. Nether guy did much of anything in that round. I would give that a 9-9 round, because I don't think it was worthy of a 10-10.
Upon rewatching it I had it for JMM 9-3 117-111 but with some close rounds it could have been a 7-5 115-113 loss for Pac at best......no way he won.
That's exactly what I said and that's being modest
i felt pac won by a little bit. for me it was mainly the right hook of pac over the jab from marquez thet won him the fight but the 2 most dominate rounds were marquez rounds
by the way if u saw 10 rounds thet could go either way then how can u not see how pac won
I guess that is contradictory I guess it's one of those things that in being fair I would split the rounds and give the decisive rounds to the guy who wins them clearly.

LoL delude yourselves if you want, but that was a robbery. Sure is judges weren't supposed to be boxing experts I'd say it was close. Not that it took an expert to tell who was winning, but general acceptance of the lack of professionalism and star struckedness would allow me to accept such a bad call. It wasn't as close as people are starting to settle on. It was obvious who was winning the exchanges. Their past fights were closer in competitiveness. It was clear that Juan was being effective, and Pac was struggling to keep up. Pac won because of who he is not what he did that night. I don't really care for arguing with people who's minds are made already, but Manny fans ought to be a bt more upset with their hero's present decline into sloppiness. Putting on boring fights, and just squeaking by are not what made PacMan who he is now. I say he either hangs up the gloves or gets his **** together and do something big. I'd like to see a JMM 4. Someone needs to win by KO. I'd rather see one of these two KO the other more so then PacWeather.
I can't lie when I first watched the fight I felt the same way. Only because people keep saying over and over Pac won I gave it a second chance, but even with me looking at the fight and trying to see what he did I still can't see him winning. I think it was 7-5 at the least for Juan could be more. But I agree Pac lost.
You're contradicting yourself here and I honestly am not sure what the main point of this thread is.
The point is in being unbiased what do real fans think. I like both guys but wouldn't call myself a fan. With that being said. I think because I saw 2 clear rounds won by Juan and no clear rounds won by pac I think he should have got the decision 7-5. I wanted to know what other people thought who were unbiased.

I'm asking the public. What I'm saying is I can see how the decision could go for Pac

lol
pacquiao clearly won rounds 3 and 12 although its more like jmm clearly lost round 12 for being so scared.
close rounds are not divided half / half. close rounds go to the aggressor who takes all the risks.
i gave jmm round 2 which was close, but he showed some aggression...unfortunately his face took a lot of punishment from pacquiaos counterpunching in 1,3,4.
which is why he reverted to counterpunching in round 5, and subsequently lost 5 of the next 8 rounds.
fair enough. I guess it goes to show everyone view fights different. I'm more about technicality display that's why I love Bruce lee.
Maybe the judges gave alot of those rounds to PAC because they didn't see Marquez: I'm coming to KO Pacquiao and not leaving it to the hands of the judge, I'm not going to run like coward Mosley.
Honestly man if u think Marquez was running it's pointless to talk to u. In a fight it's a style thing. A smart fighter that knows a guy is physically more capable of hurting him is doing himself justice by being cautious and making the other guy pay for his mistakes. Only a fool with charge in head first to fight a guy they know can knock them out.

You said
"I came to conclusion that it's no way Pac won"
Then said 10 rounds could have gone either way. So how does two clear rounds for Marquez equal a decisive win for him?
......

If you thought 10 rounds could have gone either way (Which is insane) how could you ask if it's a robbery?
