Vic is having a good run but it will all end if Shaw grows some balls and agrees for a rematch. Vic took 11 rounds to put Arce away and didn't knock him out like he said he would, so much for backing up his talk and walking the walk. Vic himslef was rocked a number of times, if that was Nonito on the end of those punches it would have been the same story. As much as I would love to see Nonito KO Vic again I'm afraid of the damage Nonito would do to him.

Ive been invited to around 5 different "fight nights" for the Hatton/Pacquiao fight. That hasnt happened in about 6 years now. It seems like more and more people are taking a liking to Pacquiao and therefore, Boxing in general.
I mean, what other boxer has had his own SHOE besides RJJ? Nike is busting out with some Manny Pacs. Not only that, but Pac is even coming out in the media with positive press, just him being hounded by fans, no scandal, no cheesy c-list reality show.
May 2nd will be a big day for boxing. Even if it doesn't break PPV records, this fight will do the sport A LOT of good in the long run.

Peeps in here aren't even going to entertain your thread cos it actually is quite ridiculous to say that a 130/135lb fighter is the same as a 147lb fighter. there is a reason why there are such divisions in boxing. they may look the same size but when it comes to the sweet science they are really far apart. 2/3's of the fight is the training camp and making weight and ensuring they have enough to complete the job in the ring.
IMO, floyd should grow some balls and fight someone at 147lb, I would love to see how he would handle P Williams.

Mayol had his feet planted and was in the process of throwing a right hook to the body. it does look as if it was wreckless but if you watch the replay you can see that Sosa was jumping in. Sosa initiated contact and because he was jumping in he caused the damage. it would not have changed anything anyway, Mayol would have ended Sosa a few rounds later for sure. This is a fight I'd like to see! Sure if Manny gets caught he will probably wake up in general Santos but after his performance against Oscar I give a fighting chance. sure you can argue that Oscar was past his prime, he didn't prepare well and wasn't himself but even if he did everything right in training I think he still would have lost, he just would have been more competitive. Manny has shown that he can take a punch and has the quickness to keep out of trouble and so much handspeed to give anyone trouble. This could be a fight after Hatton if that goes ahead.
