Last month i wrote a thread asking how dillusional Yahoo rankings were because they had the very over hyped and over rated Paul Williams as the #3 P4P boxer in their rankings.. Now i know they must be on crack because they have Floyd Mayweather as # 1.. Pacman as #2 and Pwill STILL AT #3!!
I gotta raise the bullshit flag on this one :bs2:
What the **** is up with yahoo boxing?!?
This isnt even the worse part! these dudes have JMM who didnt even win a round at #6! above Miguel Cotto at #7!! wtf!! He didnt even win 1 round with Mayweather..! granted he shouldnt have even been in the ring with Mayweather and props for taking on a bigger man but a ass whoopin is a ass whoopin!
Just wanted to see what some of you thought about this bullshit!
LINK!!!
Agreed. That's an incredibly poorly written statement. While not altogether untrue (Mayweather probably would have beat Marquez at any weight) the weight issue is not irrelevant and overall says a lot about Mayweather.
good post homie! thanks..
But its still bullshit! haha
like this statement from the article..
"And while it’s true that Marquez was a smaller man, size had little to do with the outcome of this fight."
Are you ****ing serious? c'mon man.. Real boxing fans are not stupid.
If you believe that size had nothing to do with it then you're mistaking.
I think he would have got dominated at 135 anyway againts may if they were in that division but at least it would have been more of a fight.. :nonono:

That's understandable.. and i know that.. but they should truly be ashamed for putting this shit up in front of millions..
It's the internet. You and I are putting our thoughts in front of millions right now. The only difference is we aren't getting paid for it.
I am confused and I wrote it.
Entire point being that p4p rankings aren't really based on anything concrete. It's just someone's opinion on who the best fighters are. It's like making a list of the top 10 best pop songs of the last 20 years and not basing it on album sales.

damn.. now im confused.... :dunno:

Good point. We'll seriously have to reconsider the p4p rankings again. I don't think we are taking into consideration the fact that some fighters haven't fought each other which really says something about their skill level.
For example. PBF never fought Cotto, who never fought Mayorga, who never fought Gatti, who lost to PBF.
I'd say that's concrete proof that all of those fighters are below PBF AND Gatti. But Gatti lost to Gomez, and Cotto beat Gomez....
This shit is hard.

P4P rankings are all based on opinions.
For example, Cotto beat Mosley, yet is ranked worse than Mosley on most peoples ranks because Mosley beat Margarito who beat Cotto.
That doesnt make sense.
Or that Pwill is ranked higher than Mosley because he beat Margarito, who beat Cotto who beat Mosley.
Or that Marquez deserves to even be ranked at all anymore. But then again he did give Pac a hard time...but then again Diaz gave Marquez a hard time but Mallianagi didnt have a hard time with Diaz (Only the judges) so I guess that means that the ranks should have Mallianagi directly after Marquez.
But since the judges gave Mallianagi a hard time they should be ranked over him and they didn't give Diaz a hard time and even though Marquez beat Diaz and the judges beat Mallianagi and Mallianagi lost to Diaz but gave him a hard time...
Not to mention PBF beat Marquez but Kellerman owned PBF...
So I think I got it.
New p4p ranks:
#1 Max Kellerman
#2 Texas Judges
#3 PBF
#4 Diaz
#5 Mallianagi
#6 Marquez
#7 Tyson Fury
#8 Margarito
#9 Winky Wright
#10 The internet
:haha:
good one - green k sir!
But how about Taylor? He beat Hopkins, draw with Wright but Hopkins beat Wright and Wright beat Mosley but Mosley beat Vargas who beat Wright but lost to De La Hoya who Mosley beat but Mosley lost to Forrest who De La Hoya never faced but Forrest never faced Trinidad who beat De La Hoya but Forrest lost to Mayorga who both Trinidad and De La Hoya beat.
:dunno:

WHO GIVES A F#CK REALLY?!?!?
i mean, when you get ranked p4p your gonna get compared with Suger Ray, Sugar Ray Leonard, Henry Armstrong, Duran, and Ali! when you really look at it, none of the f#ckers in todays boxing belong anywhere near these guys! I love Jones Jr, Manny Pacquiao and yes I gotta give props to gayweather for his skill, but none of these guys CAN NOT HOLD A CANDLE TO THE TRUE GREAT WARRIORS of yester years boxers! todays boxers are athletes, they are NOT WARRIORS!! therefore the p4p dont mean shit cos they need to stand next to theTRUE WARRIORS that started the p4p talk!
disclosure: todays boxers are warriors and i have the utmost respect for them. ive been in the ring and just to do the training these guys do will kill the average man! but as i said, next to the aforementioned fighters, they aint shit!
