That's a rather unfortunate name, whoever thought of it. :cringe1:

Meh, we don't need to bring politics and social activists to unrelated events like boxing. It was bad enough that the Eric Garner crowd interrupted the lighting of the Rockefeller Tree by chanting "I CAN'T BREATHE", although I'm glad they drowned out Seth McFarlane's voice. Getting tickets to a boxing match isn't helping your dead son.
Not that I care about his personal life, but what's the point of getting a car for your daughter at 14? Yeah, the mom would be riding it but by the time the girl hits 16, a new car would've been more relevant then, not the hand me down from your mom. Although that's a very nice hand me down.
Pauli used to work out at the Wildcard back in the day. Maybe Roach wouldn't train him or Pac jacked him up in sparring.
He went to Wild Card a year after the drug accusations actually, which I still have trouble figuring out why.
I don't remember Malignaggi ever being a Pac-tard either. He's been hating on him since Manny predicted that Hatton would beat him.
Floyd is probably like ":D Cha Ching"
Talk about him right before his fight, CNN doing him a bit of a favor.
You guys act like he has the brains to plan this whole thing out when he and Ellerbe are asking the media to stop asking him about it.
Well, this was the most disappointing news I've read all year. Didn't Manny get a clue after his lawyer told him to leave Top Rank, especially with the tax problems? There goes Mayweather vs Pacquiao.
This is why I've stopped posting on this site several years ago. People here tend to forget that there's a world of boxing fans outside this messageboard.
in other words: "help!!! the IRS are encircling my compound... please help floyd... let me fight you!!!"
So Manny defends himself for like the first time in a very long time and people are already taking his words personally like they were Floyd himself. I remembered why I stopped posting on this messageboard a long time ago. Can't remember my first username for the life of me.
Anyone else think he just wants to add another KO to his resume (finally) and the only way is to go back down to 140 where he had his greatest KO with Ricky Hatton?
Well, that, and there isn't much for him in welterweight aside from Mayweather and the Marquez/Alvarado winner.
As sick as I am of seeing him with Marquez again, it's never a boring fight. Obviously, Marquez would ideally want his business with Manny to be finished on a high note with that KO, but money talks.
Alvarado would be interesting too. He'd be another great addition to Manny's resume if he beats Marquez. I have no complaints of either opponent.
Only the Pac fanatics would not see this as Schaefer thinking highly of Pac. He's not using his name to sell or do anything... When people called Pac a mini Tyson it wasnt to sell his name. :/... People reach this badly? Pac is currently the ultimate compliment to be called if youre an agressive fighter.
He fights nothing like Pacquiao though. =/ This would be like Bob Arum saying Bradley was the next Mayweather. I don't mind the Matthyse comparison, but Maidana?
After a 2 year lay off Floyd schooled the then No 2 rated P4P fighter in the world who later went and KOed Manny .
Cotto was top 10 so was Canelo .
Why are you using triangle theories? So Bradley beat Marquez, that makes him better than Manny too?
Oh why do I even bother trying on this forum. People here obviously spend too much time defending their favorite fighters over other biased fans.
If he wasn't playing professional basketball, he'd still be playing basketball. The guy doesn't really seem to take it seriously anyway. At least he's getting into shape.
I'm waiting for the day when boxing realizes that Paulie is irrelevant, but unfortunately, Showtime gave him an additional 15 or more minutes of fame...
