I've seen some rumors on twitter that i guess pac said he might move down
Apparently according to the AP Pac said he could still even make 135, how legit is this source and if you believe it, do you think he actually goes down?
People don't seem to understand this.

Oh look, Marquez is bigger than Floyd :dunce:
So is Ricky Hatton because he came in at 152 against Pacquiao.
All those fat women you see at McDonalds, they are all naturally heavier than Tyson Fury because they weigh more.
Well yeah the larios fight was at featherweight, if he was rehydrating back to 144 from 126/130, then he should have no problem making 140..
Manny walks around at 144-45, if he sweats out some water the day before and takes a nice healthy crap, meh should make 140 with ease...we are talking about 4 pounds from his walk around weight, not all the way down to feather like he was vs larios
Agreed. At this rate, some 140lbers are still heavier than him.
Manny's walk-around weight though is 155+. His fully hydrated fighting weight has been fluctuating at 149-151. Making 140 shouldn't be that difficult.
He could make 140 with ease. He weighs in at like 143-4 all the time for his WW fights. 135 might be a stretch, I mean, I think he could make the weight but it might be very taxing at this point in his career. I wouldn't be mad at a move down to 140 to take on Ruslan!! :boxing:
I think 140 is his best weight. His speed would still be above average and his power would be more dangerous vs. 140 lbers. He'd clean out the division.
The only 147 lber worth staying there for is Floyd, who seems to have no interest in the fight.
And he'd take less punishment. It makes a ton of sense.
The extra-high calorie intake was just an exaggeration. As early as the Larios fight in 2006, Manny was already rehydrating to 144+. You can see how sunken his eyes and cheeks look on weigh-ins. Leading up to the Dela Hoya fight, Buboy claimed that he got into an argument with Ariza because the plyometrics program that Ariza had been implementing was slowing Pacquiao down. His performances against Dela Hoya, Hatton and Cotto proved otherwise however, enough for Floyd's camp and fans to call for extra drug testing. I won't believe everything that comes out of Pacquiao's camp.
And contrary to the claims made by other posters, Pacquiao actually leads a very active lifestyle. He is constantly involved with sports festivals, makes it a point to jog and shadow box everytime he wakes up. His work as a congressman doesn't impede his athletic life whatsoever because he is a nearly a ghost employee in the House of Congress. As a matter of fact, he has the most absences.

Pac has been Henry Armstronging his opponents for so long people forget he's a legit 140lb fighter.
People complain about Pac's power as of late, but they forget he's only KO'd people at 140 and below. His power while still scary at 147 is not one hit-KO scary.
He only makes welter due to the high calorie diet he takes to keep mass on.. If he moved to a more traditional diet program, he would be walking around at 140 and should make it pretty easily... It's just a switch in diets.. Going to 135 would be more difficult but not 140.. He doesn't even cut weight to make welter, so changing calorie intake, and actually cutting weight week of fight, shouldn't be a huge deal IMO

I feel like this might be posturing to make a Provodnikov fight at 140 or Mikey Garcia fight at 135 happen. It wouldn't hurt to see Pacquiao claiming more titles in different weight classes. I also think the extra work needed to go down in a lower weight might make him a little more explosive than we've seen lately.
I don't believe that. He might make the weight but it would affect him. There is no way at this stage of his life and career after all these years fighting above 140 that he will make the JrWW limit and be at his best.

True ...... they just don't get it.

First of all I'm 100% Pac can make 140 safely and easily. WHY? That's a good question. You see Pac consumes unusually high calories to maintain his already low weight during his training fighting at welterweight. Consuming normal calorie intake during his training, the 140 will come to him naturally.
Anyone else think he just wants to add another KO to his resume (finally) and the only way is to go back down to 140 where he had his greatest KO with Ricky Hatton?
Well, that, and there isn't much for him in welterweight aside from Mayweather and the Marquez/Alvarado winner.
Just because you rehydrate to the WW limit doesn't necessarily mean that you are a WW. It doesn't work that way.
are people that ignorant? pac is a full fledged ww now and so is floyd. quit trying to make pac out to be some tiny little ww cause it took him couple years longer to grow into his body.

He's really REALLY lean. It'd be hard for both Mayweather and him to make it. I could see em at 140...maybe not as strong looking but possible at their age. 135? Dont see it. At all for Pac. Dude adds a few pounds inbetween fights no way he makes 135 now. Pac isnt that small. Hes a natural 147, as is Floyd... The problem is the dudes cutting 10-15 pounds n s hit. If the weight classes were further spread apart theyd fight at the weights they are now where they are at their most comfortable and powerful.
Arum really sold the myth of pac being a midgit
what was his fight night weights at 126-135? pac was literally rehydrating up to ww at those weights......fact.
