I'm picking king kong, he's in great shape and can box, being leaner I think will help him last into the late rounds with something left, but his best chance is in the early rounds, box smart, try to steal a couple of rounds and catch a desperate wilder coming in. If it goes the distance, there's no way wilder loses, see the Fury fiight.
If YOU class that as "inside"..... then god and others help you, and your small brain.
nine (9) uppercuts, big brain. Who would like to get hit by that?
I have always been critical of Wilder's boxing ability, even harsh and disparaging towards him, caught up in my own bias...... I now see the method to his boxing and how ingeniously he has been managed.
Wilder is good and manages to get KO's and wins against either over-matched, or slow, straight-up fighters who try to box him from the outside.
I am a Fury fan and spent the whole fight against Wilder screaming at him to go inside on this guy, pressure him, lean on him etc He did outbox him but got caught twice and gave Wilder the draw in his backyard, which was always going to happen. OK, it wasn't the best Fury and took him 4 rounds to shake the rust off, but Wilder got his two KD's which is fair.
Why do people who fight Wilder stay in the danger zone and never make sudden and explosive moves on him? pressure him inside? Fury didn't do it because he was not 100% and tried to beat him at his own game, got caught twice and gave Wilder the draw..... Ortiz, Spzilka .... they all end up the same - crumpled on the floor!
I might be laughed at in the comments to this particular comment, but I have never seen any one put it on Wilder and pressure him, take away his range and punch and drag him into a dogfight...... Chisora or Wallin or Povetkin style.... someone who comes forward and just tries to land bombs........
I need to see Wilder in against an opponent who will pressure him, stay on his chest and take away his distance.... put it on him, is fast, explosive..... it is the only way to beat him other than Fury outboxing him and dodging his punch for 12 rounds (which no one would put money on including myself).
Ortiz was absolute Dogshiat in there... do not be fooled by the scorecards which makes him out to have done well.... Wallin did better in losing rounds than Ortiz did winning them..... slow as treacle, both hands and feet.... no pressure at all..... just pitty-pat boxing and let Wilder box comfortable for 6 rounds until Wilder landed a nuke on his dome lol
On your own sig there's a clip of Wilder fighting inside, do you think anybody wants any piece of that?
He was up 4-2 and 5-1 in the cards, there's a reason why no one other than Wilder and AJ in a short notice gave him a chance. I think its time for him to retire, we'd never know how good or bad he was, in my opinion other than Wilder crazy power, only carzy Fury beats him, I'd take him against any other heavyweight, including AJ, today.
There was no inside-fighting in this fight.
Uppercuts can be thrown from the outside as the opponent is coming in distance.
Did you really think that would school me? finding compubox stats and the amount of uppercuts Wilder threw? hahahahahaha
YDKSAB
Who mentioned compubox? There are nine (9) uppercuts in that clip, by the way, in the first fight Ortiz was ko'd with an uppercut in the inside.
Easy in house fight, Danny would have been a better test. Lipinets is an easy fight too. Ugas beat Bud in the amateurs and even if i dont think he stands a chance now, he'd come to fight and neither Bud or Bob are very fond of risks.
Should be a great fight, Gvozdyk is in my opinion the superior fighter but Beterbiev can finish the fight at any moment with his heavy hands, as I think that the better boxer most of the times beats the puncher I'll go with Gvozdyk.
Otrocubiche Gvozdyk dec wide.
He was the best and everybody wanted to see him lose, that paired with great marketing gave him great numbers. Having his fights on the two big mexican holidays, assured great gates too.

Hart dec wide
Munguia ko early.
Smith is a tough guy, Bivol couldn't ko him so I think Hart will outbox, outhustle and outwork him but won't be able to lo him.
Munguia didn't look good with Hogan, that's why they put him with allotey and now with spike, hopefully he's learned a few tricks with terrible, I like the way he throws double and triple hooks up and down, with a better defense he'd be on top for a few years.

Fortuna ko late
Berchelt ko mid x2
Alvarez/Krusher draw
I'm going by Canelo/GGG, Krusher will most likely outbox Canelo for the first half of the match and Canelo hasn't ko'd any legit boxer at 160 or 168, it's hard to see him dropping a 175 easily. Unless Krusher takes him down several times he won't get a decision, so Canelo will be gifted a draw.

going for broke with Gamboa, another year that my fellow cubans have had rough outings when stepping up, only Ugas did his part, only to get robbed vs Porter.
Gamboa ko early X3
Jack ko late
the only chance i see for Gamboa is an early outburst that would hurt Tank, the longer it goes Tank will adapt and probably start timing those lead up hooks from Gamboa and put him to sleep.
I think his only chance is to get Tank with a lucky shot in the early rounds, he doesn't have the hand speed or reflexes that made him good years ago, I hope he goes all out and makes it entertaining for a few rounds and gets another shot at a good paycheck, sucks because he could have made a ton of money on his prime but he was derailed by his own decisions, the cuban school of boxing business has a worst record than the cuban boxers on prime time.
Ali, no doubt. Floyd was a gym rat, really devoted to boxing, whether you like him or not you cannot take Floyd's dedication to being the best with what he had.
it would have been a hell of a fight, if Gamboa could hurt Loma early he would have done him in, but even when he was young and had those extraordinary reflexes, he wasn't that disciplined and tried to make it a street fight whenever he got hit, I think Loma would wait for his opening and made him pay, Loma late tko or wide decision.
It must have been a tear in the tendon, with a completely ruptured one he wouldn't be able to walk, big heart regardless and it adds more shyt to Tank's performance.
