Bob more willing to cash out, but now there's the network rivalry.
HBO would kill somebody if they lose Pac.
Pac would need a few more good fights, but it's slim pickings at WW and who's available for him as well as fighting twice a year.
arum has mentioned a HBO/Showtime PPV recently like they did for Tyson vs Lewis regarding the network rivalry...doubt anything happens though
floydiots - even if it's the biggest money fight out there, floyd doesn't need to fight pac, he beats him anyway.
what does this thread have to do with floyd? annoying
Is that all you do? Lol
Sucks there's no undercard though OP but theres a good one this saturday on the Donaire-Vic card: Vanes-Andrade, Garcia-Martinez
Vic-donaire is on the undercard, Garcia Martinez the main event
The Corner denied ever throwing the towel, asked Foreman if he wished to continue, Foreman said yes, kicked everyone outta that damn ring, and let it continue, he beasted that moment and took control.
I told him, ‘I didn’t throw that towel in there to undermine your authority. I threw that towel in there to get your attention, so that you would either evaluate it and stop it, disqualify us or whatever the case may be,’ ” Grier said. “I had informed the officials, and there were three of them in my corner, that I wanted the fight stopped. Then one of the officials attempted to try and get Mercante’s attention. They could not do it. Then I said to the official, ‘I’m going to throw the towel in.’ He said, ‘Go ahead.’ So I threw it in.
“I just don’t understand why it was such a big deal. Was it an ego thing? Did feel as though I was taking his authority away? You can’t do that. You can’t do that to a corner. A corner knows what’s going on. What if that last hook went to Yuri’s temple? We’d all be talking about a different story this morning, because Yuri might be in a coma. This is ridiculous. This never should’ve gone that far.”
Yes he will also i think he did a real good job for the cotto-judah and also with foreman
you think he did a good job in the foreman fight? what were you watching at the end. he let a guy with one leg keep fighting when his corner stopped the fight to save him
The Corner denied ever throwing the towel, asked Foreman if he wished to continue, Foreman said yes, kicked everyone outta that damn ring, and let it continue, he beasted that moment and took control.
i remember the corner trying to tell him that it was them...and even if that is the case, why let a fighter on one leg keep taking a beating. he has no power so there goes the "punchers chance" and cotto was dominating. "i dont want you to lose like that" isnt a good excuse. isnt it a refs job to protect the fighters
In all seriousness, it was a little bit of both. Moorer's chin was never much and Foreman is one of, if not the hardest hitting heavyweight in history (even while past it). He just needed those two shots (which didn't even look full power) to get Moorer out of there.
nice assesment on your part..thanks
wasn't this posted on boxingscene LAST WEEK and Martinez and Mitchell already turned it down.
boxingscene reported TODAY that maritnez wasnt interested after saying he was the frontrunner yesterday
if Steroidgio Martinez stopped taking PEDs and fought legitimate opposition he would be 0-142.
if you would f-ucking leave these boards we would all win
No prob. And btw i'd post this in the history section here you'll more than likely get more views and comments. They are too into Mayweather and Ortiz to think about anything else in this forum.
true, ill keep that in mind. but true boxing fans that actually wanna talk boxing and dont have their head up their ass such as urself will comment
BUM ON BUM VIOLENCE is what i like to call it and what it actually is.
but let's keep the topic on Jose. i think Jose will step up competition soon enough. no reason to rush it when people like Steroidgio Martinez are fighting even worse competition.
"but lets keep the topic on jose" yet you were the one that brought oscar
And the middleweight champion into this...and a sentence later you bring him up again...haha

Antonio DeMarco vs Jorge Linares
Danny Garcia vs Kendall Holt
Paul Malignaggi vs Orlando Lora
thanks bro
So hes gonna fight another guy who is closer to 40 than 30.
Sergio will be 37 by the time this is supposed to happen, according to this thread starter.
Not surprised. Floyd likes fighting these older and out of prime opponents.
dont ****ing act like hes out of his prime, and hes to old, we all know he story, so leave that bs out
I had never seen this. Pretty cool. Ali is a legend. They should do one like this edited but with Pacquiao and Ali. The greatest two fighters of all time. That would be so awesome. Gives me chills thinking about it.
Thanks for sharing bro.
lame.........
HI everyone -
Going to Cotto/Margarito II at Madison Square Garden. Will be my first fight. I know its a ppv so I was wondering if I am allowed to bring a digital camera? What about a small video camera (Flip)? Also, do the sell official t-shirts for the event/individual fighters? Last, the ticket says 7pm. I am planning to watch every undercard and get there at 7, but doy ou know when the main event is (approx)?
THANKS. Even if you arent going to this fight you might know a lot of the answers
like the other poster said you can bring cams, and idk but i went to cotto-mosley at msg and took a video cam.
and ur just gonna watch the tv undercard fights, or everything?
ill be there too :D
So he was on a Spanish (from Spain) radio show just now and he mentioned he's starting his own promotional firm with his manager (Sampson Lewkowicz). He also said there's going to be a movie (or documentary?) about him.
Once again he reaffirms the negotiations with Mayweather are very advanced and concrete. He says he just has to wait one more week, but he's extremely sure the fight is going to be made.
this makes a lot of sense because sergio and co said they would have big news 15 days after the fight and roger said they would have no problem fighting sergio at 154
this is the link but bs have blocked it http://www.***************.com/profiles/blogs/sergio-martinez-starts-own-promotional-company-and-floyd-negotiat
can any one get a audio of the interview
someone already made a thread, and has a link to the interview, with audio
K-9 is a great guy, very humble and personable. I wrote up an article on him, if you look in my threads started history you will find it. I met Andy when he first came to Kronk, that was a good few years ago. Haven't seen him since.
I haven't been down there in a couple of years since I had my stroke. I'm not sure if it is even open anymore. But if you walked in there to train you'd better be ready to fight. All of those guys, even the beginning amatuers fight really hard. It's not your every day sparring. You would have to pay the rec center membership and then you could go down there. But know this, the first day they will throw you in to fight against another young and hungry fighter who will most likely kick your a$$. If you show up the next day after your beating they will begin to work with you. It's not a place for a casual boxer to enter. It's not a boxing club to say, it's a fighting gym and if you step in there you'd better be ready to go to war.......Rockin':boxing:
ive heard alot of great things about k-9, pretty sick that you know him, how was andy?
i would love to go to a gym like kronk, ive been training for a couple of yrs and gonna start amateur pretty soon
Any Hopkins fight degenerates to fouls and acting, only his trinidad fight was worth watching although I've seen many of them. Jones and Hopkins was pretty bad, and Hopkins-Calzaghe was only watchable because of Calzaghe.
hopkins-calzaghe wasnt ppv
