only notable fighter i see is kell brook...but this dude has to be the worst boxer ever...oh ****...he died last year...RIP...i can't help but to think it had something to do with head trauma...
edit: well apparently he committed suicide...seems like an interesting story about this guy...
wow thats a hell of a lot of losing but there is also an incredible number of realy good british fighters on there, some he even faced numerous times, takes alot of heart to keep getting back in that ring knowing you will lose, but at least the guy made a living doing somthing he enjoyed but sad to see he had to end his life, must be tough on the mind and soul living the way he did.
if Steroidgio Martinez stopped taking PEDs and fought legitimate opposition he would be 0-142.
Amazing, this thread is so far removed from Sergio and yet you still feel the urge to talk about him. I understand you dislike him but i dislike Nazi's, i dont feel the urge to mention them everytime i post something.
ps, heres another

These types of fighters are needed boxing. I remember reading a boxing article a while ago on why Journeymen are important for the sport. They don't go in there to win, they go in there to survive and avoid getting knocked out. These journeymen aren't fools by any means, they've crafted a way to survive, but they do enjoy boxing - even if they aren't going to win.
i think i read that same article. ring magazine right ??
if you would f-ucking leave these boards we would all win
Haha! The guy is absolutely obsessed with ''steroidgio''
Sergio must of took his missus or something.
i see what you mean...taking a closer look at the list...i see some more names i overlooked...i see he fought darren barker as well...
And he did, fought Michael Jennings, Anthony Small & a few others as well, quite a few that was in a recent Prizefighter tournament. According to Boxrec he commited suicide at just 31 :(

A lot of those guys have go on to become Commonwealth/European/World champions. I think he was a guy that Frank Warren used to pad his fighters records with.
But fair play to the guy, he had a lot of fights & against some decent pros.
Kel Brook, Vassell, Ricky Burns, Nathan Cleverly, Tony Doherty, Ross Minter, Lenny Daws, Gavin Rees, John Murray, Nigel Wright etc etc
He was in with the who's who of British boxing.

Peter Buckley had 300 fights, 256 losses, hadn't won a fight for the last 5 years of his career up until his 300th which he did win and retired on.
Worth noting that he was never dropped, not once.
