Totally agree. I thought it was the best fight on the undercard of the undercard. Soto is still a beast. I always wished that Soto and Pac fought when they were around the same weight class. I always thought that Soto would of gave Pac problems. Pac never avenged his brothers defeat to Humberto. Oh well guess we'll never know, but Congrats on the victory champ.
Although they are not in their primes anymore, I would still enjoy watching this fight. At the end of the day, PBF and PAC are still the highest ranked WW on the P4P list and that still should set a good stage for the fight. With that being said, only if PAC gets through Algeiri!
Yeah...who gives a **** about numbers. 350k buys is still alot in my opinion. MMA would be lucky if they could hit those numbers. At the end of the day, who really cares! Im not getting a cut!
I also felt the same, but styles make fights. His last fight against soto was nothing like this, he was throwing with conviction in that fight and was boxing. He looked a little to gun shy for my liking and left a bad taste in my mouth. He's on the first ever prime time boxing in 30 years and didnt leave his heart in the ring like the ghost did. Its either he threw it or broner was just bad match up for him....
Styles make fights and I think Pac would slice Maidana up. I feel Pac's lateral movement and punching combinations would put Maidana in a whole lot of trouble, especially down the stretch. I dont think Maidana would knockout Pac the way Marquez did because he is way more cautious now. Chino is tailor made for Pac and I could inly see a late round tko.
Mine would have to be evander "the real deal" holyfield. His win over gearge foreman sealed the deal for me. It reminded me of david and goliath. Evander's heart was what made me watch him all the time!
Everybody knows that styles make fights. So this wasnt a preview of a pac/may fight. And I think Ortiz just gave up mentally in rnd 3 and 4. **** he quit in the maidana fight! Ortiz made alot of mistakes in those 4 ends and Floyd capitalized on that. So now what? Is Floyd going to fight pac? Who knows......just man up Floyd and throw down mah nig!
The Margarito ghost wasn't put to bed in that fight, because Clottey isn't as good as Margarito. He may be more skilled, but he takes his foot off the gas. The only thing that saved Cotto in that fight was Clottey's lack of killer instinct. Cotto would've needed knee pads against a more aggressive fighter.
Thank you someone who sees it the way I did
After watching the Diaz vs JMM fight I cant see how he can beat PBF. He took way to much damage and was even rattled by Diaz who is a certified pillow fisted. Cant help but think PBF wont be able to land those same shot and more with more power. His best chance is to hope that PBF will push and pressure him constally and he can counter him to a decision.
he also got rocked by pac and came back to make a draw....marquez ftw!! mayweather chose the wrong tune up fighter!...word!!!
For me to put Pac top 5 ATG. He would have to beat Floyd, Clottey, Berto, Collazo, Shane @147, Martinez, Dzinziruk, Angulo, Cintron, Spinks P-Will, Foreman @ 154 for me to consider him top 5.
U forgot the klitschko brothers too!!.........gawd u got to be kidding me!!......:damnit:
Floyd won a boring decision over Baldomir without hurting him
Floyd fought a close decision win with DLH, many thought Oscar won
Floyd went into the late rounds and stopped Hatton
Pacquiao destroyed Diaz
Pacquiao destroyed De La Hoya, humiliating and retiring him
Pacquiao quickly destroyed Hatton, in rounds 1 and 2.
Pacquiao > Mayweather
i agree!:boxing:
Yep ,,, Mosley said Cotto is deceivingly fast , which the same as what you said :)
But that mosley fight was when cotto was at his prime. I think the margarito fight took a lot out of him. He looked sluggish in the clottey fight. Just my 2 cents.
I didn't feel like reading over 32 pages of this ****. But what Manny has done in the sport of boxing. He deserves the right to fight Floyd. What makes Ortiz. Cotto. Alvarez. Guerrero much more deserving? Heck Bradley even deserves a shot over khan. Its plain to see that tmt is ducking Manny and Bradley. Khan doesn't have the cRedentials like Pac and Bradley do. Stop the ducking and give the fans what they want see. Best vs the best!
Did he take a random blood test for it?
All I know is. Why does pac have to prove his innocense because accusations by the mayweathers were made with no proof whatso ever. Fuc the mayweathers!
and you're expertise on boxing comes from where? are you or did you used to be a boxer, trainer, journalist, commentor?
nothing he says is false, but the situation is more nuanced than floyd makes it.
- pac gets credit for dlh because pac was a huge underdog to dlh, while floyd doesn't get as much credit for dlh because floyd was the favorite
- floyd says hatton was finished after floyd/hatton, AND YET, he still believes the fight would be different if hatton listened to floyd sr... floyd contradicting floyd
- floyd also forgot to mention that he beat hatton at 147 lbs, a weight division hatton looked very average and beatable, while pac beat hatton at 140 lbs, where hatton was the recognized lineal champ.
- who's the bigger guy? the answer is simple... who among hatton, floyd, pac, and jmm has been campaigning successfully at WW the longest?
hatton had a stint but was chased back down to 140 lbs. the highest pac officially weighed was 142 lbs for one 147 lbs fight. jmm has never fought above 135 lbs.
so obviously floyd is the biggest guy out of those 4.
this is true, but all of a sudden floyd wants to call shots like dlh and make all kinds of demands??? so is floyd the anti-dlh or the 2nd coming of dlh?
I though hatton lost to collazo. floyd beat hatton at a weight division in which hatton was not his best. I still give him credit for beating hatton and floyd would've beaten him at 140 lbs regardless.
since everybody on NSB are all newbs maybe you should stop posting here all together and find a new forum to post your rants. that would be a big help to everybody.
pac's resume speaks for itself
- 1 of 2 to have 6 titles in 6 different divisions
- only person to have 4 lineal titles
- beat morales 2x
- beat jmm 2x
- beat mab 2x
- only person to KO morales
- only person to knockdown jmm 4x
- 1 of 2 to stop mab
- 1 of 2 to stop DLH
- 1 of 2 to stop Hatton
- beat DLH worst than Floyd
- KOed Hatton faster than Floyd
- fought from 106 lbs all the way to 147 (actually 142) lbs
LINK OR IT NEVER HAPPENED!!!
blah blah blah...
hahahaha....:werd:
Crazy how people give Floyd a hard time for not having Lara as an option but give canelo a pass for picking angulo over Lara who whopped on angulo. Is OK for canelo to pick an opponent to sell PPV but it is the worst thing ever when Floyd does it
Nobody gives a fuq about the canelo/ angulo fight. Lara is a much more difficult opponent than Angulo. Plus Canelo is coming off his first loss. So Angulo would be the more logical pick over Lara. Floyd needs to fight Manny Pacquiao and stop trying to amp up khan or maidana as worthy opponents because i feel he'd dominate both of them. I feel Pacman, even though out of his prime, still has a realistic chance of upsetting Floyd Mayweather. Make it happen PBF!!!
Originally watching it I scored the fight 115-113 for Maidana, but after re-watching it, I scored 115-113 for Mayweather. With all the pressure that Maidana was putting, I didn't see him land anything clean. I thought Chino was the aggressor and winning the majority of the rounds for the first half of the fight, but Mayweather took over most of the second half. Styles make fight and with chino being a b-level fighter, he had Floyd worried about losing his "0".
Yo you guys are crazy! Manny fought a great fight. Im going to tell you how elite he is. This is an out of his prime Pac that beat a prime TB. He's more cautious because he doesnt want to experience another KO. Although they're were some slow rounds, it was still an all out action fight. It was a much closer fight than the first fight, however I seen Tim get hit more clearly in this fight. Tim has improved his game defeating Prov and JMM but styles make fight and PAC's power through his game off.PAC made Time look sloppy. Considering PAC just came off a brutal KO, he just defeated #3 P4P! Quote Kellerman " I believe Manny is the more talented fight!" Manny beat this guy twice already on his decline.
Floyd said very clear that if they want to stop a pac/may fight, then manny would have to go under mayweather promotions and "work" things out. He pretty much said that if he is going to fight pac, he wants all the money for it to happen but teM pac is not that stupid to fork over the negotiations to favor Floyd. Also, why is this khan fight in the works? Out of all the fighters, I believe pac deserves it the most. Floyd just feels threatened at the fact that Manny is the only one out there who could give him problems. Not glass chinned khan......
Ok, there we have it... so Manny Pacquiao is being smart by not taking the tests and getting exposed.
Cotto was stupid enough to shrink himself (DLH example) and get exposed.
Yeah because cotto was sooooo weight drained. Please!!! Pacquiao's style would've exposed cotto whether he came in at 145 or 147. It wasn't a good style match up for miguel. He gassws out while manny gets better later in the rounds.
i hate to say it.. BUT, floyd is right!
Pac is over hyped, Oscar was old and way out of where he should be at weight. All the hype that Pac is getting is because he beat Oscar. if the fight with Oscar would never happen Pac would be shit...fightinig lightweights.
didnt pac knock out hatton, who was undefeated at his best weight?!? how many greats pac got to go through for you to give him credit? keep on thinkin pac's over-hyped come pbf vs pacman, you'll be disappointed :fing26:
An actual fact, that can indeed be proven without a doubt, Floyd fought a younger Ricky Hatton, and a younger Oscar De La Hoya. Straight facts.
another straight fact: pacman also beat a younger marquez and he's not gettin' any younger
Is Alvarado for real?
Totally agreed! It would be a rough fight but I see JMM win via UD. I could see JMM getting knocked down, but he always gets back up. I see Siberian Rocky's face getting swolled to a pulp. Bottom line, Dynamita would take the fight...
