Lots of talk going on around here. Time to put it all to public poll.
Pick the option you think best describes the reason why Manny is more interested in fighting Cotto next, rather than Floyd.
why do you think Pac wont fight Floyd yet? lmao, you guys all need to CHILL. Wait till after the cotto/clottey fight and the marquez/floyd fight. I promise you all floyd fights pacman.
I'm just giving it back to Manny's huggers. :)
I'm not really much of a Floyd fan.
I respect the hell out of him, but I'm not big on him.
Better yet, why PBF refuses to make business dealings with BoB Arum???
PAC vs. PBF will not happen cause PBF doesn't want to deal with BOB ARUM, period. How many times must PBF say the same thing over and over again, and again... ???? :dunno:

don't be a douchebag, this is all negotiation tactics to get floyd to lower his purse demands.

If Cotto loses to Clottey and Floyd beats JMM, the only option is Shane and that probably isn't happening because Shane doesn't want to kill his body to make the lower weight. So that leaves us with Floyd unless they get a fighter at 140 which is possible. They can make Floyd wait until next year. It won't hurt them one bit because Floyd will be turning 33 and Floyd will most likely fight someone else in-between because he needs to stay active for that Money (that is rumored he may owe). So if Floyd has to face Shane, Shane can take something more out of him even if Floyd manages to win. Smart move.
its Arum that wants Pac to fight cotto. he promotes both fighters so thats more money for him. if Arum promoted Mayweather he would be pushing for a Pac/PBF fight
Arum was planning on a future fight with Floyd and Cotto when he had both under his control. As soon as Floyd left, only Mr. Plaster was offered. And the big Money for that fight didn't come until Arum heard Floyd and Oscar were in talks. That's how Arum works.
It's really a shame because it seems Pac wants to fight Floyd and whoever else. But it's up to Pac to take a stand.
It is all just talk anyway. Floyd has to get by JMM and has to put on a good showing.
No need to fuss over this. Cotto still gotta beat Clottey for this to become worth talkin about. And even if he does, I'm sure Mr boat buyer v Pac will go down. Arum is a str8 jackass if he puts lil Pac in there wit Cotto, cuz dude ain't gonna go down in weight.
LOL at the Floyd huggies. Suddenly, the man that was supposed to be too big for Floyd is an easy out for Manny.
Manny has already shit on Floyd's resume, now he's taking on fighters Floyd wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.
well its been reported that PBF wants the bigger purse if he fights Manny and Roach and Arum both claim Manny should get the bigger purse so dont be shocked to hear that from PBF as his reasoning why he wont fight manny.
Manny deserves the bigger purse he gives the fans excitement unlike BORING-SLOPKING who bores his fans to death to a whorendous 12 round decision that everyone thanks jesus has finally arrived!
At the end of the day the "Numbers" are determined by the acutal "NUMBERS" that you can sell. PPV numbers. They can match up the Hatton and Oscar fights as well as the non-Hatton and Oscar fights.
They'll lower the weight for Floyd to come down to as well.

Bad Style Match-up; simple.
However, why not take a chance?
Floyd isn't the same young fighter that was fighting at 130-140 where I thought he was fighting at his best. Over the years at 147, he seemed to decline both Mentally and Physically.
It would be a great time to get to Floyd now given that he retired because the joy was gone and his body was breaking down. Add 1 1/2+ years of inactivity, it's worth the risk.
First, Floyd has to get by JMM.
I think Freddie will sit back and watch how Floyd looks fighting JMM. If he sees there is a big slip in Floyd, I think he may take the fight. Even if Floyd wins or even by KO, there can be still enough of a slip that Freddie takes the fight.
I think to many people just look at the results of the "W" and still think so and so is still at their best...but it doesn't work like that. Take Hopkins for example: He has declined for a long time now but he is so good that he can keep winning. However, certain styles can squeak out wins against him because of his age and declined athleticism and punch-out-put. Like Taylor and Calzaghe (although some will say Hopkins beat him). I say in both the Taylor and Calzaghe fights, age played more of a role against Hopkins than anything.
Right now, they can test Floyd's stamina given where he is at in his career. They can test his heart to see how high it is given everything that has happened. Does he still want to be a fighter; can he gut it out like he used to down in the lower weight divisions (which was years ago).
If you lose, you lose to Floyd Mayweather Jr; not that big of a deal...although Roach and Arum claiming Pac is the greatest of his generation and hinting on all time, may take a hit.
But if you win, you can say you beat Floyd Mayweather Jr...and argue he was still at his best because most will believe that because he still has his "O."
Is it because PAC is staying busy and not waiting until after the winner of PBF and JMM?
I think it's awesome that they have set this up this way.
Winner of Cotto-Pacquiao Vs. winner of PBF Vs. JMM.
