Pac is too good at 147 and if the fight with Mayweather doesn't happen then there is no reason why that should be the best division. I also reckon 147 doesn't have the depth as the other two
Could someone explain to me why Pavliks corner didn't use vaseline or those cotton buds or whatever they are like most trainers use? It was a crap job by them anyways
Thanks in advance
guys the p4p 1# title is not some official belt that is lineal. Kingship doesnt get transferred that way. Shane Mosley was p4p 1# in 2000 & 2001. 2002 came around & he gets beat by forrest. Did forrest become p4p 1#? No. Roy Jones jr. was 1# up until tarver ko'd him. Did tarver become p4p 1#? No. Its not a official belt that is lineal. That's not how kingship gets transferred.
There's a reason why they call it p4p meaning pound for pound. To compare & rank fighters who are in different divisions that wont be able to fight each other. The beauty of manny vs floyd is that both fighters that are vying for the top sport & they happen to be in the same division with manny moving to welterweight fairly recently.
I my opinion, even if floyd wins vs mosley the consensus will still be pac 1# with floyd solidly at 2#. If they dont fight each other, the caliber of fighters they fight & how they win will decide the kingship.
So to answer the question, if/when floyd beats shane pac man is still king when that moment arrives.
thank you and well said
I am surprised no one has Nonito Donaire on here, quality little fighter with good wins on his resume, i would agree with your origional list but replace Williams for Donaire because Williams needs to dominate one division and getting a few belts b4 being up there p4p wise
donaire should be ahead of pac
Light Welterweight is the best and Super Middleweight second
What makes these two division the best is that there is so many fighters there that can be number 1 and the match ups we want to see are happening
1. Manny Pacquaio
2. Floyd Mayweather
3. Shane Mosley
4. Juan Manual Marquez
5. Paul Williams
6. Wladamir Klitshcko
7. Sergio Martinez
8. Hozumi Hasegawa
I Don't know about the last two. If Bernard Is still fighting shouldn't he be around the top 5 though? I try to make my list in favor to all you and myself the best I can.
It's a farce, people say that it's a shit division but so was Tysons time, just cos he is not exciting and is Russian doesn't mean he should be left out of the pound for pound rankings
Sorry but I can't see any other reason why he isn't on there
Oh, noes, what am I going to do now?
You haye nuthuggers are pathetic, as soon as someone gets you out of arguments (something that is easily accomplished), you start with the name calling and red k
Haye = ducker fraud.
greek k given back dont worry :P
This has already been a FANTASTIC boxing year. And what if one of the Klit's lost, man we'd be in for some action again!
It's only getting better too I cannot wait for the Montiel fight, been a crazy month so far
Would be a great fight, I wouldn't know who to pick for this actually
This match up would be better then fighting the K brothers, please make Haye v Adamek happen
Polish supporters are ultras thats why and they have a good history of supporting :)
If the Americans actually chanted for Arreola in stead of making noise when he was throwing punches the fight could have been much closer
STFU you racist moron. That's 100% bullshit. Stop making weak excuses.
Soviet fighters weren't allowed to turn pro until the 1990s because of the cold war.
Now Soviets are allowed to turn pro and they're ALREADY DOMINATING.
AND there are TONS of potential Eastern European Heavyweight Boxers are doing Combat Sambo, MMA, Kickboxing, Hockey, Olympic Wrestling, Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Worlds Strongest Man Competitions, etc.
America isn't the only country on the planet that has other sports you racist moron.
Eastern European heavyweights are superior.
nicely said
dont forget eastern europeans also are strong in basketball and for lower divisions everyone turns to football, tennis and hanball so this silly excuse by the americans is so ****ing stupid
look what happened in tennis the same thing will happen in boxing the sport will slowly deteriorate in america and the media hype around the sport will die with it
what the **** does that have to do with anything... it's not an excuse it's a real reason just like another post said about south america, how come they're not producing many lower class fighters? cause they're all playing soccer... if you guys dont think these other sports are a factor then your all idiots
the thing is both sports have been going on for ages and the americans used to dominate boxing for so long, you cant just bring up that excuse now
its simple there isn't any fighters in the heavy weight division because the europeans are too good, accept it
something must be said about his trainers or something though, it is very annoying seeing vic fight in recent times especially after the mijares fight where he showed us he can defend and throw in combos
what happened against agbeko? he said himself he screwed up too, bloody mystery this
love the bloke but he upsets me sometimes
