When Jermain goes to the bathroom and cranks one out the little droplets of sperm that hit his porcelain sink are worth $600, $700. Athletes and pseudo celebrities can afford to sit ringside because of how much respect our culture gives them.
This makes no sense.
It is five weeks before the fight with Solis and he isn;t even in LA yet to begin his training for the fight. He is either very confident of his abilities or is really distracted.
I hope that it is the former.
They are going to be airing them directly after NEW episodes of the Sopranos and Entourage in order to drive the most viewers. The idea of piggy backing them onto 2 of their flagship shows is truly going to push the PPV buys.
It is better for him to move up but there is no way to predict how he is going to handle the jump until he actually steps into the ring with a true Welter.
I swing back and forth in my opinion and I am really intrigued by the idea.
^Vivian Harris? Last time I saw him Maussa was whooping him. Is Steward still his trainer?
No he has moved on and is now being trained by Lennox Blackmoore.
Byrd is looking for an opponent for an April date on FNF.
This would be a good matchup for both of them. If Byrd wins he gets back on the map and if Chambers pulls off the upset his name gets thrown in there with some of the top contenders.
He cant get a top 20 guy to fight him. He is to big a risk for little reward. He makes money, but not when he is fighting outside on NY and it seems that it will be a while before he gets back there.
But if he stays busy the WBC will put him in the top twenty soon. He is currently at 29.
MMA is going to die when the fighter realize how much money the Exec are making and that they are making nothing.
Never has an MMA fighter made over a million bucks for a fight, yet the CEO's of these companys are bringing in the cash hand over fist.
When the backlash from this begins to happen you will see a lot of infighting among the top names in the sport and the level of fights will die off.
If there is gonna be anyone, Who can beat Mayweather its De La Hoya, And he could be the one to show the way on how to beat Mayweather.
If there is going to be anyone who can beat PBF its Mosley. He is just as fast and unlike Judah can sustain for 12 rounds
I have an interview with Mesi on Monday for a different site. He is PR training, so I think that he might be in talks for this bout.
He did say that he wanted another ten rounder before stepping up, but I will ask him on Monday.
I think that Paulie punches are like getting hit with a box of Kleenex. He is a soft puncher. I don't like his style at all he hits than runs he has speed but that's about it. They say that speed=power no I don't think so you have to have speed and have your feet well grounded to put all your weight in to your punches. I don't think that paulie ever puts his body weight in to his punches at all. Also if it was some one that knows how to cut the ring better than edner like Torres-->the one who fought Cotto,Hatton, Mosley, and that Greek guy that torres fought oh and that young guy that Ko Bravo I forgot his name but they would all kick paulie's ass.
Doubt it. :ugh:
I agree that Jow will win but it wont be as bad as the Lacy fight. The styles are much different and Manfredo is a lot faster than Lacy.
I still think that Lacy is better than Peter, but the styles that they fight will be different here.
Betting on Manfredo here is the smart money, he is listed as +1750 and there is little risk for your reward if he does pull off a miracle. I would take anyones action with those odds. For every 100 I put up you put up 1750.
I put 1000 against your 17,500. Any takers.
I recently interviewed Kelvin for this fight and he seems to have that hunger back.
Check out the interview

Why is it that so many people on this forum are wishing Morrison luck?
"best of luck to him" "I wish him all the best" "I hope he does well"
This for a guy that is a confessed steroid user, a confessed coke addict, a confessed wife beater, Etc, Etc.
But when it comes time to talk Mesi, the longest current undefeated HW, "he is a bum."?
I don;t get it. The guy is articulate, intelligent and very exciting. No he is not the greatest of all time or even this time, but against some of these HW out there he has some power and a good amature background and he is young, by HW standards.
He will get his license back in NY and be fighing on HBO before the end of the year.
I am a Mesi fan but I don't nut hug like the MILLIONS of others on these forums who think that their guy is unstopable.
Give the man a shot.
i know everybody is entitled to their own opinion but NOT ALL casual boxing fans know about frazier, liston, patterson and foreman.
You are not a boxing fan at all if you don't know who those guys are. Casual or not.
I was just wondering who's all going to the Showtimes fights today? Is everybody still hooking up?
I will be there but I am working it for another site.
the odds are not that lopsided. If a betting site is giving you those bogus odds then they might be scamming you with those odds. The odds are
PBD -170 to -180 depending on site
DLH +150 to +170 depending on site
or roughly 9/4for PBF
and 5/9 for DLH
No, these are prop bets. He has to win by Dec. ONLY for 17-5. Or KO Only. That is the difference. Those are right.
glen johnson makes annoying grunting sounds when he fights... I hope someone drops this idiot who grunts all the time... He grunts like hes tired when he throws but still throws.
It is official. The dumbest post off ALL TIME.:owned:
Since when does ABC have boxing again??
Since this fight. It will be the first in 7 years. I am really hoping for a GREAT fight. I don't think that it will be that interesting, but if it is a GREAT fight, we might begin to see more boxing on network TV.
My only hope is that there is an undercard that will help to entice fans into watching.
ABC no longer as a sports department and relies on ESPN for all of thier sports needs, therefor this will probobly be called by the Friday Night Fight guys.
The answer to this is simple.
Each sport has its own Olympic commitee, those separate commitees decide who will be allowed to compete, as far as professionals go.
The rest of the world determines this basically. For example, other counties started using pro athletes to compete in those sports LONG before the Americans decided to let thier Pros play.
