It will be good to see David Haye actually fight more than once a year, and fight a few contenders e.g. Povetkin, Arreola & Adamek - all fights he would most likely win and then fight Wlad.
His toughest fights have come against Morrales and Marquez.
From watching Mayweather vs Moseley, Pacquiao will knock Moseley out in the later rounds, as it looks like Moseley cannot competitively go the distant against an elite fighter anymore.
However, he will prove problematic in the earlier rounds and give Pacquiao something to think about, but Pacquiaos work rate and speed wins this fight.
I think as the fight goes on the physical advantages will take their toll on Adamek, as I don't believe he has the punching power to knock Vitali out, so his only route is decision.
He can win if he adapts the same tactics Haye used against Valuev, but then Vitali is levels above Valuev, so it's definitely going to be a difficult task for Adamek.
Vitali by late stoppage.
I would like to see Chisora win so Britain have another heavyweight champion, but it's highly unlikely.
Just watched Sky Sports interview with Chisora and he looks scared ****less. Out of his depth big time.
Khan vs Berto sounds interesting.
Khan vs Judah in March/April (Schaefer mentioned this)
Khan vs Bradley in July.
Khan vs Berto in November/December
Decent fights and would gain him tonnes of experience.
Yeah have to agree, I thought he was going to be jabbing all night long but I believe he wanted to prove a point in this fight that he can take a punch, which he did prove.
Martinez should concentrate on the middleweight division and unify it. Mayweather certainly won't fight him, that's for sure and Pacquiao won't fight him.
He could also move up to the super middleweight division in the next two years where there will definitely be huge fights there, but I can see that being a problem as Showtime has that division prity much to themselves and Martinez is loyal to HBO.
Martinez vs Pirog
Martinez vs Sturm
Martinez vs Ward
Martinez vs Bute
Martinez vs Dirrell
^^ All sound like decent fights.
Have to look past Martinez as he states, he only has three more fights left and then he is retiring.
The current crop of junior welterweights should do the job, as they move up in weight, and there is a lot of talent at featherweight and super middleweight.
Next stars: Khan, Ward, Dirrell, Alexander, Bradley, Juanma and Gamboa.
Andre Ward will be Pound For Pound the best fighter in the world in three years time. He will clear up the super six tournament, beat Lucian Bute to become undisputed Super Middleweight champion, and then may be move up in weight to take on the likes of Pascal & Dawson.
I don't think it's necessarily Khan, but his greedy management team.
You can already see the influence of his team with what happened to Alex Ariza, and in some sense Frank Warren. There are too many money grabbers whispering into Khans ear.
Agree with the tune up comment.
Cleverly, Brook and Macklin could all be fighting for world titles in their next respective bouts. Warrens next show should be even better!
I don't think these two guys will fight each other until there both at world level. There will be more money involved then and it would be much better for boxing if they do fight at world level. Nigel Benn vs Chris Eubank springs to mind!
WTF. Why does Haye have to fight Chagaev in May, I'm sure he could fight him in March, which would give him enough preparation for Wlad in early July. Then a potential fight with Vitali in late Septemer or early October.
Just doesn't make sense.
From what he said on 24/7 I think Pacquiao would be happy fighting the likes of Berto, Mosley or Marquez. These are all fights which will make him $15 million, and if he is happy with the money he has earned so far then he may not fight Mayweather.
However, I do believe the fight will happen because there is just too much money involved and Mayweather needs Pacquiao!
Let Mayweather fight the winner of Williams vs Martinez and Pacquiao fight Berto or Mosley. Then Pacquiao vs Mayweather in the autumn/winter.
We all get a decent year of boxing then!
Well with Wlad and Hayes respective fights they definitely won't fight before Hayes 31st, so the only option is Vitali, who Haye does not want to fight first.
It's all promotional bull**** anyway, Haye won't retire when their is so much money left to be made with a fight against Wlad in, maybe December.
He would struggle against Cotto and Pacquiao but maybe not so much with Mosley due to his age. He should try to unify the welterweight through beating Zaveck and Senchenko, I know these guys are not household names but Hernandez is not either, and after winning the WBA & IBF his stock would considerably rise. Beating these guys would lead to a showdown with Pacquiao, with the undisputed welterweight champion title at stake. He's only 27, so has plenty of time to earn the kind of money he thinks he should be earning now.
A good move by Kessler and the super-middleweight division on the whole.
Should Kessler win then a unification bout with Bute could be on the cards, with the winner facing the Super Six winner. Then the super-middleweight division will have a true undisputed champion!
If only boxing was this simple!
Im English, and Haye is starting to really annoy me now. He fights Audley Harrison and then takes a six month rest. WTF. He could have fought at least once between November 2010 and May 2011. Hope he fights Povetkin or at least someone with a decent ranking. Despair if he fights Rahman, Holyfield or Mormeck.
Marquez, Ortiz or Murray.
Imagine if Hatton come out of retirement though for one last payday! Not going to happen though, but would fill City of Manchester Stadium easy.
