British heavyweight legend Frank Bruno wants WBA champion David Haye to curb his trash talking. He thinks Haye is underestimating his next opponent, 2000 Olympic gold medal winner Audley Harrison. Haye vs. Harrison happens on November 13 in Manchester. Bruno thinks Haye is overdoing it in the trash talking department.
"I like David Haye, I like his style," Bruno told Sky Sports News. "I don't like the way he is rabbiting on about certain different things, but I am not his manager, his dad, or his guru. The way that he is jumping around saying certain things, I would like him to cool it down a little bit as it gives boxing a bad name."
Bruno is standing behind the big underdog, Harrison. He likes Harrison's size, strength and southpaw style.
"He is a good fighter," Bruno said of Haye. "But Audley Harrison, you have to look at the credibility of the guy. He is a southpaw, he is natural heavyweight and with that left hand he can connect. That sways my way, but as a natural heavyweight he is more underestimated than other people give him credit for. He has a good pedigree. I am going to go for Audley Harrison, but I hope the best man wins."
