Tribute to Cotto
As much as I like Cotto... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aR5Ahe6Z4r4 Pac Man fights at a much faster pace and can control the fight by his sheer volume and laser sharp precision... But if Cotto can land hard to the body... Its going to be definitely be worth the price of admission!

We have various nuthuggers and haters making threads about each fighter so here is a poll for those, and the impartial people to have their say and we can finally find out who would win, Money or Pacman??????????
I've gone for Pac as i think his speed would catch Floyd all night regardless of his defence.
I don't think an educated and unbiased conclusion can be made... We have to see how Pac looks against a true, in their prime, welterweight. To beat Floyd you need to make him miss - which no one has really ever done - and hit him hard... PBF landed EVERYTHING he threw against JMM. The weight gain and age for the LIGHT Weight Champ was defiantly a factor...
Can Pac do better...
Yes...
Can he add 1 to PBF's loss column? We will all have a better idea after Nov. 14th... Until then it is just your man vs. my man…
You’ve got to give Pac all the credit in the world – He fights up in talent and weight. PBF fights down… That can not be argued… One is an incredibly skilled tactician - the other a true warrior…
You think Mayweather jr would fight someone who could beat him? You best believe he isn't fighting Cotto if Pacquiao loses to Cotto.
He'll fight them... If he runs out of money again :) Seriously everyone wants to see PBF really get into a FIGHT one time while he is still on top of his game... Great talent... Hall of Fame, yes... But will I tell my (on the way) baby boy about him in the future?? As of right now I'll stick to tales of Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvelous Marvin Haggler, Thomas Hearns, Sugar Ray Robinson, Pipino Cuevas, Pac Man, Gatti and Ward...
Klitschkos... PHD's... The art of great boxing takes training, dedication and innate ability. The same principles can be applied to attaining a degree...
Do college educated athletes perform better than non college athletes? You'd have to look at the stats, but a college degree says that you have been certified competent in your chosen major by an organization... The man who has his hand raised at the end of each boxing match is validated in the same way… You could look at it like this…
You beat a nobody: High School degree
You beat a Journey Man: Jr. College Degree
You beat a Contender: Bachelors Degree
You beat a Champion: Congratulations you have just attained something that less than 1% of the world will ever attain – I’ll even call you Dr. Boxing.
I know a lot of idiots with college degrees and a lot of fighters who could have paid a just a little more attention while they were in school… What I am saying is a degree is a piece of paper saying you passed whatever standard for the school you graduated from – a championship belt is a trophy saying the same thing – it is what you do, with either, afterwards that is the important part.
Whatever you go after in life, go after it full throttle and degree or no degree you can make your place in the world.
Sure, he's entertaining OUTSIDE OF THE RING.
Which definitely helps get casual fans attention, but the problem I have with this is that Floyd Mayweather fights just do not deliver excitement.
I know that there are people who can appreciate a tactical approach to the sweet science, but the problem is that these aren't the casual fans. The casual fans want to see a fight!
This is the only problem I have with Floyd promoting fights as wars, battles, and extravaganzas, then he cautiously slips and shoulder rolls his way to boring decisions.
Give me excitement in the ring, and keep your circus. I love to see fighters talk less, and let their leather do the talking. Fighters like Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, and of course Pacquiao.
Preach on man...
Just like Rocky 3 im telling you......................PAC needs to train now with all the complications in location...................
Rocky III... Dude that is hilarious... It is legacy time for both fighters. If Pac wins he will be considered one of the best ever and whoever he fights next will be HUGE... If Cotto wins he'll be back to where he was before he fought Asphalt Hands... Mayweather won't fight him, maybe Williams if he can come back down or a Mosely rematch if Mosley can get Berto's belt...
Im just a dreamer, I know they are both like 40 but Id love to see Ward fight Kostya Tszyu in Gattis memory. Gatti wanted to fight him before. I know Tszyu is faster than Ward but Ward is strong and has a lot of heart. Anyone have any thoughts on what that WOULD turn out to be:boxing:
The only fight I want to see Ward in is if Mark Walberg or Christian Bale mess up the movie about him... Ward is a fantastic guy... The movie better be awesome or someone needs to go round 9 on somebody... I wish him the best...
So far I have been inspired by Marquez's work ethic and training regimin. It has Rocky Balboa written all over it. As I watch, I start to believe this guy is determined enough to have a legitimate shot. Watching Episode 2 was a lot of fun. Then, I get to the urine segment. I am now writing to HBO requesting that the next 2 weeks program's are titled 23 1/2, 7. Please leave out the time of day that he drinks his own urine. That is not inspiring, but rather disgusting. It is called waste for a reason. If you want vitamins and proteins, take supplements and drink protein shakes.
Yeah... Other then a psychological advantage (if there is one???)… Why not visit GNC and take a couple of extra vitamins or something...
This argument is easy, Floyd does have more talent but Pac is much more exciting to watch
If they were fighting the same night against other fighters I would be tuning in to watch Pac fight.
They are being contraversial to get attention when Pac gets attention with his fists.
Very true... Pac fights UP in competition... Floyd fights down... Great for his pocket book and undefeated record... But not for the fans and the sport of boxing…
Supplements shouldn’t be a big deal… Roids would be… You have got to remember that these guys have TONS of money and personal trainers and if they want to put weight on they can… It can work the other way too; but give me the keys to a GNC and about 3 months and I can throw on some muscle… Give me a personal trainer and make my job contingent on how in shape and ripped I am – then paint me Green and call me Mr. Natural Ferrigno!
I hope he’s not on anything illegal – I’ve about had it with baseball! If he is eating correctly and supplementing LEGALLY in the same fashion then more power to him!
(JMM I’ll buy you some more vitamins if you will stop with the ?urine therapy?!)
That is VERY true... Its going to be a war... When was the last time Real, Hall of Fame, CHAMPIONSHIP Speed was up against Real, Hall of Fame, CHAMPIONSHIP Power... In their prime??? (Rocky II doesn't count)
Hagler vs. Hearns maybe?
It's been too long... These two men are warriors... It's going to be memorable!
Nov. 14th is going to be the best fight in years...
I usually have NO problem picking fights... But I have no idea... I am too much of a fan for both..
Good problem to have!
I'm having a hard time believing that paul really walks around at 150.
Dude's like 6'1 or 6'2.
How is that even possible???
I'm 6'1 and I walk around between 185-200.
I can't imagine being 150.
I have seen Paul in person several times... In-between fight training... I would say he is fairly close to that weight... Maybe more towards 165 or 170. Negotiation tactic by the Punisher's side - Absolutely... But he stays in crazy shape :)
If Clottey can train hard enough to finish a fight, it should be fun... I thought he was on the path to winning against Cotto with the cut and all - he just never let his hands go. Mr. Defense better try throwing some punches after the 5th or so round because the Champ is going to be throwing all night...
