Sure, he's entertaining OUTSIDE OF THE RING. Which definitely helps get casual fans attention, but the problem I have with this is that Floyd Mayweather fights just do not deliver excitement. I know that there are people who can appreciate a tactical approach to the sweet science, but the problem is that these aren't the casual fans. The casual fans want to see a fight! This is the only problem I have with Floyd promoting fights as wars, battles, and extravaganzas, then he cautiously slips and shoulder rolls his way to boring decisions. Give me excitement in the ring, and keep your circus. I love to see fighters talk less, and let their leather do the talking. Fighters like Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, and of course Pacquiao. Preach on man...

i dont see how you guys say his fights are boring i could watch him all day he is a master in the ring. tbh the only fight that looked bad was the baldomir fight imo i love watching him throw straight rights and lead left hooks with such speed its amazing. call me a nuthugger or whatever but to be honest i love watching all the well known boxers because at the end of the day i love this sport. if everyone had the same style it would be shit. floyd is good for boxing, i have noticed he has tried to change his appearance to the public though which is nice to see.

When I heard his retirement, I was kinda dissapointed but now his back, It made me relieved. People hate him for his style and calling him a pussy? Floyd promised fireworks, and a war for the ages in his fight with Oscars, then when fight night came, all we got were a few sparklers and some firecrackers. This was the general opinion, pretty much across the board. The fight was a letdown to the fans who paid to see it, hoping for a fight. The reason why people love to watch fighters like Cotto and Pacquiao, is because of their vulnerability, and their willingness to put it all on the line. Mayweather is more concerned with not losing, then he is entertaining anyone. Not saying that a fighter's main goal should be to entertain the fans, but you will hear most fighter's acknowledge the fact that it is entertainment, in the end.
