Marquez really drank apple juice, and Mayweather's camp smeared some blood on that sparring guy. Both as guilty as each other, and all encouraged by HBO.
Reasonable?
Going back to what I was saying...
It's not entirely impossible that Marquez wants to make Floyd think he's crazy, which he probably does.
I'll add a Bernard Hopkins quote (just found it on Boxing-Talk) to this post:
Anybody who drinks his own urine isn't scared of nothing on two legs.:lol1:

Who knows? I would not be surprised AT ALL if it was fake.
But hey, I have no problem at all with Marquez and his piss drinking antics. If it psyches him up and somehow makes him fight better, more power to him. 50% of boxing is mental strength.
Ray Robinson used to drink raw beef blood before weigh-in's to gain a mental edge over his opposition. It's not entirely impossible that Marquez wants to make Floyd think he's crazy, which he probably does.

both the piss and the blood were real.
And for the blood, whats so special about that? You act like Floyd just spars 1 time, with 1 person, and 1 round, and never spars again. No he spars many times with many different people if one happens to bleed, guess what? That makes the show, unlike all his other sparring sessions.
Look, I get that. It's just that the secrecy and subsequent (and apparent) brutality of it seemed kinda staged - not to mention convenient for HBO. There was a lack of spontaneity during both fighters' most prominent segments.
And I say all that as someone who never, ever listens to or gets a kick out of conspiracy theories. :lol1:
Not unless he gets beat by a blown up featherweight along the way. :D
JMM got no business at WW. If Mr boat buyer loses this fight, I'll need surgery to get the smile off my face homey. :D
Yeah, it all looked too 'normal' for me. I know he said he'd done it for many fights, but I'm not buying that shit. The only time people do it is when they're stuck in the jungle or desert with nothing to drink (IIRC even encouraged by survival experts).
Besides, who wouldn't want to chug down some apple juice after a workout? It's good stuff.
It was real, just like he drank the Quail eggs with no problem.

but my question to you is...do you really give a shit?
It's not about giving a shit, but drawing parallel comparisons. Both have a reason to fake something outrageous, as would HBO for increased interest in the series and the fight itself.
In the end, I think it's a collusion between both fighters' camps - and HBO - to make things as 'fascinating' as possible to hype the fight. There's not even any animosity between the fighters, so something crazy had to be created.
to be honest that was my first thought..it was all a gimmick..i mean please tell me how someone can drink piss and slap there lips like it taste good? EXACTLY!

Or both parts were real.
Naw, reasonable but not actual. The deal is that JMM is a beast and is taking it back to his ancestors' times when they drank the blood of virgins and their own piss to gain the strength of immortals.
:friday:
All I know is Marquez's piss drinking drew alot of attention. I was like, Marquez doesn't say much, or do much, as soon as he did that, he stole the episode. Episode 2 was all Marquez.
