Broner does not fight anything like Mayweather. He uses the shoulder roll but other than that they have two different styles. I would love to see that fight though. I think Pacman would abuse Broner.
I thought Kellerman was awkward as a blow by blow guy. I appreciate Ward's insight. I feel that he is one of the better expert commentators in a while.
1. Broner knows he would get destroyed
2. His tounge is currently embedded in Floyd's ass and its hard fight someone from that position.
3. He is trying to leach off of Floyd's fan base by trying to act like Floyd but this will backfire if he fights Floyd. Why would you try to emulate someone who is about to whip your ass?
4. He has done nothing to earn a shot. He beat the weakest name in the division.
The weight limit for the boxing class is 148-154 lbs.
Anything that falls between 148 lb and 154 lbs is the super welterweight limit.
Please respect all fighter that are dedicated to make this weight and don't blow it on the scales.
Please respect all fighters if fighter (a) weights 148 lbs and fighter (b) weights 152 lbs....this is still within the junior middle division.
This has been the rules for this particular weight class since 1962.....1962.
We must all learn to live with this and respect it.
As implied above there is a rigorous definition to the word limit and you seem to have the wrong idea of what it means. A correct statement would be that 152 is within the jr middleweight limit, but the division is bounded from above by 154 lbs. This is a legit fight but it leaves room for criticism because of the catch weight. Floyd is hypocritical but who here really believes he is a principled man with integrity?
The question is who will Pacquiao fight next if a fight with Floyd can't be made? Floyd still has Kahn and Martinez at 154 if he is felling froggy, but all PAC would have as an option is Bardley or someone at 140 maybe.
I think both guys are holding up the fight. If Manny wanted the fight all he has to do is go on ESPN or any other public forum and sign an offer agreeing to OSDT and put the ball in Floyd's court. Floyd could do the same. The fact that neither guys is pressing this fight as hard as he can means that they both don't want it.
He does what Arum does; make his fighter look better than they otherwise would. The big difference and he sells to his fighters is that he gets them more money than they otherwise would. He is not good for the sport but he is great for the fighters he represents.
I don't know if Arum robs his fighters or not but I think he keeps great fights from happening. The advantage of going with Al Haymon is that he is probably way cheaper than TR or GB.
idk why it was deleted(somebody didn't like it apparently), but making topic asking why.it was deleted is going to anger the mods....
Why would the mods care if some asks for a reason why their thread was deleted? Are the mods infallable and not to be questioned? Do they run this forum like Nazis? I'm curious so I don't piss them off in the future.
Arum will make Jr. vacate and say that Sergio is not a big enough name and that he's not promoted properly. He then offers Sergio a shot at Paqcuiao if he signs with Top Rank which will be Pacuiao's last fight and we never see Floyd vs Paqcuiao.
roach is right, bradley is a lil b*tch and Khan beats floyd right now today after seeing what he did to judah who a prime floyd went life and death with
Floyd did not go life and death with Juddah and Kahn did not fight the same Juddah as Floyd. Plus I am sure that you have said that triangle theories don't work when talking about Floyd Manny and JMM. You are just a wild card lady fan boy who gobbles up whatever anyone connected to Pac says instead of thinking for yourself.
Just six months after the biggest win of his career he got blown out by Mosley. Why is that? He did not have the same power and since everything else about him is mediocre at best (besides his heart) he has been exposed. Why would any elite fighter choose to use plaster at the pinnacle of their career? Maybe because that is what took them there. He is a POS and ai hope he goes blind in his right eye.
All our biggest fight's this year were disappointments. Hopkins fight, Ortiz vs Mayweather, Pac vs JMM, and the NYC Stoppage for Margarito. In my opinion we've had better years. This was a bad year.
Pac JMM was not disappointing. The decision was but the fight was good. I had fun watching the fights this year. I went to Vegas to watch Mosley and Pac stink out the joint but I still had fun. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that Bob Arum is still running TR.
he's in a career that puts his life in risk anyway, anyone who is in boxing is kinda of an ******* to their family. And Margarito has a family too, cotto is the biggest hypocrite to his religion. And sick to want mrder someone over a fight
Are you kidding. Saying mean things is just as bad as having plaster in your wraps. Are fukking kidding me? I take it you have never boxed because loaded gloves is a cardinal sin. You are offended because Cotto talks trash. Cotto obviously doesn't want to kill him or make him blind but I'm sure he wants to beat the piss out of him and make sure he never steps in the ring again and I don't blame him.
seemed like he wanted to last night, constantly aiming for the eye. He wanted to make him blind.
So you are saying he shouldn't have aimed for Margarito's eye? Are you implying that there is an unwritten rule in boxing to not aim for injuries? This isn't baseball or golf there are no unwritten rules.
In many cultures it is impolite to stare. In this case, the Showtime Producers suggested that they stare. I
This is America, we don't give a shyte about other cultures. Who cares about being polite when you are going to get punched in the face by the guy sitting across from you
Marquez can't even make 147. Why the hell would he fight at 152? Do you even watch boxing or are you a Pactard that only knows of Pacquiao and his opponents?.... 152 IS a catch weight by the way.
Nobody should give that cheating POS any more money. He has gotten his ass whipped in every fight ever since he got caught. I don't think that is a coincidence. He is a bum without plaster.
Ward can work on the inside as good as anyone. That is where he does most of his rough housing. I got Ward by UD. I am getting Showtime just for this fight.
If he beats Marg then Arum will offer him a Pac rematch in order for Pac to avoid Floyd. I don't see Floyd fighting Cotto if he goes to GB cause Manny already beat him. Plus everyone will want Floyd to fight Sergio at 154 not Cotto... Cotto vs Martinez sounds like a good fight if Cotto wins Dec 3. He has more options at GB than with TR.
He will have a problem if he can't get Pacquiao to give him a rematch. At GBP he will have nice options like Mayweather Jr and Alvarez but that is it there is nothing else at GBP that will get Cotto the big money he wants. I think a Pacquiao rematch, Marquez and Chavez Jr would bring him more in the long run but cotto will make millions of dollars on any promotion.
I don't see Cotto going back to 147 for anyone but Manny. So I don't see Marquez vs Cotto happening. Marquez should clean up 140 or 135 and retire on top. Chavez Jr can't make 154 so that doesn't look likely. The only fight TR has to offer is Manny at 147. Cotto could fight Sergio, Canelo, or possibly but unlikely Floyd if he signs with Golden Boy
Mayweather's biggest talking point is how Pacquiao fights his leftovers so I don't see him giving Pacquiao the satisfaction of turning that around on him. Esspecially when he has a bunch of good options like Sergio and Kahn.
