After watching the Mosley fight and all three of the Marquez fights again there is a clear blueprint for success against Pacquiao.
1) Don't walk towards him, let him come to you. Guys who tried to walk him down got put to sleep or had their eye socket broken, but guys who waited for him were able to nullify most of his offense.
2) Get off first. When he gets hit first is when his offense is least effective. If Marquez would have been more consistent with this step it would have been a shut out.
3) When Pacquiao tries to trade punches circle to your right and watch his left. This is how Mosley and Marquez were able to avoid getting iced.
the guy that beat him the clearest was morales, and he simply outfought and pushed back pacquiao
but the counter-puncher works just aswell, it gives everyone hell
the counter puncher style is the cheapest style in boxing, there is no real way around except to turn into a fight on the ropes(where you'll likely take alot more than you give) or play into the opponents game by trying to counter punch yourself

:haha: LOL, Owned! The first JMM fight is the blue print and everybody knows it. Juan Manuel Marquez just isn't as good of an athlete as Manny Pacquiao is so it was easy for Manny to overwhelm him with speed. A fighter like Floyd on the other hand is a great athlete in his own rite and can adapt to fighters as easily as JMM can. So I'm more than positive that Floyd can execute the Marquez game plan better than Marquez did.

IMHO Erik Morales blueprint was a lot better and it did not include backing out, may take on your observation ...
1. good enough to do but must be done in spades, IMHO if you do this too much and just wait for manny, victory is not an option for you ...
2. Problem with this is PAC is fast as hell and its not easy to get off first and for some to get off at all ...
3. this is one is very good strategy

No bro, dont circle to your right. You'll walk right into pacs left hand. Circle to your left, takes away his angle and gives you a better angle for a lead right.
-Lead rights and uppercuts pac has trouble defending
-Styles make fights, and counter punchers have great success against pac. This is why i thought cotto would win, but he didnt fight how he was supposed to. If you try and just bang it out and impose your will, you will get murked(most likely).
-With all that said, good luck winning on the cards with all the judges sipping on the manny juice, or just flat out corrupted. Brb he throws ten punches, one of them lands. Brb i throw 1 punch, and knock him on his heels. Brb mannys round.
The biggest factor is that you have to stand your ground and be able to counter when he comes at you. He's had guys try to just counter and move, but the guys who beat him or are competitive were able to do so by backing him off in exchanges.
If the next opponent decides to run all night, Pac should just say **** it and start going backwards too. BS members would be pleased with Pacs performance then I guess. Both guys going backwards into the ropes, awesome fight!
How do you say 'No Mas' in the philipinnes? Because it's clear Manny's only gameplan is to swarm lesser opponents, don't know how well he'd fare fighting off of the backfoot. Although JMM pressing forwards is nothing terribly impressive, atleast he can stick to his guns and smear Manny when he catches him jumping forwards to throw a sloppy ass barrage of hybrid punches. That's if he's not reluctant to follow through with his combinations of course. It's not about who lands first, but what hits last in boxing. And JMM's timing, even at 38 is impeccable.

Pretty much, lol.
Yeah, and you ODOH are one of the reasons why brothers and sisters shouldn't marry.
leave the sh!t talking to pros like mak and thagreatest cuz ur insults are weak

In order to counterpunch as much as Marquez did you have to be willing to take chances and be within Pac's range. Is Floyd willing to take that chance?
I can see Floyd countering once, then backing up. I dont see Floyd looking to counter every single time like Marquez was.
Also one big shot by Pac could change the thinking of the fighter trying the Marquez style
Floyd is 3 inches longer then Pacquiao, and the big shot won't happen.
When was the last time Floyd fought a guy with speed, who could also move?
When was the last time Pac fought a guy with speed, who could also move but with better defense than him, a better boxing brain and a more accurate puncher plus an endless gas tank with lighting fast hands and unbelievable reflexes?
Its a two way street buddy!
At this age when has Floyd fought a guy with quicker feet who can move in...combo and get back out. Majority of Floyd's opponents lately have been guys right in front of him.
Mosley threw the same predictable right hand over and over and had no legs. Marquez was coming up from 135 pounds, and Ortiz is easy to hit.
Pac has the ability to use his legs to bounce in and bounce out.
I dont think Mayweather is gonna use the style Marquez used. Floyd is gonna try to walk down Pac with his gloves up like how he did in his last two fights.
Pac's ability to use his quick feet to get in and out. Circle Mayweather when he tries to walk Pac down is gonna cause Floyd problems

Floyd has longer arms, he doesn't need to be in Pacquiao's range, his reach advantage along with his skill set and ability to adjust mid fight is why he'll cruise to an easy victory over Manny Pacquiao, horrible matchup for Pacquiao.
Good matchups for Pacquiao: Flatfooted, come forward fighters who can't give proper angles, or defend properly against a fast punching fighter willing to get into exchanges

The Blueprint is
Fight in your prime coming of good wins
Dont accept a Catch Weight unless it up , never below your weight .
Dont accept a 26 ft ring
Dont accept an under the table pass from Arum .
