If that happens, I would love to hear the new excuses.
People get pretty creative when their fighter loses.
Maybe they can say Margs was on roids or something.
I just wonder if Margs is shot at this point.
TBH, I would be truly surprised if Cotto gets stopped early, he took a beating for 11 rounds, it's not like Margarito has one-punch KO power. The only chance Margarito has is to TKO him like last time, come on ya'll lol, Cotto's punch resistance isn't Roy Jones bad, it's gonna take prolonged punishment from Margarito to win. I guess we'll see the first 2 rounds how Cotto reacts to his punches, and I'm hoping he doesn't get any major facial injuries again cuz that led to his undoing.
Bust up Margarito's unhealed eye with his lead jab and use the left hook to the body. Clinch when backed into the ropes and pace himself. Margo is risking his eyesight taking this fight. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends the fight (win or lose) with a detached retina.
he won't do anything differently
he needs more clinching, better guard, and body work
don't see him doing those things though
his only prayer is he damages the bad Tony eye
thinking Tony stops him again and easier than last time
I can understand Mexicans being nationalistic but c'mon.. you're supporting a disgraced cheater. Where's the dignity in that? Cotto needs to beat the breaks off of this snake. My money is on the Puerto Rican, he's going to show up prepared to dish out violence. Tony is too slow, not savvy enough to handle a calculated assualt on his eye. He's going to snap in this one, if the ref is anything like the one who scored the Pacquiao-Margarito fight. Tony is going to yell No Mas! and crumble over the trauma of losing his vision. Even if the eye was ok'ed, Cotto could still find a way to outbox and overcome Margarito. We'll know by the first few rounds if he can truly withstand the punches and adjust or if this one comes down to the wire like the previous bout. Either way Cotto survives and come out the winner. It'll be close.
Really? I think you're talking about a different Margarito

.....go for the eye

This.
I don't see this going the distance. Margarito is very hittable. Margarito has good power still but very slow. If the eye is damaged badly, the ref will step in.
Nothing. Because without plaster wraps he would have never lost the first fight, in the first place.
Its going to be a complete domination by Cotto and you're going to see alot of silent margarito supporters come December 3rd.
:lol1: Oh boy come December 3rd we'll put the final nail on the coffin.
IDK if this fight is going to be a lot different from their last one, IMO Margarito is going to KO Cotto again, but if Cotto wants to win he should be in amazing shape for this fight, he's going to need it since he's going to have to move around the ring all night long. He should avoid standing still in front of Margarito, and of course he should try to take the center of the ring and make Margarito chase him. IF COTTO IS CAUGHT AGAINST THE ROPES HE'S DONE.
He should also try to hit Margarito's body to lower his stamina since Margarito is a guy who throws over 1000 punches per fight. Another thing is that he should try to hurt Margarito early in the fight, because if he isn't able to do it in the first rounds, I'm pretty sure he's not going to be able to do it in the latter rounds since Cotto isn't recognized to be a fighter who's able to maintain the work rate in the last rounds.
This will be the same as last time. Cotto will start well and land some hard shots but Marg will keep walking through them and wear him down and stop him late.
It might not be what Cotto does but what margacheato doesn't or can't do.
He needs to move to the side and not back up but doubt he knows how at this point in his career and target his face which will start to swell early if he gets touched hard I actually think Cotto should go all out early and look to bust up his face and try to get it stopped bcse he'll tire as the rounds mount.
Only thing is that cotto alway,s had stamina issues ... That,s something that he can,t fix.... He,s going to hit tony for about 4 rds. While backpedaling and those little ass legs are gonna get tired and marg will keep coming...repeat of first fight...
For Cotto to win, he's gonna need to economize a little, assuming he doesn't believe in his stamina. Box for the beginning of every round, and then start planting hist feet near the end and sit down on his shots. Jab jab jab, right hand/uppercut to the pit of the stomach, aim for the eye. Do not utilize the ropes as much as you did in the first fight, don't back up into the corners, try to keep the fight in the middle of the ring. When it doubt, jab and clinch. Also, keep your ****ing head up so you don't get hit by uppercuts that you don't see coming lol.
Hit and hold is the best he can do. With 10 Oz gloves he will be even less likely to hurt Margarito compared to their first bout. If he does the same thing he did in their first fight Margarito will still hurt him.
I don't know what he will do differently but I personally think he should go to the body more often to take the wind out of his sail. Work on tying him up and have a proper guard instead of shifting his hand to other side of his face in attempt to catch a punch.
