Danish media says Kesslers comeback will be in the World Boxing Super Series http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/world-boxing-super-series-revolutionary-50-million-elimination-tournament-launched-in-new-york-300421318.html
I'm certain, both things happening on the same day. Sauerland are one of the main players for the tournament, that launches tomorrow and they have a press conference for Kessler the same day.
Exactly my thoughts too:boxing:
All he has is a puncher's chance, I say he loses.
Green has no chance to win in Oakland
Ward refused to fight in the tournament unless he got "ALL" his fights in his home town! How did he get that? Why not the others? Green will be cheated! Ward will have his own personal referee and judges! His home town, commentators, etc. All of Ward's opponents will be cheated as well. Who gave him that advantage? What if ALL boxers refused to fight unless all their fights were in their home town?! No more fight period! Green will have to fight Ward and Ward's referee! Ward's ref allowed him to get by with the famous "Billy Goat" head butt, yes, Ward's ref believes that head butts are legal as long as they come from Ward. Green will have an uphill battle! Ward can punch low, head butt, elbow, cuff, you name it. Green will get disq. if he knocks Ward out. I guess Ward's personal ref will pick Ward up off the canvas and raise his hand! :boxing:
why does he keep hitting canvas then? maybe he's wearing some sort of slippery shoes? is it possible the momentum from his power punching tips him over?
All fighter can hit the canvas of different reasons,it is
nothing to do with their chin
probably cause he doesn't know who kessler is. oh is that the guy who lost to calzaghe? pass.
I can tell you who Kessler are,he is number 1 SMW in the world, moron
boxing politics friend - i know its slightly sad that kess is the champ at the division yet is chasing taylor, because he is the bigger draw.
taylor is not a champ in the SMW division yet but there is no doubt that he is one bigger names and in the top 3 rankings of any SMW ranking.
I know, but the only thing Taylor can give Kessler,is recognition in the US,nothing more,IMO if they fought,Kessler will KO Taylor
this is turning into a b!tchin contest between daggum and lfcdynasty - ffs take it somehwere else.
taylors ppl wont want the fight with kess, not right now anyway. if kess bought all the major titles to the table (he should have the ring title) they may seem him as worth it but right now he falls into the high risk and low reward category.
i think taylor might well keep himself busy with ights against hopkins (i jst think he has hopkins no.), a fight against a man who beat pavlik and more importantly a win against him would show that he does still have it ro brush shoulders with the best.
if not i can see him taking a fight with someone like bika or manfredo.
shame really - imo froch and johnson are the only 2 fighters who are willing to give kess a shot because they are the only 2 who really want to prove themselves.
That can Taylor bought to the tabel???,he is not even a world-champ,Kessler is
None of the above.
Froch likely fights Tayor and Inkin is scheduled to fight another. I cannot remember who. Balsay?
Kessler likely has to settle for a B-level yank.
Inkin has a fight against Karoly Balzsay on 2009-01-10
Just saw the Froch v. Pascal fight! Froch is the sh it! Literally!
Decent fighter with a crowd pleasing style but come on man! Is this suppose to be the next big thing out of the UK?
Couldn't get Pascal out of there and wears his chin on his forehead! A sucker for a counter left hook. Take away his straight right and he is fuc ked! The blazing speed I don't see! He could probably Outlast Taylor but who couldn't! We will feed him to the "Matrix"! Prove me wrong UK posters! Point out something I am missing that makes you all hold him in high regard!
Your right,Froch will lose to the top dogs
Calzaghe will play with him all night
Kessler and Bute will probably KO him
Kessler has the size at 168, the boxing skills, the movement and the speed to easily handle Hopkins and retire him from the sport.
As good as Kessler looked, I doubt that Hopkins will want to take the hook and seek out a fight with him. Hopkins wants a fight with Joe Calzaghe or Roy Jones Jr., either of which would bring in much more money without all the risk that Kessler would bring to the table. I realize that Kessler has been beaten by Calzaghe, but the fight was very close and in a rematch, I’m fairly certain he would beat him. That’s why Calzaghe probably doesn’t want to face him again. As far as Kessler-Hopkins, I don’t see any reason why this fight can’t place.
Kessler would probably agree to fight Hopkins at 175 any day of the weak, because it would mean that he would only have to put on a couple of pounds to make the fight. Realistically, Kessler wouldn’t have to gain a pound and he would still be big enough, quick enough and skilled enough to beat him. Ultimately, Hopkins may have no other option but to face Kessler, because Calzaghe has no interest whatsoever in going over old ground and beating Hopkins one more time, and Roy Jones Jr. won’t be in the position to fight Hopkins after he loses badly to Calzaghe
Kessler’s jab would be a major factor in the fight, as he would keep it in Hopkins’ face the whole time. Hopkins previously had problems in his fight with Jermain Taylor mainly because of Jermain’s jabs and speedy combinations. Kessler would bring the same thing to the table against Hopkins, but adding much more versatility when it comes to offensive firepower.
I think this would be a fight that the sneaky Hopkins couldn’t think his way through, trying to devise alternative strategies to beat Kessler. Believe me, Kessler would have a plan B, C, D, E and F, and would quickly work through each one until he found one that worked against the older Hopkins
Jeff Lacy did well for who he was.
If not for such a WEAK DIVISION Lacy(and Calzhage) would have never been a Champion.
Kessler and Bute are nothing special...plus they're getting old.
Kessler couldn't even stop a SHOT LIGHTWEIGHT or glass chinned Anthony Mundine.
Sven Ottke stopped Mundine with ONE PUNCH..............lol.................
Bute got steamrolled by a mexican that worked at Jack in the Box for TEN years..!
The Ref is the only reason that softie still has a Belt.
Moron,**** off and :wank::wank:to a picture of Jacobs or Dirrell :gay:
Are you Mundine or a member of his family by any chance???
He is just a Kessler hater, just look at his other post about Kessler, so ****ing bias and pure hate
true. i also think ward is going to stay in the southpaw stance more than he usually does because i think kessler has trouble with southpaws (i.e calzaghe) and now this guy..is it a coincidence? kessler is good in almost every department he does nothing great but everything decent..slick boxers are a nightmare for his style
Markus Beyer was also a southpaws and look that happen to him

Ward should watch the Mundine fight and copy Mundine's style.
Ward and Mundine are completely comparable as fighters. I would even venture to say that Mundine if he came in any where near the shape he was against Danny Green in their most recent fight would beat Ward.
Ward has a questionable chin combined with an over reliance on his handspeed. He's not fought any fighter with timing yet and this will be the reason he gets hit all night by Kessler.
I honestly think the key to beating Kessler is out-boxing him from the outside, because he doesn't seem to be able to do a hell of a lot to stop it if you're able to get your jab in before him.
Unfortunately for 99% of fighters, getting your jab in before him is impossible.
Do you think he'd have beat Calzaghe if it hadn't been broken?
No,not in Wales, but the fight had been very close,in copenhagen Kessler would had won a close UD:boxing:
Who has Dirrell beat?
The great Shannon Miller http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=15858&cat=boxer
And a overratted Victor Oganov http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=16978&cat=boxer
And 16 bum
Calzaghe took 2 severe uppercuts and took them both from what I remember.
I know, anybody otherwise than Calzaghe had gone down if they was hit like this, great chin
115-113 calzage won.... it was closer than people think, kessler defintley through the best punches! just not enough of them... kesslers right uppercut in the middle rounds was glorious!!!!
Me too 115-113 and Calzaghe won
And the right uppercut was fantastic:boxing:
