Ward should watch the Mundine fight and copy Mundine's style.
Ward and Mundine are completely comparable as fighters. I would even venture to say that Mundine if he came in any where near the shape he was against Danny Green in their most recent fight would beat Ward.
Ward has a questionable chin combined with an over reliance on his handspeed. He's not fought any fighter with timing yet and this will be the reason he gets hit all night by Kessler.
I honestly think the key to beating Kessler is out-boxing him from the outside, because he doesn't seem to be able to do a hell of a lot to stop it if you're able to get your jab in before him.
Unfortunately for 99% of fighters, getting your jab in before him is impossible.
I think he will hold like crazy, and I do think it works against elite fighters since Hopkins pulled that shit against Calzaghe and slowed Calzaghes work-rate down like crazy. If hopkins hadn't done all that holding, Calzaghe would have landed more punches on him though both fighters weren't landing much.
I think he wil hold all night as well. I hope the ref deducts points for it, shit is annoying.
I may be in the minority here but I think Kessler hits just as hard as Miranda, possibly more and is sharper. I think Ward's best bet is to fire jabs and give Kessler a lot of movement. In and out. Maintaining that for 12 rounds is another story.
I agree. Miranda cocks his right hand back, and loads up. Kessler punches are shorter and more compact.
I'd say that Ward should fight more as a southpaw too.

If you watch Ward's career you'll notice that he adjusts his style for each fighter. He has a good team Im sure they will figure out plan suited just for Kessler.
Using alot of holding?
Or is Kessler to good/strong to let him get away with those tactics?
Kessler is a more skilled opponent, he will need to change his approach on this fight if he wants to win
