Does anyone else think Floyd is one of if not the hardest puncher Canelo is going to be facing?
Maybe Cintron would be the hardest puncher, other than that Floyd has got to be the best puncher he's faced since then..
yes cintron was a harder puncher, and canelo didnt respect his punches...
Yes Alvarez is probably Mayweathers best opponent. But when 75% of the forum say Mayweather will win. What does that say about Mayweathers most meaningful opponent? That it is another sure win? Which is why Mayweather took the fight. I hope Canelo knocks him out for this.
floyd did not took the fight , showtime took over....
Who of note did Cintron ever KO???
He is slow as a turtle and was shot to hell when Canelito fought him.
he has 70% ko ratio and is bigger than floyd, and floyd is not known for his power so go figure....
by the way how many "real" welters or superwelters has floyd ko?
please no sucker punch...
Floyds gonna win this one too man, UD. Money just doesnt pick a fight he cant win. That's his "secret". Anyone that knows anything about boxing, or just has the common sense to see who he fights can see that. Dont you find it curious, real boxers talk down their opponents, "the guy is nothing, he's slow I'll beat the living **** out of him!". Money on the other hand goes "he's the best boxer there is, he's a legend, that's why I picked him, i fight the best!". He promotes his opponents as if they are the most feared fighters ever but he goes for slow guys, boxers with poor KO record or old boxers well past their glory days. Canelo is a good example of that. The guy is young and really fought no one worth mentioning. He's so slow you fall asleep waiting for each hook. Floyd can go back home, have a nap and come back to the ring before Canelo finishes throwing one of the punches. Maybe more important, Canelo isnt a worrior, he's a young guy that comes from a confy life, he's no nail eating badass with true hunger for glory. Kudos to "money", one of the best buisnessmen I've seen. If he keeps picking them like this he has a good chance of retireing undefeated as he wants, some dumbasses will even consider him hall of fame worthy.
FerFAL
you know nothing about canelo, do your research before opening your big mouth...
Lol these dumbasses think cAnelo is responsible? Why exactly hasn't he headlined a ppv yet?
hasnt healined a ppv but is THE ONE to save showtimes a$$...
shows his finger to floyd on may 4th and still gets the fight....
It's not a PPV without Mayweather. If Canelo was a PPV draw he'd have been on one with Trout.
Hell Mayweather was on one with Gatti and Baldomir.
how can gbp make a ppv 2 weeks before may 4th, after that mega deal with showtime he wasnt going to hurt them, they barely made 800k and with a canelo ppv ahead wouldnt even get to 500k...
there is a reason why canelo got the fight even after showing his middle finger to floyd...
He really has. I bet 90% of the Latino population orders this fight. I think it hits 2 million buys, but falls short of Oscar-Floyd.
if it wasnt for the streams this fight will break the record...
I not really a fan of Floyd even know I do appreciate his fighting skills but Im pretty tired of reading all the Canelo nuthuggers taking smack for a guy who has done nothing but fight 95% undersized-inflated or WELL passed prime boxers. His record is completed inflated and overrated by his lovers.
On the record, he does have potential but currently he will get schooled by FMJr.
Any how, for his nuthuggers...come and get my ePoints!
1:1 All my points on FMJr.
canelo easily destroys each one of floyds last 5 opponents, including cotto..
I saw Canelo winning the fight. No arguments there. Now, I do agree that Trout was the only on his prime boxer that Canelo has faced and I also agree that his record is inflated.
I belive that Floyd will beat him with ease. Just like he did with Guerrero.

canelo is not prime himself yet,but i can tell you if you put canelo in front of floyds last 5 oponents he destroys each and every one of them... and that includes cotto...
I think Pacquiao is finished and Chavez jr + Canelo aren't good enough.
here is something i found at espn deportes, used google translator
"We hope to be Canelo Floyd is fighting whom," said Richard Schaeffer, direct from Golden Boy Promotions, during the press conference, later noted. "Against Mayweather or not, Canelo fight on September 14th at the MGM", as Oscar de la Hoya has already reserved the date and place.
If so, it is expected to be Cotto's opponent for Canelo September 14, and learned that Cotto would have sought to work with Freddie Roach in his corner, but there are other guys like Erislandy Lara and Alfredo Angulo himself with Saul could star in an evening.
How many ppv has a Canelo main event sold? I thought so.
you are about to find out about canelos ppv numbers in sept, he will fight cotto and has good chances of making even more than cotto-floyd...
now tell me canelo pulling off his fight from the undercard did not affected the ppv sells...
smart move cuz now showtime will force floyd for better fights including canelo...
i just received a call from mike batah, and he told me that if you go to the weigh inn and donate a toy you will get a free ticket, nice isnt??
as good as this card is, just didnt generate the same interest as canelo-trout did...
but if i was in town i will go watch this too, hope theres good support cuz is good boxing....
No body went crazy about the weight difference until recently. Floyd's fought a ton of guys way bigger than him so that doesnt matter. He's going to be the smaller guy most of the time. The problem is 2 fold. At one point people thought with age and Floyd going to jail/looking a lil swoll, that he may have put on some more weight. At the same time Canelo was mostly 165 on fight night so it was big but something Floyd could be use to even though he's still obviously more naturally bigger, stronger than Ortiz.
However, then the Trout fight came and in the whole leadup you could see that both those guys looked huge. Way bigger naturally than Floyd. Then on fight night Canelo was 172 while at the same exact time the thing comes out about Floyd already being 148 at the 30 day weigh-in. It changed alot of things for people.
Thats not even including the fact that Canelo seemed much stronger & physical then a huge guy in Trout while alot of people thought Cotto had success pushing Floyd around and Canelo is much bigger/stronger than Cotto. The thing that would help Canelo a ton (if the fight doesnt get made for September) is if Canelo in his next fight comes into the ring at 165 again.
I dont see that happening though because he's young and still growing so he's likely to go the other way and be 173 or 174 in his next fight
i actually believe that canelo bulked a lil more than he normally does cuz he knew Trout was the bigger guy, he didnt seem to have problems at the weigh in, thats where his problem will be at some point... he will not need to re-hydrate that much against floyd where he is already the bigger guy, i dont see him having issues with a re-hydration clause, the problem will be on a catch weight... he simply wont make 150lbs or less...
I know for a fact that he comes in at 141. he just screwed Marquez on the scales to troll him.

cant compete with your arguments....
156? against whom? You dont understand how small he is
he is so small that couldnt even make catchweight against the smaller marquez, now thats interesting ....
Bolded parts are false. And are closer to complete fantasy.
Mayweather has never weighed 158 unofficially, ever. In his entire career.
The heaviest he was ever weighed unofficially is 150 lbs and that was against Ortiz in 2011. Which was also the last time he was weighed unofficially.
like you actually witnessed that...
ggg rocked canelo in sparring and was hitting him so hard his face turned beet red...i doubt gbp would match canelo with ggg anytime in the foreseeable future...
maybe that is why ggg said canelo is the best boxer he is ever sparred...
there is always a new duck, lara = trout 2.0... it hasnt been a year since canelo fought trout and some fanatics here are already calling another duck...
people act like the undercard has too be stacked for it too do well. i don't recall any mayweather fights with a stacked undercard except the canelo fight. nobody remembers any undercard fights from the hatton, ortiz, mosley, or marquez fights, yet they all were a success. nobody orders a pay per view for the undercard. Nobody!!!! people order the pay per view too see the draw, which is floyd
so you dont remember canelo being on his undercards?
him on the undercards is stacked enough to reach more than a million ppvs... last time he wasnt it didnt reach 900k...
