Lucas Matthysse vs Juan Manuel Marquez

at no point in marquez's carreer that convinces he would've beaten the current lucas ...

right now, I think Lucas probably stops him 5 years ago, Marquez would've boxed his socks off and frustrated the hell out of him marquez losing to matthysse now doesn't really prove anything Marquez is a way smarter fighter with a much higher boxing I.Q. And the Heredia trained Marquez, without the random drug testing, would put Lucas Matthysee to sleep the same way he did Pacquaio. If there is random drug testing though, I can't really tell you who would win. Maybe Matthysee because of age. But I can't speak on Matthysee either because he's never went through random drug testing. So to me, it would be a pick-em fight.

Marquez would get stopped. He doesn't have the length to keep Matthysse off with the jab and his mobility has gone down.

Marquez is a great counter puncher.. One of the best ever. However, he has never... EVER... Been a defensive master. I think at his age now, he gets stopped.

Marquez can outbox him, but Lucas would definitely catch and drop him down several times. JMM is known to get dropped by mediocre opponents and Lucas has enough power to put him down on his ass enough to get a few 10-8 rounds. It'd be a close fight, but i'd give the slight edge to Marquez.

Interesting fight. I think la máquina has a chance because he loves those body shots that can wear you down then goes up stairs to finish it up. Though Dinamita adjusts during the fight and don't forget a brilliant counter puncher. Again, interesting fight. I think an all action fight that would have gotten everyone's attention(if he was still alive)would have Valero. As a matter of fact that would be similar to(if the fight gets made)Danny vs Matthysse. Can't wait:boxing:

Marquez would need every bit of his experience to make it out against Matthysse.

Honestly, I swear sometimes I wonder what people were watching. Marquez in the 4th fight against Manny didn't have the same mobility, hand speed, didn't pull the trigger the way he did in that 3rd fight against Pacquiao. That was an impressive finish against Manny, but throughout the fight you can see he slipped. Marquez is a warrior though so I would never overlook him, never, but this right here is a tough fight for him, one I'm not so sure he'll win.

Marquez is too smart for Matthysse.. So he will avoid Lucas and never fight him. I have Lucas by KO in 4 rounds
