I see in Peter Quillin shades of Felix Trinidad, The height, the reach, the power and the desire to win and no quit. I think they are very similar in terms of styles, Ofcourse there are some differences but I would say that Peter Quillin is the closest thing we have to a new "Tito" Trinidad. The horrific punching power, Iron chin, et al, Peter Quillan is slowly but surely getting the recognition he deserves.
The biggest problem that Tito had was that he was promoted alot by Don King, With whom he has still good friendship, But Peter Quillin is promoted by GBP and I think they will do a better job with Kid Chocolate than King did with Tito. Its hard to believe that Quillin is not getting a fraction of the media attention that he deserves given his landslide, stunning victories and high KO ratio, I think if Tito was still active he would have handed the torch to Quillin.

Why am I not surprised some of you guys are talking as if Bradley won by KO. OK let's get one thing straight. Weigh in weight and day of fight weight are not the same. There is a reason why fighters train and drain. No one fights at their walking around weight. Even Floyd refuses to do unofficial day of weigh ins. All this crap started when HBO began to bring up fight night weights. ALL FIGHTERS in the history of boxing have always weighed more in fight night then at weigh in. I don't think Pacquiao can make 154 but I also think they are using the lower weight as an advantage. NO DIFFERENT then what Cotto did!
Sugar Ray Leonard fought in several catch weight fights and no one cried then. Hopkins fought both DLH and Tito in catch weights. Trust me unless you look like Brandon Rios at weigh ins or how DLH looked vs Pacquiao you're not weight drained.
I also want to point out how the weight really works. Welterweight has a max of 147. Remember it ends at 147 not starts. So anywhere from 141 to 147 is welterweight! Just like 148 - 154 is Super Welter. It should work like this. If Cotto want to take the fight then he can come in at 154 and if Pacquiao wants in then 148 would work.
And when he did the fight turned from a clinch-fest to FOTY candidate.

In the end, Kirkland did not impress at all. The sign of a great fighter is not letting the other guy dictate the pace or fight. Kirkland had 2 hands and did nothing with them. Excusing it because of Molina's smothering style is just straight lying to yourself.

victor ortiz has improved since the maidana fight--he( mayweather) doesn't have brute strenght at welterweight his skills are great defensively and that can be all,but ortiz has youth and strong skills, was very impressive beating the crap out of andre berto. if this fight was to be at 154 i would say mayweather wins but, at 147 when ortiz is just barely moving up getting stronger then ortiz is the logical choice.
