Yes making weight is hard, specially if you are trying to get down to a weight that is not healthy for you according to your height.
This dude is 5'8 and somewhat of a medium to large frame, there is no reason why he should kill himself just to make himself weigh in at a weight he don't even belong in. I despise fighters who always try to have the upper hand to win fights, dude is no 135 pounder, he needs to nut up and step up to guys his own size!
Here is what your weight should be at 5'8:
Small frame: 140-148
Medium frame: 145-157
Large frame: 152-172
I honestly think he can make 135 with ease, considering how soft his body looks
at the weight, but if laziness or self discipline ain't the problem, then he should just go where he belongs and stop fighting those little guys.
lol what? first you say he's not 135 pounder but then you go on to say he can make 135 with ease lol
Calm your feminine hormones and read carefully. If you still don't get it, read it again. If that don't work, PM me and I'll break it down for you slooowwwly...
Lol, as soon as Gamboa showed up at Mayweather's gym, there's been a lot of hate on Rios.
The story is that Rios couldn't make weight, and he literally paid for it, and his body paid for it on the day of the fight. We all know this.
Big Deal, The WORLD keeps on SPINNING brah.
Keep loosing sleep and crying over it.
time to move on........
he failed weight a couple times, big deal
no reason not to respect him
he properly got stripped of his strap for it
if he wastes his career over it like Guzman, it's a problem
for now, not big enough a deal to shit on him for it
its a boxing we site where people all around the world express their opinions... rios needs to fight at 140, he lost his last fight then talked **** about it without giving any credit... hes going to get criticized bro...
^^This sums it up.
I just hope miraculously he lands the jmm fight so jmm can tee off all night. I think van bam has heart but I definately feel his main advantage was being naturally bigger. Rios and Joan Guzman should fight too. Not only would it be action packed, but both would come in over weight so it wouldn't be a big deal LOL

Because he failed to make weight two fights in a row.
And this last time he went on and on about how he has no problems now making weight, eating all the time etc.
It has nothing to do with being lazy. It has to do with not listening to his body. If it was a beloved fighter then people would be worried but since he's outspoken and insulting people like you get offended by him. Thus finding ways to talk trash!
If a fighter fails to make weight and the commission have reasonable grounds to think it will happen again they should refuse the sanction his next bout in that division.
I agree with this.

Just about every fighter does this
I dont get why people get on Rios' case so much

Rios had been wanting to move up for a while tho, but top rank it always comes down to them... he only stayed at 135 for gamby and u see how that went. He's moving up to 140 tho
That's a good thing, we should see what he's made of now that he'll be campaigning at a comfortable weight for him.
