I'm not saying this to be an asshole, i genuinely believe Ali is and was the most overated fighter ever.
dude i totally agree with u. im not a big fan of him
whoevers saying shane will get Koed is stupid. mosley is not an easy guy to stop. At his age he prolly might lose to him, but cmon guys, hes sugar shane, he wont get Koed
whoever started this post is a straight dumb ass. k-1 and boxing are different. pac and flyd would beat them in boxing and he would beat them in kickboxing. enough said.
you know what, some people say that its a bad match up due to size, but i actually think it will be a good fight. Im gnna go with Marquez on this one. call me crazy but i think he can pull i toff
cotto would have lost to clottey if clottey didn't fight like a b*tch in the 12 round
cotto would have lost to judah if he didn't low blow judah every time he got hurt
cotto couldnt even knock malignaggi out. cotto even got ROCKED by feather fisted malignaggi
cotto beat up a guy with one leg
cotto = overrated
mayorga KO's cotto march 12
all i have to say is that youre an idiot. lol hater
Kahn? He's had what like 4-5 fights at the weight? I don't think so.
Since when did you need more than 4-5 fights to become the best in a certain weight class?
honestly, you cant hate shane for tryign to get the best match up for money and ranking. Thats what boxers do. That fool hating on him on twitter is prolly some fat guy who sits on his couch and doesn't actually go out there and train. give shane some respect people
The only reason Clottey gets a lot of criticism is because he's not very strong mentaly and lacks determination.
To be honest I don't think he broke his hand against Margarito i think he was looking for a way out after seeing that he couldn't beat marg's workrate.
The thing that makes Clottey a great fighter is that he never gets hurt, has the best deffense in the game and is very strong physically. (and IMO has a beautiful style)
You're not going to beat this guy easily and like you said he's a threat to everybody. That's why not many fighters want to risk fighting him cough "berto cough lol
That sounds very reasonable, but if you watch the fight closely you see clottey punching a little different and kinda funny.
I heard he sprained it. maybe he did hurt it who knows. It wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't really that bad of a sprain and he found it as an excuse to give up though
I think Clottey is hungry to redeem himself right now and I think he has realized that he needs to stop ****ing around because his chances of earning a tittle are becoming critical after his last performance.
I hope they put him against berto or foreman. I'm more than confident he will beat both of them.
Yea I just hope they give him another big chance. I love his style and i think he has potential to be one of the very best. I see where everyones coming from tho with the mentally tough issue. And I agree with you. I think he would beat Berto and foreman. A rematch with Cotto would be good too. Maybe against cintron and mosley?
You cant be humble, believe in God and whoop ass. What is there to hate about those traits.
Darn slick negroes.LOL.
Who the hell hates Clottey? Thats just strange.
everything you said, AGREED! ahha best post all day
You and I are on the same page. I've been saying this for ages.
Thanks, many people on here underestimate styles, mostly people who dont know boxing, unlike you and me :lol1:
no see, heres my ultimte point, alot of people say pac punches from weird angles and all that mess and hes unorthodox and all, what i am saying is, the way floyd can see how orthodox boxers telegraphs their move.. jmm sees pac telegraphing his moves...
pac's weird and unorthodox angles are in reality, not so weird or unfamiliar to jmm, this is unique to jmm and no one else, they just get trashed getting in pacquiao's ways.. look at his fights.. now the question is, would floyd figured out pac's weird angles?:lol1:
its true both can counterpunch but it wouldnt matter if you cant anticipate pac's moves... the greatest asset mayweather has is also anticipating wats coming and blocking it using his forearms or going on the offensive and countering but that has only been true for orthodox boxers
saying floyd can counterpunch pac is pure delusional.. the truth is.. its unknown until they face each other and may shows he can handle it
You make a really great point. but the thing is, like what i said before, marquez fought pacquiao twice before, and he knows how he moves from experience. Mayweather has never boxed pacquiao, so marquez would know pacs movements more than floyd would. And dont forget that teh first time marquez fought pacquiao, his wierd angles and tactics put him down three times in the first round. It took a long time for him to adjust. And you know what, Mayweather, unlike marquez, would probably stick to his counterpunching because if its anyone, marquez would be the one who engages pac first. I dont see mayweather the first one to engage pac.
Again, Im just saying that you cant judge pac-may based on jmm-pac. The masterfight between pac and may is still relevant.
think about it the only guy to ever push marquez around and get him on the ropes was juan diaz for the first 3 or 4 rounds in their first fight. the guy refuses to be bullied and has the skills to stand his ground when someone comes at him. even guys like baldomir and marqjez had mayweather up against the ropes during their fights. it's like marquez doesn't care if he gets caught during an exchange and floyd will only exchange if he knows he won't get caught.
Completely agree. Marquez has balls.
youre wrong though
JMM doesn't just counter mechanically in a kind of pattern you can break down and anyone who uses it can outbox pacquiao, i just watched jmm and pac in slow motion and what i found is, its not so much that JMM knows how to counter, its the fact he can anticipate pac's every arsenal pretty well no matter how pacquiao mixes it up
pacquaio has a few favorite moves- the double left straight combo, pure left straight, and his right hook which he uses it
pacquiao doesnt necassairlly used those in order over and over, sometimes its mostly jab in the beginning, smetimes its just a left straight, very few times he string together all of them and make a 7 combo and JMM knew wat was gonna do, adjust defensively either by squatting, backpeddalling or seeing an opening and countering while pac is executing his arsenal
for some reason, whatever it maybe, only jmm seems to see something in pac that can telegraph everything he does before it happens
kinda like how mayweather can anticipate his opponents and block every single punch.... thats how jmm is when he face pac
While, you're telling me im wrong, at the same time youre proving im right. So if marquez beat pac without counter punching, how would that give floyd a big advantage as a counterpuncher?
After watching the first time, i thought marquez won, but after rewatching it and scoring it round by round, I had it a close fight. i had some rounds that were 10-10 rounds or they could have went either way. In the end, marquez landed the cleaner shots but pac landed more. It could have went either way guys, just face it.
I hate it when people call good boxers "bums" when they never even trained before or competed, and all they do is sit behind a computer talking trash. Do you know how hard it is to be where Barker and Sergio are at and how high the competition they faced? All i can tell you is that its not as easy as watching every boxing match on tv pretending you now crap about boxing. Go to a boxing gym and see how hard it is and maybe you guys can give them a little bit more respect.
