I consider only Patterson an atg. I think the others were great. Their is a difference. Patterson was a built up middleweight, and because of his speed and the fastest puncher of his time, had great success. But eventually he took a lot of punishment and slowed down. This fight was made back in 2009 except for one thing: Olympic style Random Drug Testing. One side wanted it and one did not. This will always be the legacy of this non-fight. His "promotion" company does not, or certainly did not have a promoter's licence, according to the Nevada State Commission he never has applied for one. So when he fights, being the main attraction and wanting to make the most money, and dictate the terms, he hires Golden Balls to do all the promoting, which is a huge job, needing a big organisation to do it properly. To put it simply, Howard Cosell was every bit as critical and opinionated as Larry Merchant yet Ali actually befriended him while Mayweather certainly has not. If you know how to deal with the media, you can make it far easier on yourself. As for styles, there is very little comparison. It was actually the other way around. Cosell befriended Ali, sttod up for him and constantly gave his "unasked" opinion as to his rights and defended him all the way. I remember when Wilson was the talk of the day after his devastating KO of Emmanuel Nwodo. Those days seem long gone now.
