Why was Mayweather so respectful to Marquez during the buildup to their fight?

it's not like he didn't throw jabs at marquez, he did bag on him for drinking his own pee. then again, who wouldn't?

I think Floyd likes Marquez and vise versa. Notice in the 9th Round when Marquez was ready to go,Mayweather deliberately held back from pressing for the KO. After that Round,his Uncle told him to put him away,plus his father also gave a signal from the stands to go for the stoppage.But Floyd went in and allowed Marquez to finish the fight,in the last round he did not even throw much.He allowed Marquez to throw as many as he wanted coz he did not want to stop him. Look at the second round in there fight, floyd tried to finish marquez but couldn't, floyd was never sure if marquez was ready to go because marquez always fired back and was in position to retaliate. Floyd was pretty respectful during the Judah build up. Judah was fairly disconnected during the build up.

Usually in the buildup to a fight, Floyd takes the opportunity to verbally bash his opponents. But against Marquez he was noticeably subdued and very respectful of Marquez. Why? The lead-up is always different... he respected him and I think as well what should he have said? He doesn't speak english good... and Mayweather doesn't speak much spanish... Mayweather in general after fights is very respectful towards his opponents UNTIL they are disrespectful towards him... even after the headbutt from Ortiz he tried to downplay it and acted liked that happens and is ok... but since they can't keep their mouth he is shouting at them too... it's the same with everyone... he was respectful towards DLH and Hatton as well UNTIL they started to discredit him...
