Gomez was stopped years ago, when he was good, by Vitaly Klitschko, in the 10th as I recall. gomez was a good cruiserweight when the limit was 190lbs...he's another blown up CW.he beat 42 year old mccall & virchis to get his title shot.he won a regional belt in turkey.the WBC international title...he was a decent HW at best.his biggest wins are vs 42 yr old mccall,sinan sam, david defigabon,virchis & denis bahktov...he was ok at best...when a win over a 42 year old former champ is your only real name you got on your resume then you are not that good...

I thought Gomez could get another payday on the strength of his performance against Vitali but I was wrong. He turned in a terribly lazy effort and paid for it. Darnell Wilson is obviously not going anywhere even after this victory but it is nice to see a fellow poster (don't know if he posts anymore though) get a win over a notable opponent.

I remember when Wilson was the talk of the day after his devastating KO of Emmanuel Nwodo. Those days seem long gone now. I'm guessing Gomez will get a title shot at some point as long as he keeps beating these type of opponents he is facing. Not the most honourable way of getting a title shot, but it works. He looked okay in the first five rounds, but wasn't impressive after that. Maybe he was moving and jumping around too much and tired himself out. Klaus Peter-Kohl should cash out Dimitrenko to one of the Klitschkos, before he gets beaten by some tough journeyman. he did beat sosnowski with a nice knock out but sounds like he was ****ting the bed...i didnt see the fight

Argh right, fair enough. Sprotts own fault really, if he did more IMO he had a shot in that fight but he was too lazy & only fighting in short bursts. It's a shame because you can see in periods he does have some talent & could do so much more. Yep, I thought Sasha looked like doo-doo and was a KO waiting to happen but Sprott wasnt throwing enough punches, he would just stand there for 90% of the round and then throw a few punches. Sprott has noone to blame but himself, he couldve won this fight if he was more active, he rocked Sasha a few times. even if this fight was in USA or UK, Sprott wouldnt win a decision. but what the hell is up with Sasha? He looked like doodoo, all that jumping up and down, if he fought someone in top 10 or 15 they wouldve KO'd him every time he jumped

Where Wilson the American who was a HUGe underdog with lots of loses won a decision against Gomez who speaks german, fights in germany and is promoted by the company putting on this show. Judging is way better than USA. Roger Tilleman was scoring the fight though. I wonder how he still has a job.

Tyson Fury would pick Dimitrenko apart, thats how terrible Sasha looked today
