Berto is A CLOWN AND EVERYONE in boxing knows it.He owes everything to Lou Dibella,this is a kid who won the belt 2 years ago,in the hottest division,and hasn't fought ANYBODY.Fight isn't even the right word when talking about wht Beto CLAIMS to doin the ring.His porcelin chin is COMMON knowledge so he uses what weak chinned Andre Ward does he hits and HOLDS,lets go real quick with a flurry and then HOLDS ON ALL FIGHT.Its pathetic to watch,the sad part is he is doing THIS against guys not even in the DIVISION.In a loaded division Berto feasts on small guys moving up and still can't hurt them remember Stevie Forbes embarrissing Berto untill he started HOLDING,He did NOTHING but HOLD Urango(go rewatch the fight if you think I exagerate,or any of his fights for that reason)the guy is the MOST UNEXCITING fighter in boxing today and HBO should do themselves a favor ,next time you do a Berto fight look around,despite being seen around the world by millions he can't bring in 2000 fans.MIND BLOWING when you think about it but it shows fans don't lie,they came in droves for TYSON and Hagler but they don't want to see a guy PETRIFIED t otake aclean punch HOLD ALL FIGHT.Collazo beat him and the guy acts like Collazo isn't a fighter,he pulled out of the Shane fight ,he's a joke and everyone knows it.I guess he was nearly ko'd in the ameteurs with the headgear and bigger gloves and weak punching ANCIENT Cosme Rivera dropped him hard.Hes JUST AN OVVERRATED BUM.

It would be WORSE than Gatti/Mayweather,because he wouldn't be doing it to a 33 year old fighter but a fighter in his prime and he would KO BERTO clean like Hatton because Berto's chin AINT GATTIS.

Froch is till DELUSIONAL ,I was there when he was 30 seconds from losing his belt to Taylor ,whenhe was ROPPED haed in the second I thought that was it right there.As for Calzaghe vacating lets not TRY and fool the fans here,Carl had NEVER EVEN FOUGHT a top ten supermiddle at that time and was UNKNOWN.I would pick Hopkins,and am sure Kessler will ko him later this year.If Joe came out today he would STILL be WAY TOO FAST for Carl ,ovverrated POWER and Chin Froch.

I think pre Mcgirt Gatti would have DOMINATED Katsidis-when Mcgirt came along Gatti started fighting on his back foot more becoming almost a counterpuncher.That version could go either way.Gatti was at his best at 23,24,25,but he fought elites throughout his whole 16 year carrear,except the last fight.Katsidis ONLY started fighting name fighters when the 38 year old Casamayor kod him about 2years ago.Gatti fought a prime 29 year old Oscar and a prime 28 year old floyd at the TAIL end of his carrear.

Exposed by Mayweather at 33 AFTER 14 YEARS of fighting top fighters and being in 4 FIGHT OF THE YEARS.Katsidis doesn't have Gattis chin and Katsisdis has a TERRIBLE right hand it looks like hes throwing a baseball.I again would favor the 21-31 year old Gatti,but when Mcgirt came along he no longer used his power and chin to put pressure ,he started trying to be a defensive fighter. thank god he ALWAYS had his power to bail him out

People seem to forget that when Joe faced Hopkins,Kessler,Lacy,and Jones he was far from his OWN prime.Joe had hand problems that took their toll on his power.I believe Joe would have embarrassed Hopkins if they metv10 years earlier when Joe was 25.As Hopkins has gotten older ,Id say since the last Taylor fight hes employed the old hit and Hold technique.The same move that Andre Ward,and Berto use,they use it because of weak whiskers Hopkins because he just cant fight 3 full minutes anymore and hes not quick enough to avoid shots ala Mayweather.So he throws a punch then holds,he decides to let go throw another then hold.It saps the opponent of energy is extremely cheap thats why its illegal just NEVER enforced.

I remember after Oscar fought Mayorga ,they asked him who was the hardest puncher he faced and he said Arturo Gatti.After the Oscar/Gatti fight Arturo said he couldn't land anything CLEAN or on Oscars chin and was surprised at how hard Delahoya he was to hit flush.Even Oscar admitted he never got hit flush on the chin by Gatti but said he had the heaviest hands he ever felt.When they took REYES Munez out on the stretcher in the first round and he never fought again I knew Gatti had power.The fact that Ward suffered triple vision for over 6 months after their last fight and needed brain surgery to fix it ,for me confirmed Gatti's power,or watching Dorin who had never been down or even hurt,crumble like he was shot after Gatti drilled him with a left hook to the liver. Go watchyoutube when Gatti was training for Gomez with Ward holding the pads,man was he CRACKIN with the uppercuts and right hands,too bad he didn't throw more than THREE PUNCHES THAT WHOLE FIGHT against Gomez,but Arturo could sure Crack.I think the best way too sum up Aruro Gatti is he had everything to be an elite fighter-exceptional power in both hands,great chin,very fluid-but he never put it ALL together an became an ELITE!!RIP-THUNDER

In his fight with FORBES and ALL THROUGHOUT the COLLAZO fight BERTO held on like a girl.I believe he will hit and hold ,hit and hold ,against anyone with even a HINT of power from now on.This kid was dropped twice and on the verge of being ko'd in the ameteurs with headgear and 12 oz gloves,he was dropped and hurt against COSME RIVERA(the same guy JUDAH ko'd in 3 about 4 years ago) , and needed to used a HATTON/LAZCANO(when RICKY was out in the 10th and pointed to his untied laces to the ref who then gave him 40 seconds to (recover)tie his shoes)move.Berto was hurt and dropped and then decided to call attention to the ref a rip in his gloves which was deemed worthy of stopping the fight at that crucial time for BERTO and giving him the necessary time to recover and win a decision.Seeing him buzzed by DAVID ESTRADA and COLLAZZO makes me believe ,he has SERIOUS chin issues.In THIS division at THIS TIME ,I don't see BERTO seeing the 6 th round against MARGIRITO or PAUL WILLIAMS.I see MOSLEY, CINTRON,and COTTO also beating BERTO by ko and CLOTTEY would also in my opinion be too much for BERTO.The sad part is in a division so stacked with talent where the top 5 or 6 guys are constantly fighting each other you have ANDRE (hit and hold)BERTO who stands on the side lines looking for the weakest opponent that HBO will approve.DELVIN RODRIGUEZ(the guy JESSE FELECIANO ko'd) has been mentioned next for BERTO. I'm sure the REAL ELITES of the welterweight division COTTO,CLOTTEY,MARGIRITO,WILLIAMS view BERTO as CHINNY,PROTECTED fighter who will NEVER get in the ring with them.Remember when BERTO called himself the best in the division and PAUL WILLIAMS issued a challenge to ANDRE ,TEAM BERTO and DIBELLA nearly crapped and said its NOT FAIR that WILLIAMS is a welterweight AND A FIGHT AT THIS time WOULD MAKE no economical sense.I can't remember which boxing site that gave out the year end awards but one of the MOST prominate ones had ANDRE BERTO winning the "EASIEST TITLE RUN OF THE LAST DECADE" award.I have watched boxing for at least 25 years now and I can't remember a title holder having no inclination to uninfy or given pass after pass to fight unknowns when the rest of the division are fighting each othe rto establish whose best.Listen ,say what you want but BERTO is 25 now(not soo young when you think GATTI won his first world title at 23 off of highly regarded TRACY PATTERSON nad JUAN DIAZ won his at 20).Its unprecedented,embarrissing,and not fair that COTTO fights QUINTANA,JUDAH,MOSLEY,MARGIRITO-MARGIRITO fights MARTINEZ,SANTOS(twice),CLOTTEY,WILLIAMS,COTTO,CINTRON twice,I mean even SHANE MOSLEY at 37 stll embarressed COLLAZO(it was a thumb),went toe to toe with an undefeated COTTO and now MARGIRITO,but BERTO keeps getting allowed to fight dead men and now that he FINALLY fought a top ten guy (bottom top ten,but still top ten) in COLLAZO,the whole world had him losing a fight in which he did more HOLDING than HOPKINS,HATTON and KLITSHKO combined.TRULY EMBARRISSING

BALDIMIR in my book,I remember seeing MARGIRITO slightly stunned around round 4 against CLOTTEY and before MOSLEY knocked him out he was dropped a few times.Also remember MARGIRITO doesn't take full on 12 rounds against these big punchers,his fights don't last that long,BALDIMIR usually endures 12.Go watch the SHOTS BALDIMIR took from FORREST for 12,or JUDAH or even the 9 rounds against GATTI.That wasn't the GATTI that fought GOMEZ he was throwing all night against BALDIMIR and HARD and ONE THING GATTI COULD ALWAYS DO WAS PUNCH.FLOYD hurt his hand and was like a fly for 12 against BALDIMIR ,S**t I never even seen BALDIMIR stunned.I hope ARUM really makes MARGIRITO -BALDIMIR it would be a WAR!!!

I was never that impressed with PAVLIK,he took fighters out with an ACCUMULATION of shots rather than having true 1 punch power as him and his team so desperatly want the boxing public to think.Think of how many punches it took him to get rid of MIRANDA as oppose to when ABRAHAM fought MIRANDA the second time.His chin always seemed an area of vulnerability to me and he is VERY PREDICTABLE in that ring.Comes straight in with that same 1-2 over and over,never changing the speed of his punches or his combinations. Marciano ko'ing Walcott in the 13 th has to be top 3.It was Tysons favorite ko,it really was VERY SCARY,Jersey JOe didn't even move for like a minute.I heard that people in the arena at the time said no one took a breadth or their eyes off of Walcott untill he started to move.
