Dawson vs Calzaghe needs to happen, all of my points on Dawson!!!

The Johnson win was far more controversial and Adamek was killing himself to make the weight that's why moved to cruiserweight straight afterwards. I'd still really like to see this fight happen though. Adamek was not killing himself to make weight, its just an excuse from his fans to why he looked do bad. Check out that entire show time card, and you will see that in the beginning before the fight, he stated that he felt very strong and that his strength will be a factor in the fight. Another thing that you should look out for is the fact that he was not tired or exhausted when the fight was over, and a fighter who is weight drained would have been tired or would have looked drained. Not only did he still have his power but he had stamina as well, which is why i don't buy into that excuse. He also stated after the fight that he had no excuses and that Dawson was simply the better fighter. No offense, but i just hate when someone takes away from a victory.

If Dawson ever fought Joe, it would ruin his life. After he lost, the Calzaghe haters would call Chad a bum, the same as they do to poor Jeff Lacy and to Mikkel Kessler. Again, you should accept my bet. 150k plus you have to make a thread saying that Dawson is a great fighter, and i will do the same about Joe if Chad was to lose. I don't care about computer points, i just want to prove to you that Dawson is the best light heavyweight. I'm calling you out on this one.

Joe's an absolutely great fighter. I just think for his every strength Chad Dawson is the man who has the skills to neutralize them. I agree, because unlike Jones, Dawson has the strength, hand speed and power to consistently offset Joe's work rate and without that, Calzaghe is not winning this fight from a tactical standpoint. Dawson is the better outside boxer and is naturally bigger in both height and reach. He also has the stamina to keep up the pace. Joe put on a great performance tonight, however he didn't do anything that Tarver( twice) or Glen Johnson didn't do. They knocked him out cold. The kind of people who are backing Dawson here would probably back Chris Rock to knock Calzaghe out. Joe just doesn't get enough credit in hypothetical match-ups with Democrat-Americans in this forum. I don't see anything delusional about picking a 6'3 natural light heavyweight slick boxer( with power) to beat Calzaghe, and he is also a proven champion on top of it. He has all of the tools and is the only fighter around that i can honestly say would beat Calzaghe. Dawson will not wilt under pressure the way Kessler did. He is actually an all around better fighter than Kessler and is more tested against elite quality opposition, which is why i never compare the two ( like some people on this forum). This fight NEEDS to happen.

I look at Dawson's record and than Calzaghes and i question myself.. Who did Dawson actually beat too be better regarded than Calzaghe? 40 year old Tarver? 39 year old Johnson? And Thomas Adamek.

It normally takes about a few days for them to finally calm down from this win and come back to their senses. I respect people saying that he would beat Chad, but dominate? I really can't see it happening, Chad IMO matches Joe is every category expect for experience. Faster, naturally bigger, a better puncher, more accurate and is a better outside boxer. The only way Joe has of winning is by knockout, and that's not likely considering his little power.

It is a draw, two unbeaten champions with lots of credentials and the fight fans wants this to happen. Also, a 40 year old Johnson and Tarver is a lot better than a 40 year old Jones. dawson beats calzaghe... he's bigger stronger faster and a skilled boxer he can last the 12 rounds we have all seen what calzaghe's strengths are against highly skilled opponents... but those would be nullified by dawson.. speed stamina etc. plus the fact that dawson has fought big punchers (which joe isn't) this fight won't probably won't happen but if it di i'd bet big money

Also, Chad is a lot more elusive than Kessler is, can actually fight going backward and has a whole lot more in his repertoire. He is also much bigger and stronger and is very consistent. Dawson's handspeed isn't as good as an old Roy. Dawson doesn't have the experience, the work rate of Calzaghe. Easy fight to pick, Calzaghe UD. Dawsons handspeed is better then Roys and he throws combinations and punches to the body too. He's bigger, faster, stronger and slicker then Calzaghe. Calzaghe would lose his advantages that he held against the washed up fighters he fought.
