thegreata aka battheman aka battlingnelson fka themanchine is from los angeles.
me and mak have met him. he's a big clippers fan which we always tease him about since we are lakers fans.
i don't know why his handles state he's from finland and denmark though......
I'm really a swede but I must admit that Brian Nielsen is higher on my ATG list than Ingemar Johansson. :)
Going unbeaten for a full career is something that should be amired, that doesn't mean people with loses have acheived less.
Depends who they fight ect.. but in the game where 1 punch can change everything going unbeaten is pretty good.
So did you consider Brian Neilson great at that point?
What about Zolt?
you know i was one of those guys who thought attila was gonna be great.
he was my "michael grant".
btw didn't valuev ktfo attila? lol
if only attila had a better chin and had more desire for the sport.
he was too busy skiing and fucking bikini models in sweden.
Attila came in at a trim and ready 260 lbs against Valuev... He made somewhat of a comeback in 2008.
i fixed it.
i changed it to finnish.
i had the great attila levin in mind and heart and accidently wrote swedish.
Prime Attila Levin would have beaten Valuev. I'm certain that he could have beaten any heavyweight in the world around the time he outboxed Ross Puritty and Ray Austin.
Angelo Dundee would agree.
where does tua rank?
and why did you let people steal your name?
do you seriously have an all-time list?
post it
#9840 Tocker Pudwill
#9841 Steve Frank
#9842 Don Steele
#9843 Dicky Ryan
#9844 Richard Frazier
#9845 Bruce "The Mouse" Strauss
...
#12722 David Tua
Well he did beat everybody they put in front of him.
That seems to be the only criterea to be an ATG in the minds of far too many around here.
It is the only criteria in my mind.
He is all all time great. 49-0 is a hard accomplishment.
dicky ryan was an all-time great.
Dicky Ryan at his best was a durable, clever counter puncher who could make anybody look bad with his style. I rank him #839 on my HW all-time great list and #9843 on my p4p list.
I think he was:
Because I think unbeaten streaks automatically make you an all time great.
So Thomas Damgaard at 49-0 with 37 ko's was a great when Gatti at the end of his carrear ko'd him or the Branco(undefeated)that Gatti fought was an ALL TIME GREAT.
Nielsen was really 62-0. The loss to Dicky Ryan shouldn't count.
He had wins over prime Larry Holmes, Tim Witherspoon, Tony Tubbs, Orlin Norris, Mike Hunter, Jeremy Williams, Peter McNeeley, Ross Puritty, Dicky Ryan, Crawford Grimsley...
