Just saw it on ESPN thats crazy I never thought he would really get jail time he is gonna appel it so its not set in stone till 1/6/12 who knows whats gonna happen
Yeah, but if you take very talented fighters away it is going to be even worse, isn't it? Bad - good = very bad.
For all people's complaining about the hw division, and I think its domination by two lighter-skinned brothers is the reason for much of it, I think the division had equally weak periods (particularly the first half of the 80s).
In any event, I'd say the main contenders following the K's retirements will be David Price, Helenius, Arreola, possibly Wilder, possibly Richard Towers, and possibly Edmund Gerber.
Chambers, Povetkin, Perez, Boystov, and Solis are all very good fighters, but would probably be better suited to cruiserweight because the hw division is being inundated with giants.
Im not so sure its a white thing as I am Italian I just think there boaring fighters that will only fight in there area of the world witch I dont think is right but who am I and as for the first half of the 80s ok ill give you that but I cant remember watching a good HW fight in the last decade or so im sure you can come up with one or two but the HW are just irrelivent...
See...ive said before that when the brothers decide to hang everything up, the Heavyweight division will be very poor for talent but these are the following that i think will be very notable:
Seth Mitchell
Deontay Wilder (suspect chin imo)
Robert Helenius
? Glazkov (cant remember his first name)
Im rather hoping that Britain's Anthony Joshua will turn pro after the Olympics because i think he has something. Beats the current reigning Olympic Champion and loses via 1 point in the world amateur finals to the home town guy if i remember....he wasnt supposed to be in the team either.
...I can only think of those guys which is scary.....not alot of talent in the division.
What do you call it now this has to be the worse the HW division has ever been how much worse can it get?:boxing:
If they stood up with the boxer. Boxer wins easy.
That is not the case by any means! and just because JDS won by punch dont get it confused Overeem is gonna walk through him his BJJ is off the hook too...
Dana White must be pissed! lmao
Although I even bet against Dos Santos, I'm glad he won, a guy with a boxing background is on top of the MMA world right now.
Good thing i bet JDS and PAC looks like imma be 2-0 tonight lol
this is why mma is gaining lots of momentum. The best are fighting the best and most of the fights are entertaining with a good undercard. Something boxing is lacking more and more(apart from gb making decent undercards).
P.s....this is about fighting sports in the u.s.
very true its a shame too boxing was the first thing most of us started with lets just hope 2012 is better
are you serious the dream team from 82 wold dominate todays champs sorry to say these guys for the most part are soft pre madonas who rather count money then get into a war and fight against the best in the world...
I know in the long term lewis became a better "boxer" but do you really think when tyson was on he rampage while d'amato still had a leash on him lewis couldve really won that fight, imo no way!
Both fights were great beat downs all i can think about is how he stayed in so long dam... Buti think mag did torture him worse in a shorter amount of time gotta give him credit for that!
He has 1 KO since 2003, and that was against a complete 12-5 bum.
The chances of Fat Tony KO'ing Lebedev is the same as me banging Amanda Knox tonight
WELL LET ME KNOW HOW THAT GOES TONIGHT IM JEALOUS :hitit:
its kinda stupid but hasnt seem to be a big deal havent heard a lot on it and i think his legacy is already what it is... cant get better or worst now a days he washed up anyway. cant believe gotta see him on tuf11 what a shame
Finally some credit for my man big tone!!! I think what he did in the game was of the hook dude is a beast... Wish there was another up and coming like him. This guy feared no one and was down for what ever where ever this was no drama in his game!!!
Well i just take it that your board tonite and still hung over from New Years and thats ok i will let it slide but just for the record you couldn't those two in the same sentence as Rock or tyson for that matter if made a list of real top HW they wouldn't even be in the discussion... well not top 5 or 10!!! within 15 though I'll give them that
This is funny i was just saying the same thing to a friend i we just watched mike fight 11 fights in 1985 with all 11 KO's witch is crazy you would never see anything even close to that now a days!!!
no doubt this would have been great a few yrs ago but sugar is what 38 now so i dont know how he will be lets see how he does vs berto then talk about it...
im Italian and active had to be PACMAN even though its tough to be fan right now... And i like to watch my man paulie malignaggi kind of a goof but has talant for days... On that note R.I.P Aturo Gatti that man was a warrior
i dont understand how anyone could even think these two are worth talking about the only reason they are even HW chapms is cause how bad the HW division is now a days i mean look even evander is taking another fight at 107 yrs old com on!!!
Well also i think that they dont as much attention because the majority of people wanna see big punches and KO's you dont get to that a lot with the smaller guys they through a 1000 punches and it goes to a decision... I think they are fun to watch and should get more attention but thats just how it is....
