He couldn't take any shots off me. You know why? Because I've met him and I'd never even attempt to hit that big bastard!
Is an approachable guy that likes talking with fans or is he a grumpy ass? I wouldn't try hitting either, quick shin kick maybe.
Just kidding.
Is'nt this said just about everytime someone wins a fight, it is always "this guy is going to whoop that guy's ass" and when that does'nt happen it's "well, yeah but if he fights so-and-so, he would get sparked"
My parents used to run a bar and grill and I remember them getting Tyson fights in the late 80s,(88-89). But flipping through channels one night I watched the Hamed vs Kelly fight in 97 and was hooked ever since.
Sugar Ray Robinson is, IMO, the best all around boxer to date. However, best defensive fighter is none other Then Pac-Man.,I love the way he blocks hooks and uppercuts with his face.
I never said he beat anyone who was great. I said he fought the best availble competition at the time he fought (Pre Douglas). Even after Douglas he fought some decent comp. up until he went the Indiana Youth Center,(not what I would call prison). I think Lewis gets a little too much credit for his win over Tyson. Do you think that Lewis would have done that to a Pre-Douglas Tyson? I can't say either way.
People should not be so sure That Kostya will win so easily. I seem to remeber a nasty little uppercut Zab landed on him that had him doing a nice little backwards two step of his own.
I do not understand why it is so hard to let Tyson go. After his last fight he said his heart is not in it anymore, he doesn't want to embarres the sport anymore. And stuff like that. He does not want to train or fight anymore. We have had heard all the same bullshit time and time again, "Iv'e trained my hardest in years, I've never felt better", all of this just to go out and quit. A true champ or someone who wants to be a champ will train hard for every fight, not just believe that they will end matters in two rounds. And they train hard no matter who the opponent is. Mike Tyson is DONE, and this is coming from a Tyson fan, but there comes a time when a fan has to realize that it is over.
Come on now, this is the Holy Warrior we are talking about here, the only gameplan he needs is to believe in god and himself and he will take good old Fast Fres in no time.
Wishful thinking.......that has'nt worked in a while.Hell the only wins he has had in years was a wierd stoppage with Rahman and that shit some call a fight with Ruiz.He is and has been done for many years now.
Yeah I know, I just wish the old bat would realize what 99% of the fans do.
I like it when ESPN Classic takes that shit back to the 40s, 50s, and 60s. I am talking SRR, Graziano-Zale, Marciano, Louis, Dempsey and Pep type stuff baby.
Its nice but thats ALL they show. They never show anything from the 90s unless it was on fnf. I want to see some old De La Hoya fights, some sweet pea fights, Tito, Mosely, etc.
True, but it does not bother that much because I have most of those fights on tape, luckily.
Oh yeah, Liston could have won olympic gold with that dive job, just joking.
I had never paid that much attention to that shot before, but in the video by Asian it looks like Liston's head gets rocked pretty good, hard enough for a KO, I am not sure of that.
I don't get ESPNC any more
damn the cable network :nonono:
Damn it, I don't either since I got married and went back to school(no more extra scratch for shit like cable)
I think that it was for one year. If I remember right the suspension goes for most states. usually if one state hands down a suspension most will hold to it as well.
I think it is hard to question Winky Wright he is almost flawless.........Little power but nobody can beat him.........
What are you talking about, didn't Vargas whoop that ass?
Hee-Hee, I agree with your post.
If Judah did not beat Mayweather, then Margarito won't. To beat floyd you need speed, Margarito is more of a straight ahead brawler with a highpunch output much like old Baldy. We all know how that turned out.
