Ryan has speed and timing , thats the reason he destroyed Devin
That is a better win than teo
Of fact, Ryan has better chances against movers than fights against boxer punchers or sluggers with great power
Ryan has the range, speed and timing and is a dangerous fight for Shakur
Teo has a T rex arms
Both Ryan and Teo have short arms and a wide back. Ryan needs to tuck his chin and throw the kitchen sink all night, and he will win. For him to approach Shakur fight like a spar, is a losing strategy 10 out 10 times.
Canelo could hardly make it competitive. And tbh, he's never had the heart to put his head down and swarm like a Maidna or Chavez. Crawford could have stopped him imo
Foreman stops him. I mean c'mon.. I don't rate Byrd higher then prime Norton or Frazier. Styles make fights and that mummy style Byrd has will leave him open for devastating punches. Sure Foreman has the mummy style too but he has an amazing chin so..
Who is this guy Francois Botha? :lol1:
Your kidding right haha? He was decent back in the late 90's but Tyson ended up icing him in his post prison career
This is a fight that makes since for both guys. I'm honestly tired of seeing Manny continue to try and compete with full blown welterweights. Pacquiao, while he has great power and probably the strongest legs at 147, should be fighting at 140.
What makes sense about this is Davis fighting a bigger and very dangerous guy who could boost his profile more than anyone else. For any welterweight to beat Pacman right now would not be a passing of the torch type of scenario. Say Thurman, Spence or even Crawford beats Manny.. I don't give them huge props.
Now if Davis were to beat the similar sized Pacquiao, I'd say wow, this guy is something else. Comparable to Pac beating Oscar, Floyd beating Chico, Toney beating Holyfield or Cotto beating Sergio. It was never that great at all when Canelo beat Shane, Floyd beat Marquez or when Kovalev beat Hopkins.
most will not agree but i say mayweather sr.. broner needs someone who is not gonna put up with his shiiet and that's sr. right there!
broner's past and current trainers are too scared to tell him how it is. even in the press conference leading up to the fight when broner snapped at Al berstein, you can tell that his trainer wasnt with that but the trainer didnt wanna say anything in fear of having a fall out with broner.
even after the fight with manny and broner was acting a fool, his whole camp wasnt behind him but none of them wanted to speak up either for the simple fact of getting dropped by broner from the team. floyd mayweather sr will not be like that at all! mayweather sr. has seen it and done it so he's not gonna be a puppet to broner like these other guys.
Imo Floyd Sr is the last guy who should train Broner. I don't even think he's that great of a trainer. Floyd Jr is great because he has a very VERY strong drive as a professional. Sr never seemed on point and as competitively aware as Jr in a fight. Roach seems to have regressed too with coaching fighters midfight. Just looking at how disastrous him training Hatton was (and sure Hatton was a headcase at that point) I don't think it'd be a good fit for someone who lacks drive like Broner.
Not if he keeps that useless guy he calls a trainer in his corner. Midway through the fight last night he told Wilder he was WINNING. If that isn't a disservice to Wilder as a professional than idk what is. Wilder is what you call a heavy handed solid guy. He isn't built to throw a lot of lightning fast snapping punches. It comes down to bone density. If I were him I'd slow way down, focus on deflecting and nullifying an offense like Furys, before he starts looking for a big shot. His arms looked heavy last night and he looked very tired.
Don't get me wrong I got the douche chills when they panned to a expressionless poker faced Floyd post fight. I mean ffs even at he and Pacs advanced age he's playing it off like everyone is just itching to fork over $ to see him run. That being said I highly doubt he was jealous of a UD over AB
I have a better question. How influential is this forum? Do you think people from Eddie Hearn and De la Hoya to like Malignaggi and Bradley frequent these discussions?
I liked his style and actually thought, wow this Adam Booth guy has really cultivated a very effective style; fleeted footed, pawing jab, back hand always ****ed for an over hand right.
The style was great so as long as Haye could land his overhand right. It ended up being a huge detriment and made an ageing Haye very vulnerable. I was amazed Haye was able to fold Chisora with his left hand because other than that it wasn't very dangerous. Haye in his prime was one of my favorite fighters but after Wlad, he failed to improve and regressed quickly. I think when he ducked Fury was when it was over.
People love getting their rose tinted glasses out.
You see casuals saying Tyson could beat Joshua, Wilder, Fury in one round or even that he could beat them TODAY.
same level of ridiculous to the crew saying Johnson or Dempsey would be champ today
These guys wouldn't beat a Usyk who was observing the cruiserweight limit, in fact they'd get stood on their heads.
Didn't Shawn Porter beat Usyk in the amateurs lmao?
Golovkin as he's aged has evolved into a more tactician and trap setter. His speed and reflexes have taken a bad turn. He used to be able to come forward and sling hooks at people. Anymore, he's just focusing on perfect timing to land quality shots.. which doesn't work well with an elite competitor like Canelo because he can subtly mess up whatever momentum or plan GGG is thinking through
Did size really play a factor in that fight? It wasn't like Floyd was leaning on JMM or shoving him around the ring.
You also can't say that JMM hit him but couldn't seem to hurt him...he could barely even land anything.
I think he was referring to draining Canelo two extra lbs...
I like Roy but his chin was exposed to be China canelo behind on the cards catches him and flattens him.
Hah in your dreams. Just like how Canelo got rocked to his boots by Mathew Hatton ffs
Not only did he not land one single punch but alvaroid had a connection rate of 100% too. I don’t even know why they bothered to fight
Actualy, Canelo was only throwing 50% power. Not only is he better than every boxer but he is also smarter, leaving a wounded Golovkin for a 3rd installment. 4-D chess, easy money.
If he didn't lose to Floyd I'd probably hate him personally. #TBE
Not sure what or why you think he’s stronger
Really? Shorter than 5'7? Are you sure it just didn't seem it since he has these low shoulders with a long neck and big head?
Stronger? yes. Hatton beat Paulie down and his shots were heavy. I don't think Marquez has the legs or size to pack the same kind of power.
Stop faking the funk we all know why people hate the PBC. Al Haymon was getting tons of hate before there was ever a Tank Davis, Charlo Brother, Wilder, and Spence Jr.
Yeah because he had Floyd "Mr. Free Agent" Mayweather who would have nothing to do with the p4p king Pacquiao.
Before Spence vs Garcia, that fomoid b!tch reporter for PBC pressed Spence about rumors of "not sleeping" and looking "exhausted/drained".. even though she is cringe af I thought she was on to something. I figured the rumors were that Spence was a manic type that anxiously stayed up all night over thinking his craft and opponent. Almost a little bit of Floyd Mayweather; how he used to run at 2am for no real practical reason.
Now I realize she was eluding to he's an alcoholic partying all the time. It's as clear as day. The guy has a SERIOUS problem.
People forgot how strong hatton was in his prime lol it was also evident in the floyd fight where he was the smaller fighter.
If baby bull diaz managed to do some damage to marquez at 135 then prime hatton wrestles him to death at 140. That is just a styllistic nightmare for marquez. He will be outmuscled, and wouldn’t be given a room to breath.
Marquez is good when you give him space for his counters that is why pac fighting him in and out play to his strengths.
Baby bulled diaz mauled him and had success but diaz is just not that strong a puncher.
Hatton would dismantle chubby mikey too. Not everyone would have handled hatton like prime floyd did. Not everyone could fight inside and wrestle back against hatton. From what im seeing today from mikey im sure hatton wrestles him to submission.
Same will happen to marquez.
I think porter too can beat marquez and mikey. With his style similar to hatton’s wrestling.
Finally someone mentions the Diaz fight. Juan Diaz has a similar high intensity, left and right hook dominated style. His aggressive in fighting style gave Marquez a lot of problems. Hatton imo is a lot more size, power, dynamism when compared with Diaz. If Marquez beats Hatton, it would be nothing like how Floyd beat him. Floyd was coordinated enough and barely fast enough to establish enough distance to catch him coming inside, with his 72 in reach. I also don't think Marquez will fair well with a stonger, more physical brawler. Didn't Hatton stop Paulie? That was something Cotto couldn't do..
Nope
Hatton would lose
I think he would probably get ko’d
To small , very limited when he stepped up imo
He's bigger and stronger than Marquez. Not to mention his feet are close to the speed of Pac
This is a hard style match up for Fury judging by how much trouble Otto gave him. This current version of Fury is capable of stopping him though. If he fights on the back foot this will look like Toney vs Jirov and I could see Usyk being very competitive. Usyk has great movement but he's a little too stiff and upright like Wlad which will give Fury a lot of opportunity
I've had a few hours sleep, and this chit is hilarious. Eddie Hearn should put a video out of him training AJ like this...
That would be so funny hahahaha!
I can just picture Eddie with a body protector over his suit, teaching AJ every step of the way 😂
Wilder: *Can barely stand, in a shell, getting obliterated in the corner by Fury*
Jay Deas: "Great job D!" "Setting up that right hand like we taught!"
