What’s the boss man bud going to do next ? Call it a day ? I think he will have a couple of more, he looked so good. He talked about 160, Who’s he going to fight there, wouldn’t think it would be Janibek..Hard to find a big name for him after this… will he just chase titles, tough one. Maybe a Charlo.
The irony of fans wanting the winner to retire but the loser should not. If anyone should retire it should be Canelo.
It looked like hot garbage in there on Saturday nigh; Old and slow. He even admitted himself that his body can no longer do what it used to do.
So how come none of you guys are calling for his retirement? He has fought over five hundred rounds and has been fighting professionally now for over twenty years.
Does this has anything to do envy and jealousy of Bud’s success?
You must be really depressed to have interpreted my innocuous post in such a negative way. I'm sorry you're so unhappy but I can't help you much with that.
If it was up to me he would retire - perfect way to go out. But we know fighters are not built that way, so he'll at least wait and see what offers come in. I don't see the 160lb fights as particularly appealing. Will Turki make an offer for him to defend against Sheeraz?

Bud could drop back down to 160. Do whatever he wants at 160, whether it's only 1 fight, or become undisputed, up to him. Should fight david benavides the guy Nelo dodged. That would be a statement. Then Nel o rematch too and then retire
In my opinion? If Terrence Crawford sticks around at 168 pounds 'there is a high possibility, that a fighter who is just super strong, durable and determined could beat him. Even though skill for skill Crawford may be better than most fighters at 168 pounds, he has just beat a version of Canelo Alvarez who's endurance in my opinion appeared worst than ever. This is the first time in the aftermath of a fight, where I have seen Canelo Alvarez reference his own performance very critically. By stating that, he tried to pick up the pace vs Crawford but was unable to achieve that'.
Before this fight, or many months ago when it was being speculated. I liked the idea of Terrence Crawford fighting at 160 pounds vs ether of the champions in those divisions. And if Chris Eubank Junior wins his second fight and rematch vs Conor Benn II, there is another potential mega fight for Terrence Crawford'.
Note: Canelo Alvarez has been a great champion, and influence in the game 'and I think because he has been a champion for such a long time. If Alvarez wants the rematch vs Crawford II, then he deserves a chance to win his titles back. Throughout the history of boxing, no great champions have just disappeared after one loss. Many have all ether be given the opportunity to win their titles back, or they have pursued rematches'.
Canelo Alvarez was well beaten by Terrence Crawford, but he was not beaten up or at any point on the verge of being stopped 'and in my opinion he was pushing Terrence Crawford during the rounds to a certain extent'.
To conclude: Terrence Crawford has won many titles in his career, but he is still not a bigger or more influential fighter than Canelo Alvarez 'this fight was Crawford's first real mega fight. Therefore I don't really think even in his position now? Crawford has the same influence on the game like Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua or Canelo Alvarez'.
If Terrence Crawford continues to fight on, a rematch vs Canelo Alvarez II or a title fight at 160 pounds 'are great moves for him. And they are all winnable fights, for him which can potentially happen in the future' etc.
Very true, a title at 160 is on the record books forever. Though looking at the fights at 160 it would be a pretty underwhelming event.
That's why I want to see Janibek vs Adames first. Let the winner hopefully get a little hype behind them. And let Crawford give Lara his retirement payday on the same card, then do winner vs winner.
Crawford is very cognizant of his own legacy and history. I think a fight at 160 appeals to him, and it's a hill he hasn't climbed yet.
He's already one of just six men to be a 5 division world titlist, but the list of 6 division titlists right now is just Manny and Oscar.

move up to 175 and fight bivol or benavidez
retire
do exhibition fights
theres nobody from 147 to 160 that would move the needle
or they can cash out with a canelo rematch, easy win
If he picks up a belt at 160 he's just the third six division world titlist in history after Manny and Oscar.
If he picks up a lineal title at 160 he's the only man in the history of the sport with a universally recognized lineal claim in 5 divisions (Pac's lineal claim at 147 is disputed).
If he picks up the undisputed title at 160 he's the only man in the history of the sport with undisputed status in 4 weights
Regardless of the opponents, there is still a big possible expansion of his legacy at 160.
As of now he's:
One of 6 five division world titlists (Hearns, Leonard, De La Hoya, Floyd, Manny, Crawford)
One of 3 four division lineal champions (Floyd, Manny, Crawford)
One of 5 three division undisputed champs (Fitzsimmons, Ross, Canzoneri, Armstrong, Crawford) and the only in the WBA/WBC era
It would only take two fights if Turki gets behind the idea. Fight one of the belt holders, match the other two together on the undercard, winner vs winner and 160 is sorted out.

I reckon he's a bit too serious to entertain a freak show fight with Paul or Floyd. Even Manny.
Canelo again makes sense. Other than that there's no-one within range that's worth fighting for him.
Fighting Bivol might be a bridge too far. Bivol is a true light heavyweight and taller /longer. I just wonder whether he might be considering it though. It's probably the only remotely possible fight that enhances his legacy.
Tank isn't going to come up in weight for them to meet. Won't happen. And I'm not sure it does much for Bud anyway - he'd be unbackable as a favourite.

If he can get The Bivol/Bieterbiev winner at 168 for all the belts in both SMW and LHW divisions he might do that.
Not financial sense, which was the point of my post.
The only financial gains are one of the 3 fights I listed.

Hopefully he gets away from SNAC. Terrible look.
Bud Crawford >> SNAC Crawford.
I'm an actual fan of his, I didn't arrive yesterday, so I feel obliged to bring this up. I can imagine if Floyd was working with Conte, it wouldn't be all this flowery stuff.
So yeah
Is Tank still retired lol? He doesn't deserve it but I think that's a good fight for both of them
Would love to see Bud beat the brakes off Wahid. But we all know lil Wahid is a certified b!tch
Floyd is almost 50. No way he comes back to fight Bud.
I think fighting Benn or/and Eubank jr. at 160 would make sense.
