I don't think so. I think Tank acted like a bitch for the last minute drop in catch weight and the rehydration clause. I hope Garcia knocks him senseless
Why ask GGG to go up or down in weight class? If Cotto (who was a great fighter as a welterweight before the cement glove incident) doesn't want to fight GGG he should give up his middleweight title. Chavez Jr didn't want GGG even though his promoter did. I agree he's untested because no one wants to fight him.
Ward's had two stoppage in his last 9 wins. He's a better boxer than Kovalev, but he's no Money Mayweather. Given that, he's moving up in weight class against a world class light heavyweight boxer/puncher and his last name fight was in 2012 against a very good Chad Dawson, I stand by my pick of Kovalev by KO.
OP should've been aborted.
Agree. Duran is one of the greatest lightweights that ever lived. When he went up in weight like many great fighters, his punch wasn't the same.
Cotto is a hall of fame boxer. Canelo has lost every big fight he's been in. Cotto should be fighting at 147. If Cotto wins, Canelo should retire and go into acting.
Cunningham knocked Fury down and almost out. A stiff breeze will put Fury on the floor never mind Klitschko, probably Wilder too the only difference is Wilder has a punch.
Ruslan should've beat Algieri. Either his corner totally sucks or he didn't listen. After the first knockdown, he should've focused on the body (jabs to the chest, left hooks to the liver, rights to the side and jabbed to the head. He went total head hunting and got schooled. I blame his corner first and then him. He should've known better.
Ward will be broken after his fight with Kovalev unless the ref allows him to hold incessantly. GGG will be able to beat him at 168 after the fight but could make him fight at 164 since Ward's draw will be minimal after his loss. Canelo/GGG would be a good fight for about rounds until GGG wears him down with body shots, then Canelo loses by TKO in the 8th. I think the GGG / Jacobs fight is the best match right now of the three of them.
I love Cotto as a fighter, but he should go down to 154, fight Canelo and give up his middleweight title or fight GGG. He's a hall of famer, but ducking GGG and fighting 2nd tier middleweight fighters will only tarnish his career. I think he can beat Canelo, but I may be wrong. GGG is a middleweight, if Ward wants to fight him, he can loose 8 pounds.
GGG Jacobs should be a good fight. GGG would destroy Canelo. Canelo's too small and he knows it. Pressuring Canelo to fight GGG is like pressuring GGG to fight Ward or Kovalev, there are weight classes for a reason
I love Cotto, imho he's a hall of fame boxer, great accomplishments, stunted by doctored gloves in the first Margarito fight, yet he should turn in his middleweight crown or fight GGG. If he beats Canelo, he should move down to 154 if he wants to keep fighting and give GGG his unified crown.
I think Wilder knocks out Stiverne if he fights smart. Unfortunately I don't think he is. He should keep Stiverne at long range and tie him up (even though I hate holding) every time Stiverne gets in close. If he does that he'll knock Stiverne out. If he doesn't I think Stiverne will get Wilder out in the later rounds.
