Good interview I just viewed it. I don't know why people say that Rigo has "no personality," I think he has a lot of charisma and he's quite funny/witty. It would definitely benefit his career to learn some English so the American audience can connect with him better.
I've always wondered this myself. The people that say he doesn't have a personality don't speak Spanish and certainly don't understand his Cuban slang.
The Rigo-Agbeko post fight interview was great. He has a couple Seckbach videos that are great and so many more. He has a personality, it's just that he doesn't get interviewed a lot and I blame him and his management for that. He needs to get out more. Do things that are news worthy.
Caribe Promotions and Rigondeaux have said on Twitter that they are ready to fight Cruz on the Mayhem card. Rigo is training just incase he is called.
I just saw a tweet on Twitter that Cruz may fight Shingo Wake. Anyone heard that?
Although I don't think much of Donaire's resume, I do feel he deserves to be HOF. I believe he benefited from weak divisions and champs. Either way, he fought the champs and beat them.
HOF, Yes.
ATG, No.
He hasn't retired so maybe he can still achieve ATG status.
Seen this, great footwork
I wouldn't say he's better defensively though, Floyd's never been legitimately knocked down
The KD against Zab was legitmate, just not official.
Rigondeaux has never been rocked or forced to bleed.
Not being KD doesnt mean you have good defense. Does Rios have good defense? Just has a good chin.
That's a pretty bad photoshop. No property management company will allow a company to use different font case for the sign. If you take a very close look, you'll also notice that the size of Haymon Boxing a little bit bigger.
Espinoza has already said he would air Rigondeaux fights so it's just up to promoters and Leo'so team.
I wish the interviewer asked what an acceptable amount would be. if $1 million is not enough, what is?
Just 4 pounds...

Fight night weight is what is important. Look at the difference 4 pounds turns into.
Rigo fan, but why isn't he willing to move up just four pounds to fight the featherweights?
Walters would fight him, guaranteed.
But Rigo refuses to entertain the idea?
Isn't that what all pound for pound greats do? Pacquiao, Mayweather? Sometimes you gotta move up in weight and go after the biggest baddest m-****er there s.
I believe that Floyd can stop anybody. Any fighter can stop another fighter but it takes a combination of several things. Malignaggi is a good example. He's notoriously known for not being a power puncher but he hit Diaz with a nice shot that stunned Diaz. It wasnt only power that caused that. Even Paulie was surprised.
I don't think Floyd will catch Cotto with one punch that will ko him. If Floyd stops him, it will be from an accumulation of punches and the bleeding gets to the point where the fight is stopped.
not sure if its been posted or not..
looks interesting..and honestly a breath of fresh air to get an in depth look!

someone embed..Im on my phone!
i think the real question is where does Donaire drop to
That is the question that I would like answered. How far does someone drop in rankings after being defeated by someone that "lacks pro experience and is not on my level"?
Great fight I can't wait. May the best man win.
If a KO is all that counts for the bonus, I think Doaire is more likely to win it. If a TKO counts, Rigo got this.
I wish I had enough points to bet. I will put my all points to someone's $2 mill that Rigo wins.
Yeah. CBS owns Showtime so it's good cross promotion.
I'm a Floyd fan but he gives some of the worst interviews. All the times he's been in interviews and in front of the bright lights he still stutters.
They asked if he would fight Guerrero the way he fought Cotto and he said my dad is training me now and he believes in taking less punishment so you can last.
They also asked him about fighting Pacquiao and he said Pacquiao has a lot of hurdles to get over.
How many people showed up to Rigondeaux's debut?? Shiming filled up an entire venue and had potential of having 300 million tv viewers from China. He has already accomplished more in popularity than Rigo, who can't sell a ticket crickets everywhere when he fights.
Your right but it's not a fair comparison. Zou fought in his home country and Bob put a lot f money into the promotion. If Cuba opened up and even allowed pro boxng, relative to the population in China, Rigo's pro debut would have been just as successful.
I thought Zou was pretty good. Fast and you can tell he's got skills. Do I think he can win a major world title in 8 fights, not sure and he doesn't have much time to do it as he is already over 30.
I'd like to see him 1 more time. He seemed a bit too excited for the debut. I'd like to see he when he settles down.
Lol I try to go to all fights, especially big match ups around the area. What a horrific undercard tho :nonono:
I think the undercard is horrible because they want gauge how many viewers Donaire can pull in without a solid undercard supporting the main event.
The guys at my barber shop are all saying Donaire is going to win except for 1 barber that boxed as an amateur. I've been going at it with them for several weeks now but haven't been shaken in my belief that Rigo will win.
I see a big upset but may the best man win.
I could be wrong but I think the fighters tell the HBO crew how they want their name pronounced.
Yep. HBO crew mentioned so during the Kennedy or Marroquin fight that Rigo wants it pronounced as - Re Gone D Ow
Mayweather in dos rounds! we'll get to hear him on 30 days till may and see if he really is quite
Lol! Hilarious. Many of your posts start with somebody in "dos rounds". Funny stuff.
