Angel Garcia Disses Rigondeaux and Questions His Real Age

Starting towards the end of the interview @ 3:00 Angel Garcia talks about the upcoming Donaire-Rigondeaux fight. He says Rigondeaux looks old and we don't know his real age because they lie about peoples ages in Cuba. He also questions why the 8-0 Rigondeaux at the time was given a title shot against Rico Ramos. Rico Ramos is an American of Puerto Rico descent so maybe Angel is still upset that Rigondeaux KO'ed his countryman in Ramos. Angel Garcia from past interviews was jealous that Nonito Donaire got Fighter of the Year over Danny Garcia, so he's probably trying to downplay Rigondeaux. Does everybody here think Rigondeaux is his real age or that he might be lying like what Angel Garcia seems to think?

Hes mad the guy got a title shot for his 8th fight because he somehow thinks he didnt deserve it, yet he won by KO so he obviously was good enough to fight for the title...... WTF dude is just hating

Angel is funny but ignorant. He thinks there's some sort of conspiracy against american fighters, someone needs to tell him how much Berto was getting paid to fight lower tier fighters, or the fact that he was allowed to fight 6 months after testing positive for PED. Same thing for Peterson, and he was allowed to keep his title. Great points.

I like Angel and I thought it was a nicce inteereview. People love to pull out all the negative things he says but he's very informative. Exactly!!! I remember a thread on here about a few months ago or so about why B.Hop looks younger than Rigo....and in the thread dudes were saying that Rigo looks old....Angel is a dude that ppl have put under the PUBLIC microscope...every lil' thing he says will be blown up

Garcia really has some kind of a mental issue, not handicapped but he is like ADHD and hyperactive. If I were him, I'd be careful with all that talking because if lil Danny boy gets taken apart by Zab, he is going to have the old foot in mouth syndrome going on there.

why is angel dissing rigo? what happened to all the "latin americans need to be united and support each other" stuff he was yelling about before? lol ... In some videos he talks about Latin Pride but in other videos he disses other Latinos. I guess he only talks highly of other Latin countries when it benefits him and his son.

He was never funny to me, angel seems like he's the type that runs his mouth but acts clueless when he gets confronted like he wasnt talking shiietz or anything. Well he was ready to get it on with Judah but has held back. Angel would be the type of guy that would be crazy enough to fight somebody younger and stronger than him.

I too find it funny some pansie folks on here get all bent out of shape every time Angel talks. Am a Rigo fan and I thought Angel was funny and was simply expressing his opinion. Dude is entertaining and some of his points are solid. Yeah I take every he says with a grain of salt but Angel always says the truth hurts and the past will always come back to haunt you. Well some of the stuff he's saying right now will haunt him in the future and everytime he speaks the more crazy he gets. I do find him highly entertaining.

Rigo has nothing to do with his fighter. Why does he try to trash talk him? If Rigo is much older than he says that just makes his acomplishments even more impressive. He did not deserve a title shot after only 8 fights but he won the title and now he is the champ. Garcia can't say he he is not good enough to be the champ because he beat the champ. Yea I thought Latinos get along, especially Carribean Latinos but I guess not.

Who cares if he is lying anyway? Boxers are only classified by weight and age is irrelevant. Yeah that's truth and Rigondeaux is in his prime right now. He's just jealous Donaire won Fighter of the year and his son didn't.
