Wow! IDK anything bigger than the Final 4 in the US besides the Super Bowl. They just had Floyd up there on the panel with Greg Gumbel, Barkley, and the boys in between the 2 semi final games. Thats big exposure.
I missed the begining but I saw where they asked him how long he was planning to keep fighting and he said about 30 more months......lol
He said, "It all depends on the game plan my dad puts together. He is all about hitting and not getting hit and I've been able to survive in this game for 17 years, so I'll do whatever he comes up with'........not verbatim but pretty much the gist.
Looks like the fight will be a boring snooze-fest then.
whenever floyd is doing media for one of his fights people always ask him about other opponents. this means either 1 of 2 things. everyone in the world is out to get floyd and make him look like a ducker or floyd isn't fighting the biggest threats and the fights people actually want to see. hmmm which is it? i know we all wanted to see floyd-guerrero right! am i right people!
meh, it's nothing compared to the exposure of being charged with gun possession at an airport
Guerrero bringing the money in for this one
Lol word! Fck the final four. Guerrero got caught with the hammer in JFK air port.

Good news. If he follows his dad's game plan, he'll beat Guerrero without breaking a sweat. I hope that Floyd Sr will be his main trainer if he plans on fighting Canelo soon.
exactly
I never believed in taking punishment just to entertain "the fans", many of them not even being YOUR fans. These so called fans even have the nerve to laugh once a brawler is knocked out, see pacquiao. So many casuals went turncoat on him. If slugfest isn't a fighter's optimal style, I'm rather he don't do it
His father will try to lay the hammer down and tell him to do sh1t differently if he's not keeping the tightest D.
Yep. I even overlooked Sr being head trainer. I also heard Floyd say hes going go be more active.
best part of the interview. shame only die hard boxing fans are the ones who can understand
Like it or not, the sport is boxing - the art of hitting without getting hit. Everyone likes a "slugfest" but the guys that participate in that kind of fight time and time again get short-lived fame, long-term brain damage, amnesia, loss of motor skills and the fans don't tend to stick around to help you when you are drooling on your shirt collar.
They allllllmost made it through the interview without a obiligatory Pac question. He immediately switched into 3rd person mode to answer lol.... yep Floyd's back
He better get used to it. Not making that fight happen, while not entirely his fault, will dog him for the rest of his life.
Might as well already make it the first line of his bio.
well IDK if this is really the fight to switch up with. The Ghost was strong against Berto but he's still not as strong as Cotto. I think Floyd should be stronger. Not only that but Ive never ever seen Floyd not walk Southpaws down. If he tries to switch up this fight then it could be bad.
Im all for it against the Cotto's & Canelo's of the world but IDK if this is the right time. With that being said, nothing would make me more excited than seeing Floyd possibly being bigger than ever (hoping he comes in at 153 or so) and showing he still has his legs.
If that guy shows up then everyone is in trouble, even at 154
That's pretty interesting.

Yeah. CBS owns Showtime so it's good cross promotion.
I'm a Floyd fan but he gives some of the worst interviews. All the times he's been in interviews and in front of the bright lights he still stutters.
They asked if he would fight Guerrero the way he fought Cotto and he said my dad is training me now and he believes in taking less punishment so you can last.
They also asked him about fighting Pacquiao and he said Pacquiao has a lot of hurdles to get over.
