It is a french name. Even though I don't speak French, I know nobody ever pronounced it right. Everbody says "Rigondiau". Why would even commentators pronounce it in a ridiculous, stupid english way. If I was a commentator, I would make sure I would inform myself how to pronounce that name.
This is how I think it is pronounced correctly (or at least similar):
By the way, as far as French Canadian Boxer David Lemieux is concerned:

people who speak english are used to pronouncing sh#t wrong. we do it in constancy.
our spelling system is all over the place. if you spell a word in spanish it is almost always spelled exactly how it sounds, with the accent on a certain sylable and all.
in english you have to hear the word first. there's just no way to know how to pronounce some words. the result? we butcher words and names, and we don't care about it.
ri - gon - doe.
Can you actually decide how to pronounce your own name though.
I mean if your name is Craig you can't just decide its pronounced kreg.
So just because someone says that's how my name is pronounced doesnt make it right and I will produce it how it's supposed to be.
My names Andrew andI tell people to say my name like Aund-ray-wih. No problems so far.

Craig and Kreg make the exact same sound though.

Not sure if thats right but Ive heard the name so many different ways I'm sure it is close enough.
I speak french everyday and here is the way to pronounce Rigondeaux in french the right way:

Click the little speaker and you will hear it.
However, if Guillerme Rigondeaux wants his name to be pronounced another way than I would be the first the call him the way he wants, to me it's a sign of respect. I think the TS is right about the fact that many english commentators don't make any effort to pronounce names correctly. In hockey they butcher all the french names...
Remember when Pac was just coming up against Ledwaba and Lampley and the gang were pronouncing his name incorrectly ("Pack-kai-o"). Isn't the proper way of pronouncing Donaire's name "Doh-nigh-reh" rather than "Doh-nair"?
