This is a bad match,
I saw Cherifi fight a French title fight not so long back, and he lost to a novice. The guy is SHOT.
Sturm will pummel him until Cherifi quits on his stool.
Bad match.

Oh he's no doubt got a dodgy chin...but he kept getting up.
I never said he was the best, I just said he's entertaining and value for money.
His fight with Cley Bey was a great scrap.

Wright should stay at 154.
Can Tito get down to 154? If he can, there's a good fight right away.
If not, I;d like to see Wright in with Santos and Ouma.
Black
I've always like Etienne. He's always gave value for money (except when getting destroyed by Tyson).
He'll never be a champ, but watching him in a 10 rounder will always be more entertaining that a John Ruiz title fight.
Black
No, Cherifi is not a runner. He'll stand and fight, he just can't get off any more.
Yes, Mezaache, that was the guy. He was a light hitter but a speedy mover wasn't he? Cherifi just trundled around the ring all evening, and finally had him going in the last round before the bell went.
I'd say he was shot. This isn't the guy who outworked Keith Holmes any longer.

I think JM Marquez looks great against the right opponent.
Pacquiao did EXACTLY want Marquez would want an opponent to do...come forward.
Marquez has looked limited when fighting guys who won't lead.
Take for instance the Norwood, Gainer and recent Salido fights. Marquez looked nothing like a p4p'er in those, because they all boxed him.
When he's in with a guy who fights and stays in range, like PAcquiao or Medina, he looks incredible.

C'mon, man...BRUNO?!?!?
But I know what you mean. Standard wise the division is pretty bad...but that doesn't mean it can't be fun if we can get a unified champion and get the right matches on.
I STILL wanna see Klit-Golota, for instance.
And how about Byrd-Toney fir the purists.
And how about Ruiz-Tua 2? COME BACK DAVID! ALL IS FORGIVEN!
Black
What makes you think he's not shot?
I didn't see ANY evidence of him being REMOTELY able to do the stuff he used to, and his chin and punch resistance are GONE (if they weren't there before).
Black
Nah, I don't think Erik'll KO him.
I want Erik to win, but I can't see Morales stopping Barrera.
Especially since MAB looked as sharp as ever against Ayala. I think the Pac thing was an aberration, a bad match up for MAB.
Erik on points...but it'll be close.
Black
MORALES DESTROYS FREITAS.
Erik may not hit as hard as Corrales, but he boxes a lot better and would land a lot more than Diego did.
Freitas wouldn't even get off to a good start like he did against Diego. It would be Morales from the start until a mid to late rounds stoppage.

Usually they only move up in the first place because they got beat and don't want to fight the same guy again.
At least, that's why Mosley and DLH moved up.
Black
No, I'm serious!
John Ruiz is the best heavyweight, and now Roy has lost, Clinton Woods will take over.
(of course it's a joke, bro! English humour...sorry!)

It's a shame our access to the likes of Sahaprom and Wonjongkam is limited to downloading old clips of them.
Us Westerners are naturally going to plump for known quantities and rate PAcquiao as the best. Ring Magazine even rates Marquez above Sahaprom.
I just wish we could get them all together to fight. And get to see it on TV.
Black
Anyone can do it, it's whether they can do it well.
Tyson always seemed athletic and well-coordinated, so I guess if he'd been trained to be a mover, he could have been.
Wouldn't have been quite the same though, would it? Imagine Tyson dancing and jabbing!?!?!?
Black
If there's one thing Bruno could do it was BANG.
But he was intimidated by some fighters, and I think he'd have fought scared against Klit before getting taken out.
Sanders did hit him, but with quick, sharp shots.
Bruno's are the clobbering, ponderous type.
Black
It's always nice to see good guys doing well.
I wish Etienne could have had more success in the ring. Heavyweight boxing needs a character like him. Sadly, he just doesn't have the whiskers for it.
He could still beat a few of the bigger names with his punch and determination though.
