Bernard Hopkins vs. Jeff Lacy...who wins?

Lacy would have no (ZERO) chance Lacy has zero chance against Hopkins anytime before Hopkins 70th birthday. Lacy has shown in recent fights that his power is overrated and that would be his only chance as his skills pale in comparison with Hopkins.

Lacy and Calzaghe would be a better fight.

Hopkins would be too much for Lacy. I think alot of people are overrating Lacy for his win over Vanderpool a guy who stood and traded with him. Lacy looks very ordinary against opponents that move and Hopkins would make this fight look easy.

Lacy has good power, but he isn't experienced enough to beat Hopkins, Lacy has suspect defense. he gets hit way too much to last 12 rounds with hopkins...Lacy has power and decent skills, but he isn't ready for hopkins...Hopkins has fought big punchers like Echols, Allen and Trinidad and they couldn't get him out of there, so why would young lacy??? right , echols hits as hard as Lacy , and Allen is a bull. both never came close to beating hopkins , and never hurt him. and lacy doent handle movement well , i would hopkins late TKO or a 12 rounds beating ala JOppy

Hopkins would box circles around Lacy. A huge factor to this fight would be Hopkins' experience, and dirty antics.

Hopkins by UD...but I'd rather see Hops stay where he is and see Lacy fight Calzaghe. That would be a good fight. Black

I would like to see this fight. I would like to see hopkins fight someone bigger than him. I think though B-hop is to smart and will win by UD

You guys are jumping ahead of yourself. I also am one of the main guys saying that Hopkins has to move up to prove how good he really is, but Lacy is not the fight. If you guys think Lacy has any chance then your crazy. He is way to green. Dont get caught up in his power. I too am a big Lacy fan but I have also seen alot of his fights and I have seen some basic guys give him some problems. He has alot of flaws and terrible defense. He even had alot of trouble in his last fight. Sure he stopped the guy but if you saw it then you know that it was by no means a easy fight. Hopkins has a rock solid chin. No way Lacy would KO him. I would give Calzaghe a much better chance then Lacy. It would be sort of like the Trinidad fight. It will look like a man vs a boy Sorry about that Jack the Rippah. I didnt mean to quote you. I actually think Lacy knocks B-Hop out at 168, Hopkins won't take his power shots well and he won't be able to dance around him, either. Lacy by 8th round KO.

Can Lacy go down to 160? I'd like to see the Executioner move up to 168 and fight Left Hook. Can he still be dominant up there?

Can Lacy go down to 160? No, he barely makes 168 now. He'll probably be up at 175 in two years.

B-Hop has been fighting smaller guys and fighters moving up in weight, and there's no disputing that he's the best in his weight class, so for once I'd like to see him moving up and fight someone his size, see what happens.

I want to see Hopkins in with some big fighters too. I hope Taylor gets to the top and that fight happens. And I would love to see how Hopkins can handle the weight move up to 168 or 175. He hasn't budged out his weight class for so long...that would be a true challenge.

First off, I don't see why Hopkins would take this fight. He'd have to gain weight, and at his age, it would be hard on his body. Also, Lacy isn't a big name yet, so money won't be peak. Hopkins wants big fights to end his career, not up-and-commers. Plus Lacy's a train and could catch Hopkins early because he takes some time to warm up; De la Hoya took early rounds because of this. I agree that this fight would be high risk for Bernard with little reward due to Lacy's youth and the chance of it coming off is not good. However what does he do next? Lets say Tito is on a two year plan and wants to wait to get Hopkins as an old man. What does NArd do for two years? Fight shithead number 1 contenders? Fight names below the middleweight division? I want to see NArd in with Tito or some new blood-ie Lacy or Taylor-Or get serious and fight Tarver! I have said this in the past, if Glenn Johnson can get past Antonio, Hopkins may jump at the chance to become the 175 king, he will not do so if Tarver wins.
