1) They now find it acceptable to take low risk high reward fights instead of high risk low reward fight.
2)They find it acceptable to even the playing field by taking away some of a fighters strength.
3)Here is the biggie, Once it is considered common knowledge that pac would beat a fighter then pac does not need to fight that fighter. Mayweather was criticized for winning all fantasy fights. However Pac would definitely beat berto, Bradley, Alexander and Marquez a third time so he doesn't need to fight them.
But PBF is a ducker because his fan's say he would easily beat Margarito and Cotto. Two fights that PBF would have to deal with his nemesis Arum to make.
However, except for Marquez(on account of golden boy who even said they are willing to step aside) All those fights could easily be made because everybody should bow to Pac in negotiations(Except for PBF of course).

Mayweather has 3 options to deal with the 1400 punches scenario:
1)Counter him in the middle of his combination to make him hesitant and end up throwing less punches like JMM did in two fights.
2)Move around like Cotto did in the second half of the fight where Manny was getting fustrated because of his inability to cut off the ring. Only difference will be Floyds ability to fight of the back foot.
3)Use the High Guard defense like Clottey did and throw in some head movement. Please Don't tell me Manny will Kill floyd if he uses it because he could not kill Clottey when he used and and don't forget that his connect percentage was shyt in that fight. All of a sudden he has the ability to do to Floyd what he could not do to Clottey.
BTW, I am not stating that Floyd could win or lose or be effective, I am just showing that Floyd can easily limit damage using examples from 3 of Mannys fights where the opponent was able to limit his connect rate:
JMM in two fights!!
Cotto in the second half of the fight(Manny getting fustrated wanted Cotto to stand and trade)!!
Clottey for twelve rounds!!

You have to admit, Pac's footwork is what makes him able to deal with these much bigger fighters, if you can't see that then....
If you read the post above yours i stated why we didn't see it in the jmm fights. Pac wasn't getting frustrated coz of cotto's movement, he was getting frustrated that he was running instead of fighting. Pac cut off the ring and hunted cotto down for the second half of that fight. He taunted cotto to make him fight instead of playing the running game and cotto took up the offer.
I read your quote above and I did not see you state why I didn't see his great footwork in the JMM fights. I respectfully disagree about the Cotto Fight. The ref stopped the fight because Bayless got fustrated with Cotto running(I think). However, The reason Cotto lasted to the 12th round is because Manny could not catch up to him to finish him.
Manny is a very powerful puncher. If he was consistently taking punishment in the second half of the fight then it would have been a KO or a more valid stoppage. The KO or valid stoppage did not happen because Manny could not cut off the ring on Cotto.
BTW I agree with the stoppage because it was clear Cotto was no longer willing to fight and I think that's why Bayless stopped it(IMHO).
I can understand if that was his 10th pro fight or something, but that was his 50-51st pro fight. What exactly was he still learning?
People crack me up with Pac has improved since such and such fight.
I remember in an interview before Pac-JMM II Roach(The Great) said This fight will be different because Pac had improved and now has a right hand. Guess what, the dynamics of the fight were essentially the same.
Now everyone is saying the same about JMM Pac has improved so JMM will get killed. They also add the Pac is much bigger now argument(The weight argument has some merit IMHO).
However, styles makes fights and none of this can be proved unless Pac fights JMM again(Wrong thread for this rant i think)

Styles makes fight. I fighter great footwork and movement will demonstrate it against all comers. how come Pac could not demonstrate it in JMM I and II.
Additionally where was Pacs great footwork and movement in the second half of the Cotto fight, when Cotto was running and Pac was getting fustrated becuase he could not catch up with Cotto.

I agree with you that he didn't go to the body that much. However, the times that he did go to Mosley's body looked devastating. He had Mosley cringing a couple of times.
Most were jabs and but he did land a few good hard shots

I disagree they were impressive. Any bodyshot that has your opponent stepping back and rubbing his body with his elbow is impressive.

I can't read the TS mind the thread title is appropriate. The TS first post might be a bit off though.
Some thing along the lines of "Floyd landed some devastating body shots against Mosley" might be more appropriate.
The irony with all of the recent Pac-Mosley criticism from Floyd fans is that Pac/Arum is doing EXACTLY what Floyd preaches.
Floyd never shuts up about how he's a prizefighter, all he cares about are the bills and he's not answerable to no one, if it makes business sense it makes sense and that's all that matters, etc.
So if they're going to support Floyd when that's his motto, why do they give Pac stick? It makes huge business sense: Pac's going to make plenty from fighting Mosley, which should be an easy fight. If it makes business sense, it makes sense, doesn't it?

Mayweather has been slaughterd by pacfans and the media for taking that position. He has been called bad for the sport, called a coward on tv. Now that Manny is doing the same thing, Floyd fans are asking, where is the same anger and venom that was directed towards Mayweather and his fans.
