Floyd tried to make the fight before it happened on quite a few occasions, stop acting like he just waited. Its hilarious how people say this **** when the truth is that if he hadn't fought Mosley when he did then people would of said "Floyd is ducking Mosley too!". Precisely. Floyd calls out Mosley twice while they're in their primes -- Shane claims his tooth hurts and some other excuse -- people say Floyd ducked Mosley -- Floyd moves on -- Shane comes calling cause he's broke -- Floyd tells him to F off -- people say Floyd's ducking him and is scared -- Floyd agrees to fight him, people say Floyd's lying he won't risk his '0' -- people say Shane will knock him out -- Floyd beats the crap out of him -- now people say Shane was old to begin with. Gotta love it.

Floyd is P4P, nobody will beat him. especially not that schmuck Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather almost get koed by Mosley. But unlike Dawson,he has some balls and will. He got caught by a good shot fair enough... but he didn't evem go down, so he wasn't really that close to being KO'd... was very close to being KD though.

What great matchmaking? What timed retirements? He fights guys like JMM and Mosley at age 38 (a legit win but not a prime Mosley) and retires every other year once a big fight is being talked about. He retired when DLH wanted to rematch and the first fight between the 2 was pretty close. I think Floyd got pushed a little too much in that match and did not wish to entertain the idea of doing it again. He used the p4p status thing to claim that beating Marquez was a legit fight....I mean come on. Marquez calls him out and he says sure let's do this thing...and Marquez was slow as dirt and weak as heck at 144. Floyd gets to claim he easily beat the #2p4p guy though and it looks good on paper. Now the Pac thing and he hints at taking another year off to avoid this fight too. Now King is saying that he isn't attempting to set up a fight between the 2 guys.....I mean what is this stuff? SRR fought anyone and everyone and fought at least 6 times a year, sometimes far more than that. Ali took on the biggest challenges and granted rematches in some of his toughest fights to prove he could do it again or avenge a loss. A young Floyd was a wonderful thing to watch, so much pride and passion in the ring....fearless. Now, Floyd is so dang scared to get a little loss on his record because he knows that so many people hate him out there due to his persona that once he loses, the mystique is gonna be gone. Who wants to see a loudmouth that claims to be the best alltime once they lose? It makes him look like he is just all talk and when it came time to face a serious threat, he fell short. Floyd makes up new rules to "save the sport" but none of that drama or extra rule stuff came into play before this fight was trying to be made. If he is that good and beating Pac is so easy, just make it happen, collect a check, and leave the ring unbeaten. When people look back at his career, the retirements, drama, and trashtalk are gonna be what sticks out in people's minds more than the victories of a 20 something rising star.

maybe if dawson had fake retired or took a vacation instead of fighting the dangerous pascal he would still be on course to be an all time great like a certain boxer.

mayweather and dawson are 2 talented pure boxers. The difference is, even after 41 fights, mayweather has never had a night like this. He always comes out on top with the W and he never has "bad" nights. We're talking about a guy who hasn't even looked remotely close to losing since fighting castillo like 10 years ago at 135, a fight which was close but he destroyed castillo in the rematch. This is what makes floyd the best p4p and when he retires for good he will be considered an ATG like ali and SRR. Not by me he won't. Great matchmaking and wisely timed retirements don't put you on SRR/Ali level

Shane would never have done any better. Shane has never knocked out a great fighter. he did as well as he could. mayweather is just better than shane. after floyd was buzzed, he walked shane down in the same round. A lot of people fail to understand that Mayweather took over the same round he was hurt in. They also fail to understand that no one has been able to follow up on Mayweather; after hurting him.

Please stop comparing the abilities and tactics of Mayweather to Chad dawson. for one thier styles are totally different. and second if you watch boxing more often you find that Chad Dawson is more of a warrior than Mayweather anyday. Dawson has gotten his nose dirty in many many fights. Just watch Adamek vs Dawson. same thing could be said for mayweather. take your advice watch his fights at 130lbs.

Here tonight we have a fighter(Dawson) who first and foremost doesn't want to get hit, and some may say doesn't throw that many punches. Then we have another fighter (Pascal) who is the aggressor. Understand that everything in Mosley's offensive arsenal was neutralized. Mayweather would bend at the waist and keep his shoulder over his chin to stop Mosley's overhand right. Mosley's left hook was as good as useless because Mayweather is a master at taking away his opponent's left hook. So Mosley would resort to mostly jabbin', we all know Mosley's jab is pure garbage so Mayweather would counter over the top. Mayweather was even screaming at Mosley saying "Let me see your jab Shane!". It's simple really, Mosley didn't have the tools to beat Floyd. And again, Mayweather was coming off a glorified sparring session. It goes both ways man...

Dawson-Pascal was at light heavy,with Pascal being younger & prime & ranked #2,the 2 best in the division!!Floyd hasn't fought anyone like that since Corrales,he could have at 147,but he chose a vacation over Pacman!!:dunno: I'm not making that comparison either. In another thread the other day, some of Floyd's fans were saying that Floyd was slightly on the downturn. True or not, Mosley will be turning 39 in a few weeks from now. When he fought Margo, he was 37 and had just fought a few months before that (ie. active - no ring rust). Add the fact that Margo has a different style than Floyd. Meaning, it's easier for an older Mosley to catch someone that is always coming at you (Margo) than someone with better movement and defense (Floyd). When he fought Floyd, Mosley had a long layoff. That could hurt a younger fighter, imagine someone who is months away from turning 39. Floyd said he needed a tuneup fight when he came back from his long layoff but Mosley fought Floyd when he came out of his long layoff. BIG DIFFERENCE in opponent selection!!! Another fact is that Mosley actually showed his ring rust and that he had no stamina during the Floyd fight. Mosley was not close to a prime fighter no matter which way you look at it. Had Mosley fought Floyd at his prime, it would have been an extremely competitive fight and people would not be criticizing Floyd's cherry picking. I'm not tryin' to make him out to be in his prime and I refuse to believe he was rusty. You also have to take into consideration that Mayweather was coming off a glorified sparring session in Mayweather-Marquez. Fact is, it's no coincidence that Mosley came off a great performance against Margarito and then looked average against Floyd. It's no coincidence that DLH came off a great performance against Mayorga and then looked fairly decent against Floyd. It's like Jim Lampley said "Mayweather is showing us that his skill level is a lot different then everyone elses". That's the only thing we can conclude.

That's a stretch to say he was almost knocked out. He got stunned and recovered. A lot of fighters would hit the deck after eating two clean shots like that I agree. he comosed himself very well.

stop being stupid & swindling yourself, floyd never fought anybody as good as chad dawson. mosley & oscar were better fighters than dawson BUT NOT THE OLD SHOT VERSIONS FLOYD BEAT. show me a undefeated fighter & ill show you somebody who hasnt really fought anybody. the reason why floyd is undefeated is because he has never beaten a fighter you could rightfully classify as a all time great in their prime. the 3 hall of fame fighters he beat were all past prime & out of their prime divisions (marquez & oscar). there's a reason why floyd is undefeated & has a universal & international reputation as a scared cherry picking ducker who is afraid to lose his undefeated record. ffs, a 39 year old 1 year & 5 month inactive mosley almost floyd KTFO.
