I was just a boxing fan watching 2 guys fight, I didn't care who won or lost and I still don't. Cotto's fans are the only reason I am even posting on the topic. they are hilarious, and have been "butthurt" since they first fought and Cotto quit.
Margarito didn't quit and if their was actual legitimate evidence his gloves were loaded, the fight would be declared a DQ against Margarito. also back when Margarito was caught loading gloves and that pic of his handwraps from the cotto fight surfaced, many other photos were posted showing handwraps from other fighters that looked almost identical.

face the facts, prime4prime, Margarito made Cotto quit and that win was legitimate unless proven otherwise. Cotto then waited for Margarito to suffer a knockout loss and look shot, before he could build up the courage for a rematch, and he only won that on a doctor stoppage via the cut.
Cotto did not even the score. it's the same as saying Hopkins evened the score by beating Jones Jr in the rematch, when we all know that prime4prime, Hopkins had nothing for Jones.
If Margarito had been DQed for low blows, all the cotto fans would still be celebrating like they won :P and btw, I ain't a fan of either fighter.

Its funny how people refute his close win over Dirrell and claim its a loss (it isn't) but don't bring up his close loss to Kessler.
And nobody needed to read that huge wall of text to get the get the gist of what he was trying to say.the difference is, most scored the Kessler fight to Kessler, but in the Dirrell fight most said he didn't deserve it because of his tactics, rather than because he didn't actually win.
Dirrell won that fight and if it hadn't been Froch holding the title and the fight being in his home country Dirrell would of got the nod

One common theme used to be degrading hopkins' resume, the greatest name on Calzaghes resume and nobody but calzaghes fans care about that win. Undefeated records tend to make nuthuggers go wild...most of us love Calzaghe because he was fast, could take a shot, loved to fight, threw a lot of punches and was able to adjust in fights and sweep all the mid/late rounds, he did it against Kessler, did it against Hopkins and completely dominated Lacy and a shot Jones Jr.
Fights at MW with the power of a Cruiser, spars with light heavies and has beaten super middle weights before (ko'd Bute and beat Dirrell in the ams). His light heavy weight sparring partners said he is the hardest puncher they have ever faced.

its an interesting argument about how much close to your physical peak you should be with weeks or months before your fight. I understand that ballooning between fights like Ricky Hatton used to do is bad for your health, but peaking early is also bad right?
Don't know if it's been mentioned but Nigel Benn getting near decapitated by Gerald McLellan. Knocked, not just down, but through the ropes onto the announcement table. Benn got back in that ring like a G and won the fight.
